Peter Obi this , Peter Obi that, why is everyone fixated on this particular candidate, what happened to Tinubu and Atiku. |
I don't know what the noise is all about, the election timetable released by INEC shows that political parties can substitute candidates not later than 17/07/2022 provided the candidate being substituted notifies INEC in writing that he/she wants to withdraw from the contest, supported by a sworn affidavit. |
Why is everyone attacking Obi, a candidate who was barely known two months ago, Why are we not seeing attacks on the two 'Major' candidates. It's almost as if this election is between Obi and 'others'. Nobody is even talking about the PDP. Is there something I am missing? |
Royalty83:Stop trying to mislead people. Arthur Nzeribe was just a stooge to distract from the real actors. Let it be on Record that Humphrey Nwosu, an Igbo Man conducted the freest and fairest election in the history of Nigeria that produced a Yoruba Man as the winner in 1993, let it also be on Record that he refused to annul the election, let it also be on record that the South East voted massively for SDP, in fact I am not sure NRC won any single state in the whole South. Let it also be on record that Abiola, a very successful businessman sponsored several Military coups, was in alliance with his Northern friends in the military. When it was time to transit to Civilian rule, Abiola felt it was his turn to be rewarded by the North for being loyal to them all the while, guess what? They voted Bashiru Tofa instead and when he went ahead to win the election with votes from the south, the same northern friends he was relying on decided he couldn't be trusted with power and annuled the election. Is it not funny that rather than face those who stole his mandate, imprisoned him, killed his wife, and at the end he lost his life, you chose to rope in Igbos because of your hate for them. Keep sowing seeds of hate my friend, it will eventually consume you. |
Primaries that other parties quietly carried out within 24 hours is what APC is acting out like a Season movie with plenty episodes despite forcing INEC to extend the deadline? Wahala |
Peter Obi resigning from the PDP shows everything that is wrong with our politics. I would have been surprised if he got up to 10 votes in the primary cos I'm sure he's not ready to spend a dime in buying delegates. I don't blame our politicians for being corrupt, all Nigerians are corrupt. If you know how much these politicians have to spend to bribe delegates, voters, and pay agents just to win election then you will understand while they steal so much that even the devil will be shocked. We pretend that the politicians are the problem, they are not. We are the problem. We prefer those that can throw money around and expect them not to recover their investment when they get into power. What's the difference between America, Canada and Nigeria, it's Leadership. The whole system is fantastically corrupt. |
Just observe how some are celebrating this news, Then you ll understand why we always end up with bad leadership in this country. The people are the problem not the politicians. |
lendahand:Cleaning the uterus after delivery, removing blood, placental tissues after delivery. Sorry if the term was confusing. |
Some women require vaginal cut during delivery why some don't depending on different factors such as the level of dilation of the cervix. Most women giving birth the first time will require a slight cut to create enough room for the baby to pass through. Failure to give a cut may result in vaginal tear. it's the job of the doctor or midwives to determine if a cut is needed. The cut is stitched up immediately after delivery and cleaning of the uterus. The stitch is also called ' HUSBAND STITCH' as it helps tighten the vagina after the stitch must have healed. |
There is no difference between APC and PDP. same set of politicians representing same set of Nigerians who are ready to sell their.country for thirty pieces of silver. |
Itohan being voted out of the top four is something that's baffling. I actually tipped her to finish top four, from the look of things it's a straight duel between Progress and Zadok. |
I recently discovered that the problem of this country is the people not the politicians. We are the problem, these guys are just acting the way they are because they know us too well. We pretend to love each other but we don't, we only love ourselves and are ready to sell our souls for 30 pieces of silver. They know they can always be sure to get the people on their side after sharing some peanuts and throwing in some divide and rule tricks here and there. We complain of the same things every day yet when it's time to vote we vote along religious and tribal lines. We ve seen all these before, and until we decide to really unite and speak with one voice, our politicians will continue to take us for a ride. This country has great potential, but the people are the problem. Till we decide to think of what we can do for the country instead of what the country can do for us, we may never get it right. I still have hope.for this country though. We must get it right someday, hopefully. |
This is full blown terrorism. These people now use fear and intimidation to force people into doing their biddings. SMH |
Amaechi is clearly not walking alone, His confidence alone tells.me he has powerful backers behind him. The events of the next few months will shock a lot of people. May the best candidate win. |
These guys have metamorphosed into terrorists. This is highly unbecoming. |
All these senseless killings and destruction must stop. It's only a foolish man that cuts his nose to spite his face. it's quite unfortunate to see IPOB who claimed they were freedom fighters, trying to protect their people from terrorists have now become terrorists themselves, terrorising their people. If this Hydra headed monster is not tackled headlong, I fear for the future of the South East. |
This Monday sit at home ish is a very foolish idea if you ask me. Criminals are now controlling freedom of movement. Nonsense. |
