Bewaji Folashade has revealed how she got kidnapped on her way from a movie location, last night, at Akobo, Ibadan, Oyo State.

According to her, she got picked up by the men, dragged on a bike and was being taken to an unknown location.

In a chat with Tunez, she said: “They kidnapped me at 10:20pm last night at Akinyemi street, while I was coming from a movie location at Akobo. It got to a stage that I had to struggle with them on the bike because they would still kill me when we get to their den..
.
My thought was that it is better they kill me where people can see me and take me to the hospital. When we got to where people were, the bike fell and I struggled to fight them. People heard our voices and they started coming out. That was how they fled and God saved me.”

Despite the heavy downpour witnessed in Makurdi, the Benue State Capital City, a group of persons know as "Revenue Consultants" have defied the downpour and barricaded the main entrance of Government House in protest.

According to an eye witness, they are protesting alleged fraud committed against them Revenue Consultants of the Benue State Internal Revenue Service (BIRS) by the Commissioner for Agriculture, Hon. James Anbua.

The source said Hon. James Anbua fraudulently introduced Agricultural Quarantine Service to replace the usual "Produce Rates" across the state.

One of the representative of a Consulting firm whom spoke on condition of anonymity said, the ban on Produce Rate collection has forced many of their them jobless forcing them to group and stage a protest. According to him, some of their members can't even feed and take care of their family needs.

As the time of filing this report, the group of protesters were yet to be addressed by the governor or his representative.

Police in Abia State have paraded two young girls Chinemerem Isaiah, 20 and Chioma Mark, 14, both females from Nkanu in Enugu State and Umuobiakwa Eastern Ngwa respectively over the kidnap of a three-year-old girl.

The Commissioner of Police in the State, Mr. Adeyele Oyebade, who paraded the suspects at the command headquarters in Umuahia, the state capital, said they were arrested following a complaint made to the Ogbor Hill Police Station by one Mrs. Rose Ndukwu that her three-year-old daughter was stolen by unknown persons.

"Detectives attached to the Division swung into action, cordoned the possible exit routes in the area, during which the duo of Isaiah and Mark were intercepted with the little girl. The suspects were arrested, the child recovered," said Oyebade.

When interviewed, Mark, said Chinemerem Isaiah gave her N200 to attract and steal the three-year-old baby, when her father sent her on an errand at Alaoji near Aba.

Meanwhile, investigation continues to unravel the intended buyer/accomplices.

Multiple news reports state that sporadic gun fire along BIU road in Ugbor, Benin city claimed the life of an undergraduate, Tobi Igioh.

The deceased, the only child of the former General Manager of Edo Broadcasting Service, Pastor Mrs Sidi Lawal -Igioh, was hit by a stray bullet when the hoodlums were trying to escape after they had successfully robbed some shops in the area around 6.30 pm.

Other persons injured in the attack are now receiving treatment in an undisclosed hospital, with the police on the trail of the hoodlums.

Two suspects alleged to have gruesomely assassinated an Italian based Nigerian in Benin city ,Edo state mr. Omoruyi okundolor have been arrested by men of the Edo state police command. They were said to have confirmed that the female lover of the deceased who felt jilted contracted them for the killing. The suspects who said they were four that went for the killing named one moses and power as members of their gang. The said female lover and the two accomplices are now at large. They claimed that the plan to assassinate Omoruyi okundolor was hatched in a drinking spot at evbuotubu in Benin city. An 18 year old girl was also killed by the hoodlums when they were on their way to assassinate Omoruyi on the excuse that the young girl recognise on of them who pulled the trigger. Police have arrested a 20-year-old boy, Segun Olaseni, for allegedly defiling a 9-year-old girl at New Life Estate, Sango-Ota in Ogun State.

Olaseni allegedly committed the crime on May 21 at the girl’s father’s house in the estate. The victim’s father, Mr. Adepoju Akinyemi, had reported the matter at Sango Ota Police Division after he came back and found his daughter in bad condition. .

The DPO, SP Akinsola Ogunwale, led detectives to the suspect’s house in the same estate to effect his arrest. Upon interrogation, the suspect admitted having carnal knowledge of the girl. .

