Kenya — Police in the Migori county apprehended a guy posing as a woman, and they took him to be questioned about his identification.
The event happened on November 14, 2022, after Awendo Police Station officials saw a person dressed as a woman but with clearly masculine traits on his body.
According to a police report, the officers summoned the person and, after questioning him, learned that he was not Sheila Bichange as he had claimed, but rather a Homa Bay-born man named Jared Opiyo Nyatumba, who is 21 years old.
Nyatumba informed the officers that he had disguised as a woman because he had always had feminine traits.
He was wearing a gorgeous outfit, but when he was forced to take it off, they discovered that he had no female traits.
Residents of Awendo would go to the police station in large numbers to demand to see the suspect whenever they heard that a guy acting as a woman had been apprehended.
