Before the useless bank was sold to Polaris, I was already making plans to close my account with them.

In fact, I'd advise anyone who thinks he/she has no alternative to Polaris Bank to consider Piggy Bank. It's safer, less stressful and very efficient.

Polaris Bank is just useless.

I was at an ATM stand to withdraw money in September, and this useless Bank deducted money when the ATM didn't dispense any money. I have been to their branch near me endless number of times. Sometimes, I even think I am more familiar with the route to the bank than I am with the route to my house.
That's how frequently I have been there.

Yet, they have not rectified the transaction till this moment.

And their customer service. They are so wonderful in their uselessness. It is a benchmark for uselessness.

Their employees act like they are doing you a favour by doing their jobs. Acting as if you're just a nuisance.
Very useless.

While that case is still pending, same thing happened again last week. Deducted Money, No Money dispensed!!!.
The Bank is the epicenter of frustration.


And their useless lip service and halfhearted apologies are very annoying.
Disgusting, even.

I should have travelled now, but I am completely stranded because of this useless bank.


And if not for the crookedness of the CBN and the wickedness of the powers that be, the useless bank should have been shut down eons ago.
Install incinerators in the spaces their branches currently occupy and it'll serve more important purposes than having those banks waste valuable, scarce spaces.


I support, without any hesitation or reservations, the total and absolute shut down of POLARIS BANK.

Too many useless entities in this country already, we don't need more of them.

Seun, pls make sure this thread gets to front page. People are suffering and no one seems to be willing to do anything about it. Don't be a part of these people.

Let me educate u since everyone just comes to nairaland and forms I have sense. For every round u fire as a military personnel, u give account for it and trust me u don’t want to tell your commanding officer or even your platoon seargent that you wasted live rounds like that, besides wherever the Nigerian army have a camp or base, the first thing to do is to cordon the area and ensure it is made safe, then they dig trenches( a large pit ) where some soldiers will be day and night mounting sentries. Imagine an Hyena entering your trench at night when everywhere is dark. Point is it is dangerous to have that animal lurking around, it was expedient to kill it when you think of how it could be a distraction and it’s movement at night might be mistaken for enemy invasion. The mistake was taking the picture and posting it online, that was so uninformed and barbaric. Take his from someone who was under intensive military training for well over a year. Pls let’s try and analyse issues objectively, ur comments are a reflection of who you are

Soldiers are not so wicked if you don't cross your line.

Soldiers aren't that wicked unless provoked.

North Korea operates a system of gulag-style prisons, re-education facilities and forced-labour camps in which hundreds of thousands have perished over the past five decades.

In the 2014 UN report, it was estimated that up to 120,000 inmates were being held in the country’s four major political prisons. These men and women have been deemed enemies of the state and are generally sentenced without trial. Many are even imprisoned along with several members of their family, as a brutal form of collective punishment.

North Korean officials deny these facilities exist, yet a 2017 report by top international jurists concluded that not only is this prison system real "beyond any doubt", but 10 of the 11 internationally recognised crimes against humanity have been committed within it.

They heard evidence from former inmates and state defectors of "horrific" practices. Among them, The Guardian reported, claims that "starving prisoners are regularly executed when caught scavenging for food; abortions being performed by injecting motor oil into the wombs of pregnant women, according to a former North Korean army nurse; and firing squad executions of prisoners who attempt to escape."


According to South Korea's Institute for National Security Strategy, the 34-year-old has ordered the executions of at least 340 people. Among them, his uncle - the country’s second-most powerful official - Jang Song-thaek who was convicted of treason in 2013. Mr Jang was executed with antiaircraft machine guns, before his body was incinerated with flamethrowers, The New York Times reported.

He has also been accused of orchestrating the assassination of his half-brother, Kim Jong-nam, in a Malaysian airport in 2017, using a deadly nerve agent.

As well as being unable to leave the country, North Koreans are subjected - as the UN report described it - “an all-encompassing indoctrination machine that takes root from childhood to propagate an official personality cult and to manufacture absolute obedience” to the Supreme Leader.

According to the commission, residents are also fed persistent propaganda designed to “incite nationalistic hatred toward official enemies” including the United States and Japan.

Deliberate starvation of his own citizens.

It's believed that between two million to three million people died during a famine in North Korea in the 1990s. And in 2014, the UN commission found that "laws and policies that violate the right to adequate food and freedom from hunger remain in place".

Just this week a North Korean defector who became a US citizen in 2013 told CBS that as a child growing up in autocratic state she ate an average of one meal a week. That meal was usually rice or dried fish, but occasionally she and her relatives would have to resort to catching and eating baby mice.

"My grandmother, she passed away by starvation. My two younger brothers died by starvation," Grace Jo said. "Not only my family died -- there are hundreds of families they lost their family members."


And yes I am one of those people who believe not just Lagos but good old Ibadan is way more developed than Pyongyang.