He said he was close to the family of the victim, since they both lived in the same estate. Olaseni said on the fateful day, he intruded into the girl’s father’s house and met her alone. He dragged her from the living room to her’ father’s room and defiled her on the man’s bed..

I wonder the type of country this place is. The burial poster you see below is that of a 20 year old girl who died an untimely death on 13th March, 2017. She's from Amangwu Ohafia. A client brought her photo to our office to design her burial poster. The man narrated how the girl died to us. I don't know the girl but I was angry on hearing circumstances behind her death. The Incidence happened on 13th March, 2017 in EZIUKWU ROAD ABA, NEAR ZENITH.
She was killed by a trailer. The trailer driver was dragging his steering wheel with one of these TOUTS whom you may choose to call AGBORO guys who work for the government of the state under the umbrella of TAX FORCE. The story suggests that the driver might have refused to SETTLE the boys and that made one of them jump into the front seat and began dragging the steering with the trailer driver. Unfortunately, both lost control of the trailer, but it was now too late as the trailer knocked and ran over the girl who was by the roadside, though she ran on seeing that the trailer was no more in control, but the trailer met her there.
Police came, carried the corpse and are now demanding #200,000.00 before they would release the corpse ( though I don't know who is going to pay the stipulated amount, whether the driver, Tax force guys or the parents of the deceased).
I have seen such incidents severally where a tax force collector ( I don't really know what they're actually called and I don't even care to know ) on the road and on duty will have the guts and audacity to climb up any vehicle and begin to drag the steering with the driver, no matter the offence the driver committed. That is stupidity! Is there no better way to penalise drivers who are disobedient than dragging steering with them thereby causing FATAL accidents on the roads. Why would the government allow this sort of evil? And why would the government even be working with touts? It's only a tout that will ever think of dragging the steering wheel with a driver simply because he refuses to comply. It's so sad that the government of this state are the ones who empowers this AGBORO guys who go around molesting citizens.
Now, this girl is now in the GRAVE. She has lost her life because of the Zig-zag and poorly administrated government we have.
There should be an urgent check to this!
We don't want this TOUTS on the road again. They're killing people everyday. Government should act FAST before it gets out of control.

This girl was brought to our Radio station yesterday My Radio Fm 101.1 owerri . Her story!!
According to her mum Mrs Ngozi mkwazema a widow and a native of Emekuku in Imo state but living as a Tenant in Obazu Mbieri in Mbaitolu LGA. She gave her daughter's name as chika an 11 year old girl and a primary 6 student.
It happens that on Saturday 20th around 8pm there was a fight between her children and that of her Co-Tenant which she gave her name as Mrs promise a mother of 3 and married to one Mr Obinna a Keke driver from Ebonyi state. When Miss chika (the victim) came to separate the fight, Mrs promise started beating her and at the same time insulting her Mother. According to the girl, She started insulting my mother and calling my two big sisters prostitutes and talked back to her and told her to stop insulting my family, she drag me the the public kitchen and poured hot water that my my mum was Boiling on me. According to the Mum, Mr Obinna and his wife promise are no where to be found and he is from Abakaliki in Ebonyi state.

A few days ago, six national women leaders of the Evangelical Reformed Church of Christ (ERCC) lost their lives in an auto accident in Kaduna, on their way back from the inauguration of the church in Kebbi State. The accident happened along Kajuru junction, Maraba Rido Kachi road in Chikun local government area of the state on Sunday, May 14. A 31year Old Farmer Abdul Salam has been Nabbed by Asanco police For Murdering his 6 year old son and Cutting off his Head and Legs at Adidaase Near Amanso Amenfi in Wassa Amenfi of Western Region.

The young man is said to have told the boys mother he was travelling with the toddler only to return home without the child.

Suspicions arouse when upon several attempts by the mother to know the whereabouts of the child Abdul Salam refused to tell her where he was.

He later revealed to the mother the child had died on the journey and he had buried him as a result. The mother upon hearing this gut wrenching news started wailing which attacted other people from the community to find out why she was wailing uncontrollably.

The residents on hearing the story reported the incident to the police and Abdul Salam was arrested and led them to the scene where he had buried the 6 year old child.

Upon digging the lifeless body of the child which was cramped inisde a fertilizer sack out of the ground the police realised the head and right leg of the toddler had been decapitated.

