Hello Nairalands, please share your experiences how you handle this tenant/landlord's problem. I'm currently having same issues and I'll also need your urgent support. Hope this doesn't go against Nairaland rules. I decided to bring it up here because it's only place outside our cattle racing assembly that we good citizens can share what affects us and get help without cattle bullying. Your brother is actually intimidated. I lost a good family member who usually help and am into banking work but got suspended last month. You know how the situation is irrespective of target options banks are sacking their workers except you have close tie with MD or belong to certain cult group among them (aka family) you can be retained. It's quite difficult I must say before bringing this up. My rent is due and my landlord is angry I should packed,or he'll seal the house today. I request good Nairalands to assist me. Am a medical student here in uniport,I study medicine for passion sake and love of saving life. Truth be told when you get to 500L (thinking which area of medicine to fit in,and what to do,the life you'll live once out) even before your housemanship,you'll be able to understand why medicine is hard. Not for money,but you're dealing with human lives,reason they select the best to equip these knowledge.
Now,you've phone incase it's hard to follow,show me the richest doctor in Nigeria and how much he earns or have in his account including assets? Doctors are just comfortable with the little pay, meaning you won't beg,but atleast you have something daily to eat.
Did I say Nigeria only? Ok,search the latest Forbes most richest men's list just released this month,who are the billionaires? The only top billionaire that got me feeble in medical field is one Chinese guy (ranks no.15 with $67.7B worth) Zhong Shanshan by name,and he's a Pharmacist. They're several other Pharmacist in the list about 120 of them in pharmaceuticals. Then you go down the list to see 59 doctors majority which are in medical devices productions (not surgeons or physicians),even with that they highest Doctor is in 71 position($24B worth). A huge gap. So where is the pride she's saying doctors are rich? Is it to compare with Nigerian bankers this days who are riding expensive cars,those in telecoms,in oil& gas, constructions,pastors,or cosmetics,importer/exporter, agriculture or our politicians? She dare not say that in public. If she wants the title,I'll agree doctors still deserve the respect for the title after many years of training.
So to advice you young candidate and to those reading this. If you have passion for medicine,do all you can to get in there,BUT** if you DON'T**,please don't let pressure from anyone leads you there,you'll be frustrated and perhaps drop out. If your parents insist as they're ones paying your fees,do like Doctor Sid (finish in UI), Peruzzi(finish in Ukraine), Kiki (finish in Lagos) and host of other musicians to drop the certificate for them let them accept it then face your beautiful life.
Also is age, consider how old you're now. I'll advice do the course you like because majority of drop outs,and runs-girls on campus just do a course they don't love, hence frustrate and just continue with lots of carry over so people don't say they didn't go to school. That will not be any Nairaland's portion after reading through this. Stay healthy!

Don't be confused. Am a programmer fullstack developer. Go for software engineering (development). That's what is lucrative now. Companies home and abroad including government agencies will need your skills. Infact in just 2yrs of my experience,once I mention programming,or software development,and marketing in an interview,even banks can't resist me. I choose to work from their pay. Am working with MTN and am comfortable with the pay now. If you have a child writing jamb,or yet to,advice him or her to go study computer science or engineering and focus in software development. The future is software,and you'll be glad to thank me later. A friend of mine,a doctor is earning five zeros (precisely 180-200k monthly),
his car and mine no be mates. You hardly see a software developer in MTN,Glo, Airtel, Google, Amazon,yahoo mail,even in gov.offices like Jamb,waec,inec,and other companies earning less than 700k at minimum a month. It's not blood money,that's where the world is relying on currently. Goodluck as you make your choice.

I registered for batch b npower, but I wasn't selected.
I used a different email to register for this batch c. I was confused on the mail I used to register and I erroneously validated my bvn on the first email ( that wasn't what I registered with). Along the line, I couldn't take the test. Then I realized it wasn't the mail I registered with.

Now I can't validate my bvn on the actual email I registered with. Is saying bvn has already been used. Please any idea of how I can overcome this?

Maybe npower has configured their site again. Before now it wasn't showing BVN already exist meaning you can validate both emails with same BVN. I did that for a lady who had same issue and it was successful. Her first email couldn't proceed to test but she uploaded everything, it was later She realize it wasn't the email she use intially, I use the second email still validate and proceeded to test. Maybe npower has made some changes. If you may,send me email of the two accounts let me see what I can do. You don't have to missed this year again. Check my signature. Goodluck.

Yes I get you very well.
What you're facing is server traffic, because thousands of people are trying to upload same time. In some case you may experience another's person details in your profile. What you do is click on logout and login again, I'll prefer using system to upload instead of phone if same keep occuring. Make sure your profile photo shows your face,other documents can me rearranged. It's not an issue. Once those documents are uploaded to database, it's there. So if the look for NYSC cert. and it's in LG ID section,they'll still accept your uploads. But make sure all of them are in your profile. Hope this helps. Goodluck.

Please my cousin sister wrote her first test after updating her profile and scored 65% the next day she updated her profile again and took another test which she scored 80%

Now she's confused which of the two results will be recorded in the database.

From your knowledge, will the last result replace the first result in the database or will the first result block the 2nd result from recording on the database?

Now don't be confused. If what you say is true,it means she use different emails for the verification. I discover if BVN was used, she wouldn't have got two results because once that is in database no two records of same can be found.
This is not network error, because from what you say updating profile again will still land you with same email registered already and proceeding to test it MUST show the user already taken the test. So if she wrote it twice and her record shows she uses different email account, there's nothing wrong with it as the two results was successful. Reason why those old Batch A&B npower applicant who registered again in 2020 are not affect yet.

If npower uses email, the two will be used without undetected,because on printing this records from website backend development just as normal school admission, shortlist or for posting, the email may not fall in same page. BUT if they use BVN in final screening, it will definitely show because your cousin use bvn to verify both profile/email before taking the test. So any of the two result will be considered if and only if she mate the requirements npower is looking at before posting. Note, as a programmer, am sure there's a coding going on already for last verification before posting, this will come in email as a shortlist which you'll have to enter your npower ID then verify BVN and proceed to centers. You won't even know which score was used.

They usually update their website on Saturday, same thing happens lastweek, but keep trying because you may not know when they're done and the server ok.

I'll advice Sunday morning/evening or early Monday morning to validate your BVN and proceed with no errors whatsoever. Everyone will validate,take the test until closing date is announced.

***For the selection part, am aware that's not a criteria to drop you whether you have low or very low score whatsoever. But it's written in initials ATTEMPT the test. Everyone knows with different ICT tools and help from friends & family you can write and score 95-100 even being the foolish of all. Previous batches all wrote test, it's a means of authenticity in Java script programming and SQL to verify the user doesn't repeat records again once submitted. Just upload correct records and let everything including email, BVN, bank details and registered phone no. rhymes. Hope this helps.

It's network,keep trying and ignore the error message,as a programmer it's script error when there's so much traffic, someone else profile can even appear instead of yours,what you do is that you logout and login again, don't be surprise it was updated. For your case,keep trying and Ignore the error notification until you see "you've successfully updated your profile. Go to test". In the test you'll still have errors, or your password not correct,ignore and keep trying. Hope this helps.
