According to Socrates, an unexamined life is not worth living. Old age does something to ones life. |
Beaf why are you bitter. He deserves it. This is his payback as a Northern for fighting against Biafra. My Minority brothers chose to pitch their tent with them. P.S. One more thing. Ojukwu never made an oil block |
Congrats Danjuma! I am not surprised. This is why you and your Northern folks fought against Biafra while my southern brothers fought against their own interest by fighting against Biafra |
My advice is that you accept the job if you have no job presently. It does not pay but use it a means to an end - to achieve your goals and vision for your life. An adage in Igbo says "you don't stand in one place to watch the masquerade". Treat the job as if it is worth a million dollar to you. Though you are not making much, but you are using your intellect, becoming an expert in the field which you are teaching and impacting the life of your students who may be Presidents, Inventors, World changers and leaders of tomorrow. If l had known, l would have gone into teaching when l graduated years ago. It would have led me to getting my PHD at younger age and opened a door of business opportunities completely unrelated to teaching but which l could not discover because l did not go into teaching. |
I wholeheartedly support this. They steal and loot because they have unfettered traveling opportunity. Now there window of traveling opportunity is slowly but progressively being closed and even they still travel, they will be searched as a potential terrorist. Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab is the best thing that happened to Nigeria. |
Please can you give me the details of the warehouse: size, facilities, specific location and the cost. We are interested in leasing a warehouse for 2-3 years. You can reach me @ oparah.uche@yahoo.com |

Can the bank CEOs and others pass the unfair exams they subject job applicants? |
Redsun, you missed the point of posting. Libya may not be developed if you are comparing them to West. But to Nigeria, Libya is a First World. |
Why did Nigeria Military dictatorship not develop Nigeria - at least economically - like their counterparts in other countries - Libya, South Korea, Brazil, Indonesia, Thailand? |
Nairaland is a dunghill. People refuse to educate themselves on an important issue that has affected our collective destiny because the posting, in their reasoning is too long and yet they make conclusions and submissions about the issues that betrays their warped ignorance and illogical reasoning. No longer we what we are @ 49! |
Funny how people say America is suffering because of 10% unemployment rate when my country Nigeria has over 60% unemployment rate for the past 20 years. Even the rogues politicians and public office holders who have destroyed Nigeria don't spend 6 months consecutively in Nigeria. They travel abroad to refresh and rejuvenate with our stolen money. If Nigeria was so good why don't they remain here 365 days in a year. |
I concur with abhosts. Go ahead. You idea is great and destined to success regardless of the challenges it will face. I read an article in a US paper where the author,a business journalist, recommended 3 things for anyone who desires to be relevant in the 21st century:
[li]First, start your own business[/li] [li]Second, learn Chinese[/li] [li]Third, l can't remember[/li]
People will say it won't work, not because some of them do not wish you well but because it is naturally difficult to envision the future. If we had a responsible government, they ought to have come out now with a national Chinese language policy encouraging Nigerians to learn Chinese as a strategy of making the country globally competitive. Americans, despite the fact they're global economic leaders, are learning Chinese at a frenetic pace |
I concur with Aisha. I have been weeping for my country for the past 20 years. We depend on Chinese technology and manpower when Nigerians showcased their technology and skill over 4 decades ago in the Biafran war. |
Please can someone tell Lagos State Police Command PRO Mr. Mbah to shut up his filthy mouth. We have his response for the umpteenth time. |
Akinriade is a loser. Where was he during/after Aburi Conference of January 1967? I am sick and tired of all this yesterday men advocating for solutions they fought against, 40 years ago , either by cowardice or acqueiscence without first publicly acknowledging their tragic role. |
Hi . The link is not working. Do you have a number. |
Mr KnowAll, you goofed in the point that Soludo may have failed because he was an Economist and not a Banker. Soludo has not failed. Policy is a continuum In the first place, Central Banks/Federal Reserve/Bank of England governors all over the world are not mostly economist. And more noteworthy, they are principally PHD Economist because the economy is not just about banks but more about complex macro-economy. Carry out a research on countries such as USA, England, Japan and other countries. The present US FED Chairman is a Professor of Economics. In these countries, Sanusi will not near CBN mantle of leadership becomes he lack the academic and professional pedigree. Sanusi and Soludo will surely have different management style. Sanusi may decide to sack an entire board because they over-leveraged their portfolio while Soludo may decide to prop them up to a degree. It's all about management policy exclusive to CBN head based on his interpretation of macroeconomic variables. I support his decision because Nigerian Banks are a disgrace to their profession and to the country. But we must remember the MD's and their Board did not commit any crime. Soludo is still the reference point of success in the history of CBN governorship. Sanusi may equal or surpass it. It is a verdict for the future - not present and will not be based on a single policy decision. |
Millions of Nigerian entrepreneurs and small business owners are happy with the CBN sack. In fact CBN should sack all the banks directors and board if found wanting. Good riddance to bad rubbish! |
Ibime and Afam your "talk" hit the point. I have said it, the bankers and politicians are not different. I even prefer the politicians. You know they are thiefs upfront. The bankers project image and integrity when they are shams. Imagine if 10% of the bad loans were given to to real entrepreneurs |