After being questioned Abdus Salam revealed a native doctor had told him to kill the child and bring his head and leg for money rituals.

The case is still being investigated and Abdul Salam is now safely in the custody of the Police. The body of the child have also been deposited at the morgue for autopsy.

Please Ritah we need your help it's urgent , if possible involve human rights, there is a lady called Nakato Emily who had just come in Oman working as a house help for like 3 months, I recieved a call from her husband last week to go check on her since her line wasn't going thru on reaching were she was working i was told she was in hospital far from muscat, reaching the hospital asking for her details I was directed to a room of those that have just been operated,
I walked to her bed were she was recovering from only to tell me that she found herself in hospital, she narrated she was well and doing her chores well her boss called her up with some strange people dragged her then chroloformed her (bamukubye kalifomu) then took her to hospital, operated her, so when I begged some Indian Dr to tell me why she was operated , the doctor said they had just removed her KIDNEY that her boss is away to process her travel documents back to Uganda
Ritah please let everyone share this message anyone that knows who can help us with this matter reach out to me , she laying in hospital with a wound bleeding with pain and her boss disappeared with her kidney , I went to Kenya embassy since Uganda has no embassy in Oman but nothing much they can do they contacted Royal police .
That's her Current situation, her kids in Uganda and her Husband who is currently in SA it's all she's talking about, she needs prayers and support

Ali Baba, one of Nigeria’s foremost comedians has called out the Nigerian Army to highlight a case of an officer maltreating a civilian.

The comedian posted a photo showing a military man stepping on a civilian in a puddle, whip in hand.

“Bloody civilian! How dare you challenge an officer. And after investigation, it would be an #unknownSoldier. Bloody civilian,” he wrote as caption for the post.

Though the time and location of the events were not stated, the photo appears to have been captured beside the rail track in front of the Nigeria Army Shopping Arena, Oshodi, Lagos.

A shocked Facebook user shared photos of himself and his wrecked car after he survived an accident that would have claimed his life.

According to the man identified as Osinachi Benjamin Edmound, he was travelling in the car with his friend when the accident occurred. The car lost control and somersaulted a couple of times before landing with its wheels in the air.

The Ijaw National Congress, Akure Chapter is constrained to write on the avoidable and unprovoked incident which led to the death of several persons, burning of a number of houses and the continuous occupation of Ajapa community, an ancient town in Arogbo Kingdom, Ese-Odo Local Government, Ondo State by men of the Nigerian Army, under the code name "Operation Safe Delta."

While we sympathize with the military and other security agencies on the the death of their personnel in the very unfortunate crisis, we wish to state for the record that the indiscriminate burning of houses at Ajapa under the guise of searching for boys of Ossy Ibori, leader of an alleged criminal gang who was eventually killed during gun duel with the military was an outright violation of military rules of engagement as outlined by the United Nations.

Information reaching us from Ajapa indicates that there is humanitarian crisis already as a result of the burning of houses and continuous presence of the JTF in the area. In view of the foregoing, Children, women, the aged and even the sick are being trapped in the forest without aid.

While calling on President Mohammadu Buhari and the Chief of Army staff for the immediate withdrawal of the JTF at Ajapa and its environs, we implore the chairman, Ese-Odo Local Government and the Ondo State government to intervene by sending relief materials to victims of the crisis without further delay.

Finally, as a people, the time to retrace our steps to the good old days is now! A period in our kingdom when boys misbehaved, the whole community would rise against such erring sons of the soil; a period when parents would report inactions of their wards to either law enforcement agents or community leaders for disciplinary action is now!

Policemen attached to the Assistant Inspector-General of Police (AIG) Zone II, Onikan have arrested a fake naval personnel, Kingsley Chukwueke, 26, and two others for robbery.

Chukwueke, a motorcyclist Chidi Ibrahim and a tailor, Alaba Akanni were paraded Tuesday by the zonal spokesperson, Dolapo Badmos, a Superintendent of Police (SP).

According to the police, Chukwueke and Ibrahim attacked a motorist, Pascal Umeh-Okafor on Friday night on Ijora Bridge and dispossessed him of his money, phones and key car.