These guys have long been designated terrorists, but despite their many atrocities they are still being referred to as bandits, but if any crime takes place in the South East, the media is very quick to attach labels to the pepertrators , sometimes without even investigating. It is almost as if all the lives being wasted in the north on a daily basis are not worth anything. The north is gradually becoming like Somalia, Yemen and Afghanistan. |
Good news, same zeal and bravery should be replicated in kebbi where bandits killed 88 people in one day, in sokoto where 23 passengers were burnt to death by bandits, in Niger state where bandits are collecting tax in some local governments as we speak and some local governments are in control of the terrorists, in those villages in Sokoto where bandits have sacked the village heads and replaced with their own appointees, in those villages in katsina where people have become IDPs in their own state. In those villages in southern kaduna where bandits attack and kill people at will as if they are killing chickens, in those local governments in kaduna like Giwa local government where just two days ago, 50 people were killed and many kidnapped, where students can no longer go to school for fear of being kidnapped necessitating the state government to move all the schools to the state capital. The major crises we are facing today is insecurity, it is the major reason for the increase in food prices beyond the reach of the common man, farmers can no longer go to farm for fear of being attacked. Let's see these exploits being recorded across board and not just in one section cause what affects one also affects all. |
Abia state always producing bad governors |
This is actually a good development, most political parties have been reluctant to test the law as it concerns members defecting to another political party. I pray Umahi appeals the judgement and the case eventually gets to the supreme Court so we can clearly know what the position of the law is. |
Mintum:Do you expect them to use chemical weapons or.nuclear bombs . Which other weapons are you talking about. This invasion was a clear miscalculation from Putin, he was badly advised that Kiev would fall within few days without a fight but as we all know the Russians have lost more than 1000 soldiers, a lot of their planes have been shot down, and they have lost a lot of armored vehicles. The Russians have valid reasons for wanting to secure Ukraine but they should know that you can't just wake up one day and invade a country with a Democratically elected government. Imagine Russia invading Nigeria and wanting to remove Buhari from power, do you think Nigerians will support that. would you be advising buhari to surrender. I would not support that. Russia will eventually win the battle but they cannot win the war. I expect the Russians to eventually capture Kiev but that would be the beginning. They should have learnt their lessons from how they were shamefully chased out of Afghanistan in 1987. The people of Ukraine are standing solidly behind their president, many are ready to die for their country and as we saw in Afghanistan, last year even the almighty US couldn't win the war even though it took them just three months to capture the country. Twenty years after capturing Afghanistan they ran away like chickens. it's very difficult to defeat an army backed by the people. |
History has a way of always repeating itself in Nigeria, probably because we never learn. The South especially the Southwest always helps the north to power, but when it's time for payback, they are played by the smart ones up north. 2023 will be interesting. |
That would be a very smart move from Ghana, he knows the ins and out of the Nigerian team. Baba never receive better offer that's why he still dey give long talk like politician. |
What people have failed to realise is that northerners don't vote party, they vote for individuals. Buhari won kano by a landslide but the governorship election was narrowly won by APC. Buhari also won in sokoto, bauchi but PDP won those states in governorship elections held 7 days later. If a northerner is nominated as PDPs candidate, he would very likely win the election cos Bloc Northern votes coupled with SE and SS votes would deliver victory to PDP. The only way we are guaranteed a southern president is if both parties nominate Southerners. |
Unfortunately , due to stuff that has gone down in the past, people don't believe any info from the armed forces again. |
Abia is now a family business, the son is warming up to continue from where the father stopped. Abia is really a disgrace to the South east, even Ebonyi has overtaken them in development. Big shame. |
FreeStuffsNG:Isn't it funny how you conveniently labelled everyone who's not in support of tinubu as IPOB. Wise up People, this is a divide and rule strategy, let's not repeat the mistakes of 2015 abeg, as for me I don't care where the candidate comes from, whether Yoruba, igbo or kanuri, let's vote young and visionary leaders at all levels, I'm appealing to young and qualified leaders to come and save us from this mess we currently find ourselves as a country, Osinbajo proved his competence within the six months he was in power, everybody felt the real change back then, some young and active governors like Zulum are also doing well. Only a fool makes the same mistake twice. |
Where are the cows. |
If there is no money to steal, increase taxes and borrow more, money must be stolen. |
The politicians always try to use our differences to divide us cos that's the only way they can subjugate the general populace, it's an old tactic called DIVIDE AND RULE, it works by making a particular ethnic group or groups, , a scapegoat, blame everything that goes wrong in the country on them, that way the people will be kept busy fighting each other instead of holding the elite to account. That's why whenever the people unite to fight a common cause, the elite become very afraid. Endsars was a case in point, guess how it later ended, the same politicians started spreading rumours through their paid agents that a set of people from a particular ethnic group, wanted to destroy Lagos,.that way the protest ended up being painted as a protest by a particular section of the country. I guess the tactic worked. |
