Thank you mi brother for your kind advice, i and my family will be visiting Ghana next week (for three days) on a family visit and also plan to reapply for our US visa next month. i hope this trip will add to change in our status.

HELLO HOUSE, NEED SOME ADVICE... i work in a major energy firm and my company is sending me on a 10 day course, of which they would assist me with official docs/backing to get a us visa, i intend to travel with my wife for the course, and i intend to get a letter from the company stating that she is my wife etc..in addition to her going to the visa interview with our marriage cert/my acct statement/copy of my company id/copy of letter inviting me for the course etc, have booked an interview for her in the coming days, and am wondering what else i need to do?

note: my visa is not ready yet, though i hope it will be granted and ready before her interview date, thus she could go with a copy of my passport/visa page.........[is this really necessary?].

she has only been to uae and some african countires, and her passport bears her maiden name [she will go with our marriage cert, and newspaper change of name cutout]. she used the place i would be staying for the course as her place of stay in usa, and also my name as sponsor. she is into biz, and just registered her company [ltd], though zero cash flow in her company acct as the biz is new

Good evening all and happy sallah...pls I applied for a non immigrant visa with my 4yr old daughter but was denied and I think it's because I just collected her birth certificate frm the hospital this year and it dated 2014 cos d vo asked aw come I just collected it this year and I told dt it wasn't given to me when I had her and since then I didn't go to collect it until I needed it this year...I want to reapply and I Dnt knw aw to convince them that she's my daughter and dt the birth certificate is genuine....pls I need ur answers Fastlink and co...pleeeease.

KweenCee: @Tzetzefly,thanks for ur prompt response.Lemme xplain further.I and my fiance filed for a fiance visa.D rule is dat dia shouldn't be any form of wedding for such type of petition.I want to have my wedding here in Nigeria before going to d states as it will be very hard to come back for d wedding after relocating to d states.So that was y i asked dat if we do d wedding before my interview,will d Lagos consulate find out as dat could lead to outright denial.I will be glad if u can throw more light as Ђǿw they could find out.Thanks once more.

I am a married man with a daughter who is about 15 months old. I have a cousin in the US who is a legal Permanent resident and is married to an american, now the wife is the one inviting myself and my family as relative to the husband. first i want to know, what are the chances of success since my cousin doesn't think he is financially buoyant enough to invite me hence the reason his wife is the one inviting us. Secondly, someone told me i don't need to pay visa fee for my daughter cos she's still a toddler while the other person said i do. All efforts to confirm from the embassy have proved abortive. Please i need urgent advise. thanks y'all.

She's a citizen of US, was born and brought up in the US and she has never been to Nigeria. I'm a guy of 26yrs, am working and well pay. No travel experience, and i have a virgin passport. My wife and baby were granted Visas and sincerely speaking its just God. I will post the transcript asap.

lafad11: Hello to everyone on this forum and kudos to all the gurus here you guys are doing a great job. My family and I intend to apply for a US visit visa(visit my uncle). We all have travel experience. My question is this: should I apply alone While my wife, daughter and our biz stand as my strong tie. Or should we apply as a family while I use my biz and wife's biz as my strong tie. Pls your candid advice is needed.

MechM: I went for my interview today, I noticed the VO lady in the 2nd section was just denying people visa giving them blue paper, I was looking at her and praying she won't be the one to interview me, she caught my gaze, she stood up and I guess she purposely went to get my passport, I was called to her section, my mind skipped like a child that was called to be punished, she interviewed me, I answered all my questions well, she pulled a white was happy at the split seconds, next she said she's sorry blah blah blah...

@OP what is the difference in blue paper denial and white paper denial? My passport is expiring in Feb 2015, could that also be a reason why I wasn't given a visa?

tolarr: Hello pls I need help. I already applied for a visa and my interview date is next week. The problem us my dad lives in Connecticut (he is the one I will be visiting) but when I made s mistake in filling Lagos to New York on my form, though I stated on the form that my dad lives in Connecticut. I have since asked my agent to get me another itinery Lagos to Connecticut.
My question is this, what should I tell d VO if he asks me why I filled my travel details to be from Lagos to New York when I am actually heading to Connecticut. Pls I need urgent response as I am apprehensive a wrong response to DT question (should d vote ask) could put d vote off.

My family would like to spend our Xmas in the state. My 8months old son was born in the US and my wife still has a valid US visa. We v visited Seychelles and Dubai for family vacation in the past. Pls what document will i need to take to the embassy for my interview coming up soon? Do i make copies of my son's US passport and wifey's visa page or what do u advise?

Please i would like to know if a Huaband and wife fillout the form, and end up having different Interview Dates, can they both go together for the wife's interview date since it is coming up before the husband's interview date. Or is there anyway they can change the dates into just 1 day for both of them.

tolarr: I am asking because my dad ( a US citizen has since been processing my immigration paper s, for me, my wife and two sons. My dad sent only an invitation letter to me stating that if the us embassy needs further info abt his financial status they can always contact him for it. Someone already suggested that I will be denied simply BC immigration papers is being processed in my favour. I need or contribution asap as I am scheduled to attend d interview on Thursday. I work in Babcock and my salary is 100k. Presently I have 525k in my acct. What are my chances. I am a Nigerian and applying from the same country.

maximumm: Hello guru, I have been following the trends on the forum for a while now and here is my issue.
Pls I applied for US M1 Visa between June - September, 2013 and 3times in a row and was denied which I don't know and not until the last VO asked me about my strong ties I realized I messed up with no married and no job status.
I am a geophysicist in an oil and gas company now and have been working since November 2013 till date and my company want to send me to an international Geophysics exhibition in the US by next 2015.
Please what's my chance of getting the Visa as I already travel to Kenya and Dubai.

tolma28: I applied fr a visitors visa sumtyms in feb wit my wife and son but was refuesd. We got an invitation from a very senior family friend of mine. I was told by a friend then that d reason for my refusal is becuz of my age and dat of my wife (26 & 25 respectively but this is our true age and what is on our passport) and also becuz of the salary i quote i was earning (323k). Am an operational manager in an hotel and my wife and i also run an hospitality firm togeda. Now we intend applying for anoda visitors visa what is our chance of getting one dis tym.
