Most Xiaomi users still don't know this fact.
The Android version on your phone is not as important as the miui version.
Even if you get Android 11 today, it will add nothing in terms of functionality to your phone.
Focus on miui update, that's what will add performance improvement, new features etc

Yes it's glass though not Gorilla Glass 5. But it's glass and it shatters. The only reason why I didn't scratch it was because I wasn't doing a durability test and Yes I made a mistake with the plastic back. Thanks for the support. I appreciate these feedbacks.

It's not glass, the first since Note 7 not to have glass.

The material is not exactly plastic. They have one name for it.

I'm saying because Xiaomi themselves confirmed it to be glass at the launch event. Whether it's gorilla glass is the only thing they didn't confirm. I still believe it's frosted glass, the bronze and blue but glossy glad for the gray. Note 10 i know is plastic but this, no. Why not just scratch the dam thing self? grin

Your definition of "flagship" is not wrong, but it's not the only right explanation too.
From the explanation you quoted, flagship was a naval term only but today, same word is used in many fields. That's because meaning of words tends to change with time.
In smartphones, every company has it's flagship same way every school has it's best student. So How how do you bring students from different schools into a single list? How do you rate smartphones from various companies? Today, runs like flagship, midrange, budget, entry level etc are used. By comparing the processing power, screen, camera prowess etc in relation to the industry standard for that year determines where that product lies.
So a phone with a unisoc chipset may be called itel's flagship but same phone can not be called a flagship Android phone.