They were however unfortunate as a patrol vehicle on surveillance in the axis, suspected something was wrong and arrested the suspects when they arrived the scene.

Narrating how he was attacked, Umeh-Okafor, a trader, said the suspects double-crossed him with their two motorcycles in traffic.

He said he obeyed them when he saw that Chukwueke was on uniform and decided to know what his offence was.

According to him, they initially accused him of hitting another motorists despite that there was no car infront of him.

He said they slapped him and hypnotised him, such that he didn’t know what was happening to him.

Umeh-Okafor said: “When they double crossed me, they surrendered me and collected all my phone, phones and car key. They robbed something on me such that I didn’t know what was happening to me.

“Policemen came and asked me what was happening and I told him they were my friends and they have collected my car. But the police were not convinced and they accosted the guy and asked him if he was a personnel. He said yes. They collected my N7,500. There was nowhere to escape the way they blocked me. There was traffic and it was a narrow path. I was the only one in my car.”

Denying the robbery allegation, Chukwueke said that he only searched the complainant because he breached their agreement.

He admitted he was not a naval personnel, adding that he bought the material for the uniform at Badagry Market and gave it to Akanni to sew for him.

He said: “I bought the material at Badagry and gave it to a tailor to sew for me last year. I just sewed the uniform. I have been trying to join the military or police since 2006 without success. I love the navy and so, I got their uniform so that if I am taken, I would know I have a uniform already.

“I was not wearing the uniform. It was inside my bag. I didn’t steal from the complainant. I was riding my bike when I saw the complainant arguing with another person. It seems he hit the person’s car and they were arguing. So, I stopped and introduced myself as a naval personnel.

“The complainant begged me to settle his dispute with the other party, that he would pay me N3, 000. I settled their differences and he paid the other N1, 030. But when the man left, he refused to give me my own N3, 000 and brought out N1, 000 that it was all he had.

“I refused and told him that wasn’t our agreement and he said I should search him if I would see any money on him. The mistake I made was that I searched him. It was while I was searching him that police came and got me. I am not a robber and I didn’t steal anything from him.

“I was carrying a bag that had the uniform in it. I am aware it is a crime to have security uniform when I am not a personnel. The person who gave me the crest on my barrette is dead. They called him Marcus Mighty. He gave me the crest before I left Lagos by the time I came back, they said he was dead. I don’t know if he’s a real naval personnel but I used to see him on uniform.

Ibrahim also denied being a robber, insisting that he only stopped by when he saw his colleague, Chukwueke with the man.

He said aside being a motorcyclist, he’s also an assistant to health officers.

“I am a scout. I have my ID here. I was wearing the military singlet inside. I bought the singlet and short at the market. There was traffic and I took passenger from Wharf to Ijora. It was on my way back that I saw this bike man (Chukwueke) and the complainant dragging. I didn’t come down from my bike. I even gave them some distance and was watching what was happening.

“I asked them why they were arguing. I saw the bike man doing as though he was searching the complainant. In no time, I saw policemen there. I was still where I stood watching them as they were explaining to the police. It was where I sat on my bike that the driver came and held my bike. I thought he wanted me to be a witness but later the police came and they told me to follow them.

“They told me to follow them to explain what I saw. But the next thing, they handcuffed me and that’s how I am here. I stopped there because I have seen the bike man once in Costain. I knew he was a motorcyclist and I wanted to be sure nothing was wrong. While we were still there, I saw the guy running with a bag towards naval base. Then, I later saw him with two other soldiers. It was one of the soldiers that came and said if u was not his accomplice, why was I wearing soldier clothe? I do not know anything about the matter.”

Akanni, a resident of 103, Mosafejo Street, Iyatoro, admitted sewing the uniforms for Chukwueke and his friend, Williams.

He said that they showed him identity cards that they were naval personnel, adding that he charged N500 for each of the uniforms because he was happy he had naval personnel as customers.

The police also arrested a fake cop, who specialises in escorting vans and trucks.

Alex Agbo, 38, was arrested around Iyana Ipaja, while onboard a van laden with iron rods.

According to Badmos, he claimed to be a Spy police, but was caught with police attire.

Badmos said: “The zonal command has been inundated with lots of complaints that security men on illegal duty were disturbing motorists.

