Eeechenmeelee1: I just found that even if you are going the custom rom route on a Xiaomi device, you're not entirely free from MIUI, periodically you will need to flash a folder called firmware updates from MIUI rom updates, failure to do so may make your Xiaomi device to have bugs that make the phone unusable or even prevent booting. Normally rom makers have a work around for senarios like this but nothing beats OEM support. On the surface this may look like a bad thing but it's actually a blessing because Xiaomi are known to support their devices for long like Apple even if their devices only get a maximum of 2 android OS upgrade. A major problem Android phones have is long term support, custom ROMs can't really solve that problem because they only update top level Android system environment, the underlining firmware is as exactly as the Android OEM left it n so really isn't secure as you would assume. Xiaomi deserve over accolades for their support of device na you dey scarrer and na you dey build up again. well-done sir |

Olodo24: what do they mean by global firmware? their shipping fees might make up for the Jumia margin.
I'm loving the Huawei honor 8c already though global firmware means that it's made for people outside China |

Nothing wrong in their design choice, everybody does it. However, the price of that Tecno can get you the Huawei nova 3i if you know where to look. |

Biscari: Great............
Wait until your two year old picks up your locked phone and turn on airplane mode when you are expecting a very important call. hmmm, I see your point there |
Phones › Re: The Xiaomi Thread. by ubev01(m): 2:06pm On Nov 29, 2018 |
Biscari: I mean you can edit the quick settings icons even when the phone is locked. You can turn on or off mobile data, airplane mode, Hotspot, Bluetooth, Nearby, etc even when the device is locked.
Modified: screenshot added. I still don't see the problem with that. It simply means I can use torch light without unlocking my phone as well as other things |

Agbi4: How please? You should have asked me if I use the powerbank or if I was using the power bank to charge the phone. I should have changed the powerbank before now but I didn't the need to because since I bought the Redmi Note 5 I've hardly used it. I just need a powerbank now because I will be travelling during the holidays and the light situation may be worse there than here. ok, noted |

MrDoGood: Something we talked about almost a month ago, just yesterday he started quoting me as if he just saw my comment. Trying to paint it as if he sold data to me, when it got to time of payment i started giving excuses and didn't pay him.

macbeyland: I really don't know why this issue should be trending. If he collected money and didn't give service, it's a different case entirely.
Scam is when someone pays for something and the service provider fails to deliver after receiving money. In this case, money never changed hands. my point exactly bro |

MrDoGood: Oga what did you ask for?
Please post the screen shots lets see our conversation.
Where you not the one that said my sim is ''provisioning sim''? and it's not compatible with data share to work on whatsapp.
And i told you i do buy data from other re sellers, but why is urz different?
I called you several times on that fateful day to see how we could fix it and you kept telling me that you are working on it. Only for me to check hours later and didn't see any data again. I called to let you know the data disappeared from my line, and wanted to know how come. You tried explaining and i couldn't relate with ur explanation and you said you were going to tell me on whatsapp. You wrote me and said ''Have forwarded it to appropriate authority to disable it''
Did i call nor message you after the last message you sent me?
Yahaya Abdulfatai, pls respect yourself oh what's up with you guys self? You needed data, he sent. Data didn't work and you have not sent money to him, he took his data back and you are still complaining. Same thing happened to be, he took his data and we are good. |
