We just received the sad news of the kidnap of Mrs Bee Okiti Aghogh with the Facebook name "Oghogho Barbara Abieyowa'

She was picked up at her residence located at New Ogorode Road by Apostolic Faith Church at about 8:40 Pm

The kidnappers who came in their own car were heavily armed with guns, as soon as the grabbed her they zoomed off to an unknown destination, as at the time of filing this report the kidnappers are yet to establish contact with the family.

A vehicle fully loaded with passengers was heading for Benin City a few days ago when it flew into the river under a bridge. According to online reports, only two people came out of the vehicle alive, with the man in the picture helping to paddle one of them, a woman, to safety in a canoe. The vehicle was reported to have sank down into the depths of the river, preventing the rescue of the other passengers trapped inside it. All attempts to determine whether they survived or not failed.

Segun Olumide, a corper serving in Taraba State, died in a laptop explosion while sleeping last week.

It was gathered that despite being rushed to the hospital by his colleagues after he suffered serious burns from electric shock while charging his laptop, it was too late as he was confirmed dead on arrival.


The Ogun State indigene was said to have studied Electrical Engineering at the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ife, Osun State.


Olumide, who was serving at the Government Day Secondary School, Wuro Sembe, Jalingo, was reportedly placed the laptop on his laps and slept off. With tears in d eyes of many corp member Dis morning at federal medical center jalingo as they saw d lifeless body of segum been taken from d mortuary to his home town today may God grant him eternal rest amen.

NIGERIA AND CAMEROONIAN TROOPS CONDUCT JOINT CLEARANCE OPERATION

In order to clear fleeing Boko Haram terrorists hibernating within remote and border areas, Nigerian and Cameroonian troops have carried out another joint operation to weed out Boko Haram terrorists along Nigeria and Cameroon border.

The two days joint operation which was led by Col Dourai and Lt Col Mohaman of the Cameroonian Defence Forces had troops drawn from the Cameroon’s Battalion Rapid Intervention (BRI) and 151 Task Force Battalion of 21 Brigade, Nigerian Army.

During the operation which ended yesterday Tuesday, troops of the two countries cleared Siyara, Kote, Sigawa and proceeded to Bulabundibe towns. Other areas cleared include AdeleKe, Tchatike and Lamukura villages.

While conducting the operation the troops came in contact with Boko Haram terrorists and neutralized many of them, apprehended 2 others, while many other terrorists escaped with gunshot wounds.

The Troops further recovered an unserviceable Toyota Canter, 7 Dane Guns and 5 Boko Haram terrorists flags, 4 vehicle tyres, 2 Motorcycles and vehicle spare parts.

While Addressing the Joint troops, at the conclusion of the clearance operation, the team leader, Col Dourai, stated that the operation was carried out to secure both countries’ borders from the menace of the Boko Haram terrorists. He further commended the Nigeria Army and the conduct of the troops.

Umunnem, this is sad. Uchechi, an intelligent young girl from Ehime Mbano, who wedded last year to her love, Collins Ogbonna from Mgbuji, Eha-Amufu in Enugu State has just been buried last Friday. She holds NCE, B. sc. and PGD in Accountancy. She was supposed to defend her MSC in Accountancy this month at Unizik. She died after giving birth to her first Issue, a bouncing baby boy. What a painful death, May her soul rest in the bosom of the Lord.

My own Personal Experience from acclaimed Nigeria security operatives
I was at my house about 6:00pm

on March 3rd when I heard that members of Lagos SARS were arresting people in my community. Jones street Ebute Metta Lagos Mainland local government Area.
As a resident, leader of the community and a member of a community security groups (VIGILANTE Lagos State Public relations officers and strong P. C. R. C Area C Command , I met the SARS officers to know the reasons behind the arrest - this is to know if I could help them identify anyone peradventure if it's a criminal case.

Instead of receiving answers to my questions, I was shot at 3 times. They left with 6 members of the community. It was later heard that each person would be released with a bail of over a hundred thousand naira each from one supl Biola.

The bone of contention is this....... Are security officers supposed to act like HOODLUMS or KIDNAPPERS ? How would you shot at an individual who only seeks to know the truth? How could it be ascertained they were security officers if they cannot talk about their mission? They could have been hoodlums or kidnappers disguised as security officers to take people unlawfully and request for a huge amount of money for them to be released.

Again, when has it become a crime to speak as a Nigerian? Why do I have to be shot by those who are supposed to ensure I'm safe and secured just because I asked a question? How can I categorically say these ones are security officers and not hoodlums? These are the mode of operations of Boko Haram sect, herdsmen and kidnappers, but I'm still amazed security operatives could do that.

Just as I am happy that I haven't bid the world farewell, I still cannot recover from the shock of the quagmire we are in this country

If we can all recollect 2010 neck gun shot and injury still fresh in my memory by The same Nigeria Police officers.

Hmmm where do we go from here?

It was the turn of the Jerchira people of Benue State to entertain the Tor Tiv at the palace.

To show their culture and tradition, they are dragging the indyer (traditional drum) from the rice mill at Gboko towards the palace of the Tor Tiv.

The indyer (traditional drum) is an instrument used by Tiv people to announce special events, and every special occasion is announced with a different tone. A Facebook user, Bem, shared this post, saying,

"EXCITEMENT AS ZAKI JAM GBINDE LEADS THE ENTIRE JERCHIRA PEOPLE TO THE TOR TIV PALACE.

It's a jubilation moment at gboko the seat of power for the TIVS as JERCHIRA (Kunav and IKYOR) are dancing to the KWA TOR as today marks the turn of Jerchira people to entertain at the palace.

Bayelsa State Governor, Hon. Seriake Dickson, commissioned the 16 Brigade of the Nigerian Army in Yenagoa yesterday. The occasion also meant the operationalization of the establishment. Present at the occasion was the Army Chief-of-Staff, Lieutenant General Tukur Yusuf Buratai. The Bayelsa Governor also cut the tape of the Officers' Mess during the event.

In his speech, Gen. Buratai thanked the governor for the allocation of the temporary site for the Brigade and the efforts undertaken to secure its permanent site.

Responding, Governor Dickson thanked President Muhammadu Buhari and the Army Command for fulfilling the pledge of setting up the new brigade, noting that it will further strengthen the security architecture of Bayelsa State.

Governor Dickson then charged the Army Command not to allow the land for the permanent site of the brigade to lie fallow for too long, while also tasking the visiting Army Chief on the setting up of good command schools and medical outfits to compliment the development drive of the government.

This accident happened in Enugu a few days ago. A Honda and a trailer were involved in a nasty collision. No life was reportedly lost as at the time of going to press, but there is no doubt it is a terrible occurrence in the coal city of Enugu. The Facebook user who shared the post writes,

According to Actu Conakry, a Guinean publication, a Nigerian by name Ferdinand Conté has been held over the death of a twenty-one-year old Guinean girl Mademoiselle Kadiatou Sow, after a rendezvous at a hostel, Akouna Matata, well known as a place for prostitution.

Under questioning, Conteh said a fight broke out with Sow over her refusal to engage in sex, having stolen the sum of approximately N200,000 naira from his pocket while he went to take his bath. During the fight, according to Conteh, a wardrobe fell on Sow, killing her.

Gendarmes in Conakry do not believe Conteh, thinking he must have killed the prostitute, so he is being held for questioning over the matter. Here are the photos of Sow.