“Men of zonal al X-Squad were activated to find out what was happening and a fake policeman was arrested. Upon investigation, it was discovered he was not a policeman and he adorned police uniform. He claimed to be Spy, which he was yet to prove. Even as a spy, he was not supposed to be on police uniform.

“The zonal command also caught fake naval officers robbing a man. Police patrol team saw the situation and was able to rescue the victims. The tailor who sewed the clothes was arrested. The AIG, Adamu Ibrahim has directed they should be charged to court at the completion of investigation.”

On 10/05/2017 at about 06 50hrs, operatives of Orji Police Division received a distress call that a group of cultists were rampaging at Orji Comprehensive Secondary School during initiation activity and were shooting indiscriminately. A combined team of operatives responded to the area. On sighting the police operatives, the hoodlums started shooting and fled to different locations. Thirty-one (31) suspected cultists were later arrested. The suspects are undergoing screening at the State Criminal Intelligence and Investigation Department (SCIID)
The State Commissioner of Police CP Chris Ezike who coordinated the operation averred that cult related activities is a top priority in his road map to fighting crime and criminality in the state. He stated that those arrested would be charged to court after investigation.

The executives of Osborn Foreshore Estate Phase 2, locked my church, Our Redeemers House, RCCG, out of the Estate. And said we are disturbing them.

We are not the only church in the Estate. There are 2 others. But they locked just our church out. My pastor went to make inquiries as to the closure of the church at Alausa. And the govt officials said they don't have anything to do about it.

That its the work of the estate chairman. They have blocked all activities in the church since yesterday. They called police officials to arrest anyone who tries to enter.

Maybe you are wondering if he is a bokoharam terrorist undergoing punishment. No my brother he is not. This is an innocent Father and husband who did nothing wrong but to answer just a phone call at army checkpoint. The lecturer as I later found out simply ask the soldiers who ask him to submit his handset and go just because he was seen answering call inside the vehicle to show him where its warned that no one should answer call here. He was tortured, strip and our vehicle was ordered to go leaving the victim behind….

My take…. Am not a security expert, maybe that is why i don’t know why there are army checkpoints at almost every kilometer in the south east area of this country? What is happening? Why are people of south east being subjected to military brutality of all sort. What is wrong In answering calls inside a moving vehicle. Have u been to Abia state recently to see how soldiers has suddenly turn to relationships Messiahs. Any little misunderstanding between two lovers, soldiers will storm in and beat the hell out of the guy. Of course we know how bags of rice of Igbos returning for Xmas were seized last year December and justice were not in sight.

Me and other concerned compatriots had in so many media platforms decried the unnecessary extortion of motorist from these same soldiers on checkpoints in south east. If there is anywhere that multiple checkpoint is needed in Nigeria it should be at the North where there is serious security challenges.

Two suspected con men have been arrested at a branch of Zenith Bank Plc in Ladipo Street, Mushin, Lagos after they attempted to defraud the bank to the tune of N5 million.

The suspects, Oyelade Seun, 31 and Okpe Chinedu are cooling their heels in prison custody over the alleged crime, according to P.M. Express.

The two were handed over to the police, who charged them to a Lagos court for forgery and attempt to steal.

The paper said the suspects presented a N5 million fake cheque purportedly belonging to Inn Joo Communication Company.

However, when the bank verified the cheque slip, it was discovered that the company did not authorise such payment and the slip did not emanate from the company.

P.M. Express said when they were interrogated and asked to know how they managed to get the bank cheque and the signatures consent of the bank officials, they could not explain satisfactorily.

They were then charged to court with the alleged offence but pleaded not guilty.

The presiding Magistrate, Mr E.O. Ogunkanmi granted them bail in the sum of N1 million with two sureties in like sum.

They were remanded in prison custody pending when they will perfect their bail condition.
The matter was further adjourned till 26 May 2017.

STATE OF EMERGENCY ON SECURITY PERSONNEL

Despite thousands of peace meetings between government, herdsmen and farmers,With government re_assuring people to return to their various homes for farming and businesses, insecurity has continued to grow from worst to terrible on daily basis especially to farmers, whom are only left to survive by God's grace. Even security personnel has not been left out as herdsmen attack them for trying to bring peace.

