Sanchez01: This is in summary the crazy opportunity that Lagos provides over other states.
Sadly, no one is interested in the percentile of who owns these companies. Majority of the companies in Enugu's Industrial layout have folded up owing to lack of sustenance. There is no pride in a state or region that cannot attract investors.
This is a plus. Sadly, it doesn't occur to you that his taxes and that of his boys would be paid in Lagos, regardless of how big or how small his firm is.
Lol! Tell me, how many Ndubuisis have migrated to PH to work in oil industries just like that??
Thank God you are seeing the clearer picture. Sadly, revenues as such belongs to the region and would not be shared with the South East.
No one cares about this. The South East, or people like you hang on to the Indigenous title because your region is not viable for investors to come in and settle. Ogun state is the most industrialized state in Nigeria and the state is feeding well from these companies and is never interested in whether it is 200% owned by Yorubas or otherwise. If your region is that good, you would attract not just investors but quality investors that would bring good development to your region.
Maybe because Ndubuisi is not educated to know or understand that his state governor receive allocations from the Federal government from time to time. If that does not count for federal presence, I don't know what else does. lol can you give me list of companies that have fold up in Enugu. I have many guys in PH doing business and working in oil firms. I gave you reasons your region attracted huge investment go back and reread it. Actually it is the right of every state to receive allocation from FG I'm talking of infrastructures. Its like a Governor boasting of paying salaries when it is the right of every worker. Did I talked about southwest sharing revenue maybe you are quoting me while using a reply meant for another person. Extend major infrastructures to different regions then investments will balance. Every right thinking nation speads their development to different regions. Every region deserves good federal roads. (which Ndubuisi region lacked) The South South suppose to have functioning seaports in Warri, PH, Awka Ibom, Calabar and the river ports in Onitsha suppose to be functioning (so that Ndubuisi and co can import their goods without having to pay huge amount to transport their goods) That way foreign investors will set up business in those region knowing fully well that the cost of transportation will reduce drastically. |

Ovamboland: FCT has been moved away for 26 years now, why is Keffi, Lokoja, Suleja not growing very fast,? Any seaport in Abuja. Abuja is administrative headquarters while Lagos is commercial headquarters that is the difference. You as a business man will never set up a company around that axis. |

Sanchez01: This is not the question you should be asking. This same region returned all seized Igbo properties while the Ikwerres chose to latch on to them and convert them for their own use.
The SE is presently nowhere close to the SW as seen by the country's IGR publications. An average Ndubuisi would rather prefer to strategically position himself by leaving the SE for Lagos because he believes Lagos is where everything happens. I don't blame him at all because his beliefs are well aligned with the opportunities of Lagos.
Bulk of what the SW is today is without the assistance of the FG, if you have ever bothered to analyse the situation on ground. For a region that generates about 66% of the country's IGR, I don't really understand how the FG would want to help them. You are right you can't blame Ndubuisi when Lagos has the only functioning seaport and airport and as a business minded person he will move to Lagos where it will be cheaper to set up his business. He will not be paying extra fees to transport his contenders (for big importers) to the SE when he can set up his business in Lagos and be distributing his goods nationwide. The same mentality are shared by foreign investors who know that Lagos is the center of excellence and commerce. He will prefer to stay close to seaport and where the market (a compilation of every tribe in Nigeria and foreigners) is. Since Lagos is filled up the next destination is Ogun state. But that doesn't mean that huge business is not going on in Aba, Onitsha and Nnewi which are 95% owned by the the people of south east. That same Ndubuisi will go home to help with others to develop his village and help train his villagers in his line of business. The same Ndubuisi can migrate to PH to work in oil industry or set up a business near oil workers. The southwest has the highest IGR I hope you know those revenues are generated from different businesses own by south west, southeast and foreigners while in southeast it is 95% indigenous business. The same Ndubuisi can't boast of any FG presence in his region. |

Sanchez01: The SE wasn't the only affected region during the war. A part of the present day SS (Port Harcourt, Akwa Ibom and Calabar) alongside the then Mid-Western region (Delta, and Benin and a part of of Ondo) all shared in the woes of the war.
Besides, the SW was doing better than the SE and SS before the war, all thanks to Cocoa and the influence of Western education which caused the colonialist to settle in the Old Western Region. The suffering of the old Eastern region was self inflicted. You all have Ojukwu to thank. And after the civil war what is the FG interest and benefits they receives compared to SE |

South west should be happy for being placed in a strategic geographical area by nature which made them the entry point of Nigeria from the sea. Starting from the missionaries to colonial masters who made Lagos the FCT and FG who focus the development in Lagos which in turn favours Ogun and Oyo state. You can't sit a former FCT, have working seaport, international airport in your region without attracting development from every corner of the nation and beyond. |

Am curious how come you yorubas nvr travel to ur villages, really weird. Help alleviate their suffering I wonder too if you ask them they will claim city dwellers. |

whateverkay:
Just like the kano state government did for their youths, president Buhari should also distribute Tea, milk, egg and bread all over the south east so they can eat and abandon their biafra agitations. An hungry man is an angry man. It's obvious the biafra agitations is driven out of acute poverty ravaging the south east. Once buhari can succeed in feeding them, they will abandon biafra and also vote buhari in 2019. It works like magic cos those people are easily manipulated with little things unlike sophisticated Yorubas who are more tact and educated Are you having diarrhea of the brain this morning? |

wyse24: Hello bro, I once created a USA PayPal, I linked my payoneer card and wás using it until they asked me to verify account again. It is about the address I used. I tampered with it trying to create a business account. It is asking that I upload proof of address. The best way to do it is that if you have relation or friend who you can use his or her number and address because they will always ask for verification. The PayPal can work without verification but anytime you receive fund it will be pending till 21 days before it available for cash out |
