Same complain from Nigeria when you were a minister of the Federal republic but you people never listened to the cry of Nigerians nor show Mercy on the poor people but thought same issues cannot/will not happen to you. Now you are feeling what Nigerian have been experiencing for years now.

Thanks for this post, I have really observed this same issue & the modes has giving Islam preference to other religion & something most been done to correct this known error of theirs as quickly as possible.

It is good to hear that a state Governor is dedicating the state security vote to solve other critical issues but he should still in efforts at solving security problems in the state. He should scrap the proposal of building stadias in all the local government areas in the state & channel the money to other critical areas of the state.

Misplace priority, instead of fighting for the election of a competent & hard working person as a Governor, they are busy fighting over definitions. Where other denominations prevented from contesting for the position of Governor in Anambra state by the Catholic Church? or where they force to vote him as Governor. His the Governor doing well or not?

Government officials at all levels should make laws that will help to improve the well being of Nigerians & move the country to the part of improvement & development rather than making unnecessary laws that does not add anything to the development of the country or improve the well being of Nigerians. How does banning male & female entering the same vehicle helping to solve poverty or develop Nigeria?

…as Ize-Iyamu writes Obaseki

There is anxiety in Edo state as the Inspector General of Police, Muhammed Adamu has granted permission to the All Progressives Congress Edo State to hold its mega rally to receive Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu and over thirty thousand Peoples Democratic Party, PDP members into the state.
Governor Godwin Obaseki had said that he is not aware of any APC rally in the state just as the purportedly suspended state chairman Anselm Ojezua said neither the state governor nor other leaders of the party is aware of the rally and purported declaration rally urged members of the APC in the state not to have anything to do with the event.
But the Inspector General of Police in a letter addressed to the National Chairman of APC, comrade Adams Oshiomole dated 11th November 2019 granted approval for the mega rally.
The letter titled “Re- Request for the deployment of police officers to provide security for the All Progressive Congress, APC rally at Garrick” and signed by Assistant Commissioner of Police, ACP Idowu Owohunwa, Principal Staff Officer to the IGP said the IGP has approved the request.
It reads: “I am directed by the Inspector General of Police to extend his warm compliments and acknowledge receipt of your Excellency’s letter of 10th December 2019 on the above-underlined subject.
“I am to respectfully inform your Excellency that the Inspector General of Police has approved the request and has directed the commissioner of police Edo State Command to provide adequate security for the event as requested.
“Accept the assurances of the consistently high regard of the Inspector General of Police, please.”
Apparently reacting to the position of the governor that he was not aware of any rally, Osagie Ize-Iyamu has released an invitation letter he wrote to the governor informing him of his decision to defect to the APC after a telephone conversation.
The letter dated December 9th reads; “You will kindly recall my phone conversations with you wherein I informed you of my decision to resign from the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) alongside several others and return to the All Progressives Congress.
“I had requested in those conversations for an appointment with you to discuss our formal declaration but unfortunately could not secure a date from you for the appointment. When the national chairman of the party Comrade Adams Oshiomole graciously gave us a convenient date to attend the declaration, I had to send you a text communicating the information since I could not reach you by phone.
“Your Excellency, I hold you in the highest esteem and we are coming back to APC to help strengthen the party.”

This is the season of transfer (decamping) by the top politicians in both the the two biggest party in Nigeria as far as Edo state gubernatorial election for next year is concerned. It is within their right to either stay or change party but one thing I know is that majority of Nigeria politicians don't have political ideology but rather looking for what will benefit them. Its better & proper you look at issues properly before commenting without a bias mindset. I am very sure you were ono of those shouting then that President if Court of Appeal should among those to hear election petition but now you are not happy that the same was done to Justice Odili

The PDP messed it oo. The moment they went to the medoa talking about what judges they wanted, they made those judges look compromised and sympathetic to them.

They eroded the personality of the judges and it makes the judges in a way, ineligible to sit on the panel

. That was the reason I said partially agreed with you but both you & I know their sitting to hear the case would have been resisted by APC & it's supporters the same way PDP did during the petition at the Court of Appeal. I believe it was done so as to avoid time & days wasting

@ OP, I partially agreed with you that both Justices Mary Odili & Sylvester Ngwuta should have been among the Justices that ought to have heard the case filed by PDP but including would have ended up been a waste of time & days because APC would have resisted both of them the same way PDP resisted the President of the Court of Appeal from hearing the election petition at the Court of Appeal especially Justice Mary Odili because her husband is a well known person in PDP.

Now that the legal issues concerning the Presidential election has finally been settled by the Supreme Court, I hope the opposition PDP will play it's role as the leading opposition party in the country & the governing APC will look for better ways if improving the lives of ordinary Nigerian & as well work to develop the country

The issue you are referring to his not the major topic that I commented on. The issue at hand is about his performance as a minister & not as a former governor of River state. I am not against him going to jail if he has milked river state dry & the state can drag him to a law court without going through EFCC or make the court force EFCC to do their job.Once again my comment is on his ministerial performance

. I commented based on its job as a minister of the Federal republic of Nigeria & not when he served as a governor. If he has a case to answer believe the job of making sure he answer sure case his the job of river state government

@OP, please what was previous weight & what is her weight presently. Also I don't think prayer is required to loosen ones weight but regular exercises & proper control of what we eat & lastly, the size of the standing woman is not different from the woman laying on the floor.

I think we need more of Rotimi Ameachi's type as minister in this present government. Leaving the office to see how the awarded contracts are progressing rather than seating in the office doing nothing