Yesterday fulani herdsmen in Buruku attacked a NSCDC officer , Inspector Amos Zaatyough attached to special Arm squad who is presenting with Buruku unit of the NSCDC to restore peace in the trouble area was yesterday Tuesday 25/4/17 around 5pm attack by the herdsmen. Insp. Amos H Z. Was on his way back from duty when he saw some herdsmen with guns and knives chasing two boys from along a Bush path, Inquisitively he ask what was the problem when the boys run to him when they saw him with NSCDC uniform and was told that the herdsmen were chasing them because they chased the cows out of their groundnut farm.

Insp Amos who intended to seek for peace on the matter was attack by the herdsmen when the asked him if he was Hausa /Fulani or Tiv and left him in his pool of blood. It was the boys that were initially chased that ran to alert NSCDC officers in their station, that rushed to the scene and later took him to the Hospital in makurdi where the Inspector is receiving treatment.

This is the situation our peace loving society is now faced with as a result of dysfunctional leadership and state of emergency by herdsman on innocent people.

CYRIACUS IZUEKWE

The team of Police officers led by Divisional Police Officer, DPO, Ire-Akari Estate Division, Isolo, SP Timothy Folawo Adeola, have arrested four suspected daredevil armed robbers in Lagos.

Among the suspects arrested are 42-year old Alexander Igwenwogu, a trader at the popular Ladipo Auto Spare Parts market in Mushin, who was accused of being the sponsor; Collins Ogwale, the gang’s informant, and two other suspects, Jamiu idowu, 31 and Lukmon Jimoh Ogun, 29.

P.M.EXPRESS gathered that the suspects went on a daylight operation to rob a legal practitioner (names withheld) in his house based on the information provided by Ogwale.

Ogwale, it was learnt, alleged tipped off the robbery gang that the lawyer came back home with N4 million.

The robbery suspects then mobilised with their arms, stormed the house and ransacked the whole apartment.
But they were disappointed as they did not find any money in the house.

Instead, they carted away items such as plasma television, wristwatches and other household equipment.

P.M.EXPRESS gathered that the gang took those items to Igwenwogu’s shop at Warehouse B at Ladipo Market.

After the operation, the police moved into action and later arrested some of the suspects while one of them escaped and now at large.
They later traced and recovered some of the stolen items at the trader’s shop and kept them at the Station as exhibits.

When our correspondent contacted the DPO, he declined to speak to our correspondent but directed him to the state Police PRO, Ayomide Famos-Cole for details.

However, police sources and some residents confirmed the incident and commended the police for their efforts.
The police source said the matter will be transferred to the State Anti-Robbery Squad, SARS since it’s a case of armed robbery which the station has no jurisdiction.

The police PRO could not be reached for comment as he was said to be on honeymoon after his wedding last Saturday.

Aliyu Abdulganiu, 26, has been arrested for allegedly kidnapping a 70-year-old man and collecting a ransom of N2million. But the suspect angrily told his interrogators that he was not a kidnapper, but only negotiator for the kidnappers. .

Abdulganiu was arrested in Kogi State, after he had allegedly collected the ransom from the victim’s son. He said that he was contracted by Don Jee, the leader of the kidnap gang, to assist him as a negotiator. .

The suspect said he and Jee lived in the same community in Kogi State. Unfortunately, Jee couldn’t speak English and found it difficult to communicate his ransom demands to victims’ families. .

Thus, he hired Abdulganiu to become his negotiator. Abdul is an HND holder and teaches English. A police source said: “Don Jee is a notorious kidnapper. We are still hunting for him. We shall surely get him. He is involved in several kidnappings in his community in Kogi State.” .

Abdulganiu is married and has children. He said: “I’m not a kidnapper. I’m a secondary school teacher. The leader of the kidnap gang, Don Jee, approached me; he asked me to speak with the man’s son after he was kidnapped. .

When the ransom was paid, I was given N150,000. Don Jee does not know how to speak English language and recruited me because he knows I speak the language fluently.

She went to hospital in labor to give birth, the doctor now checked and say the baby is dead and is already coming out with hands.he now suggested DAT to save the mum troubles they should cut the hand of the dead baby so DAT the body will come out easily. After everything the baby now came out alive and healthy.
