A Facebook user, Ekwenye, shared this yesterday. According to him, the young man in the accompanying photo was shot dead by policemen who met him on Rumola Road in Port Harcourt yesterday. The policemen asked the man, " Young man, you are one among those Biafrans that rallied for Donald Trump on the 20th of January". While the young man was still silent, the policemen shot him immediately and he died instantly. This incident was said to have happened at around 4.30pm Biafra time.

Ekwenye wrote in his post,

"This young man you can see on the picture below was shot dead by the Nigeria policemen who met him on the road along Rumola and asked him, " young man you are one among those Biafrans that rallied for Donald Trump on the 20th of January". He reportedly smashed the windscreen of a man quietly listening to a Radio station operated by a pro-Biafra group, the Indigenous People of Biafra.

People were stupefied in Edo State when a massive fire razed down the popular Irrua Market, destroying properties worth millions of naira. The level of destruction was so enormous that indigenes of the town are at loss about where to start.

Daniel Emeya captured the scenario when he shared his post. He wrote:

"There was a great shock yesterday at Irrua market, when fire destroy property worth million of Naria in Edo Central Senatorial District, the headquarters in Esan Central Local Government Area Edo State, please we call on relevant authority the state government, the senator and house of Representatives in there constituency to come to there Aid."

The Italian police in Bologna provincial command have arrested Desmond Newthing, a Nigerian asylum seeker, on suspicion of killing Lanfranco Chiarini, a 76-year-old entrepreneur.

Chiarini was found dead on January 3 in his villa on the hills of Castel San Pietro.

According to reports by local media, it would seem that Chiarini died as a result of about thirty stab wounds inflicted by Newthing. The autopsy results have already confirmed that the death occurred by extermination, after Chiarini has received several stabs on the neck.

No one knows the motive that prompted the alleged perpetrator to kill the employer, but it is possible that before the crime there was a sexual relationship.

A Facebook user, Senior Rita, shared part of the story. She wrote:

"Because of a hundred thousand euro this Nigeria guy called Desmond Newthing killed the Italia woman he was dating in her own country , he is the course of the whole arrest so far in Italy he forgot that there were camera."

In another post, she wrote,

"This is the picture of the basterd how killed the Italian woman he was dating in bologna Italy ,he is the cause of the arrest of the innocent blacks in italy."

A man, Onyekenum Mayor, was hit hard by a Toyota Sienna in Ashaka, Ndokwa East L.G.A on the 2nd of January 2017 and it seriously affected his ankle. His bone was pulled out from his ankle and he was taken to Aninze hospital in Kwale. From there he was taken to the Federal Medical Centre in Asaba and then finally to Supreme Faith before a surgery was done on this leg.

A Facebook user, Obi Nwachi shared the episode recently. He wrote:

“ONYEKENUM MAYOR SAYS THANK YOU TO GOD, OSANEBI AND EZECHI

I visited Onyekenum Mayor today at supreme faith clinic in Asaba and saw him so fit and full of life.
He told me outright that if not for the intervention of GOD, the Deputy Speaker of Delta State House Of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Osanebi Ossai Friday and the Commissioner representing Ndokwa Nation on the board of DESOPADEC, Hon Nnamdi Ezechi,he has lost one of his legs. Explaining further he said : I was hit hard by a Sienna in Ashaka, Ndokwa East L.G.A on the 2nd of January 2017 and it seriously affected my ankle,my bone pulled out from my ankle and since then these men that I mentioned took me to Aninze hospital in Kwale and from there they took me to Federal medical centre in Asaba and finally to this supreme faith where they put in a huge amount of money before a surgery was done on this leg after all they have spent in Aninze and FMC. I know that soon I’ll be on my feet like I’ve been.

Please I want the world to help me thank the Deputy Speaker, Delta State House Of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Friday Ossai Osanebi and the Commissioner representing Ndokwa Nation on the board of DESOPADEC, Comrd. Ex-Governor Rabi’u Musa Kwankwaso of Kano State is not hiding his ambition to contest for the presidential position in the2019 general elections. A Facebook user, Mofiinternational User, shared this strange story. A man in Kogi State was found exhuming corpses at the Karaworo / Angwan tiv Muslim cementary. He said he had been instructed to bury some materials at the graves but could not show an angry crowd what he buried. He was almost lynched but for Usman, who interrogated him. The police later arrested the man for further investigations. Here is Usman’s post:

He is by name Isiaka Isah, he was caught in a act of digging one of the grave at the Karaworo / Angwan tiv Muslim cementary today morning by our well trained vigilante men in the community. If not for our quick intervention he could have been mopped to dead by the angry youths, but during my interrogation with the suspect, he said his intention was not to exhume dead body, he further said that he has been having a fearful terrible nightmare in which he do see ghost chasing him, which now led him to consult a native doctor who later instructed him to go and burry some items in a grave so that the ghost will stop chasing him but he was later urge to bring out the oready buried item but he said he is confused, that he couldn’t longer locate were he buried the items. He was since been handed over to the D.P.O A division police station lokoja for further investigation.

The Gambian Tourism minister, Benjamin Adam Roberts, resigned his appointment in a letter postdated today following the political impasse in the West African country.

According to Roberts, since there is no guarantee there would be a ruling on the disputed election by January 18, the day marking the end of Jammeh’s tenure as president, he would have to resign to obey the provisions of the Gambian constitution.

Meanwhile, Nigerian warships are closing in on Banjul, the capital of the landlocked West African nation, to force Jammeh to respect the wishes of the people.

Osanebi Foundation is only another average Nigerian NGO which decided that it had had enough with society’s willful neglect of cancer patients.

Earlier in the week, members of the foundation stormed Jane Okpochini’s residence in Amai ( Ishigaguma) to give succor to Jane, a breast cancer patient, since it was a matter of life and death.

The foundation offered prayers, presentations, and consolation to the patient, who expressed happiness over the gesture.

The foundation is known for its care of the indigent, as it is about to pay its second tranche of its scholarship scheme in February worth about 10 million naira.

Some people in Benin City, the capital of Edo State, were thrown into confusion as fire engulfed near the residential home of the SSG of Edo State in GRA.

Properties worth millions of naira were lost in the fire, believed to have started from an electric spark in an air-conditioner in the building, according to an eyewitness.

According to our source, the SSG called the fire fighting service, who immediately swung into action, or the fire would have destroyed more property.

Our source said no life was lost in the conflagration, while forensic experts are currently determining the level of damage as well as the actual cause of the inferno.

This incident took place in Umudike Umuaku Isuochi in Abia State. The culprits were fond of raping women after stealing their foodstuffs. They were apprehended by the villagers, taken to the market place, and unclad.

The Facebook users who shared the photo wrote, "Michacha the son of reverend isreal onyenyiri in umudike umuaku isuochi and his friend was masqueraded today in the market square for stealing Palm oil, goat, fresh fufu. Palm wine soup and other items. this two boys and some other of their friends has been terrorising the village for long. The worst part of it is that after stealing they Will rape any girl they find in the house."

It is a case of one day for the thief, one for the owner.

Youths in Delta State under the aegis of Ika-Anti Cult apprehended a gang of cultists and handed them over to the police. Investigations by The Town Crier revealed that the cultists had been terrorizing Ikaland for some time, making the youths to come together to fight them. Their effort yielded dividends as they apprehended some of the cultists a few days ago.

According to a member of the Ika-Anti-Cult in a Facebook post, “No room for the wicked, Ika-Anti Cult is out for you.”
