I wonder why we have not be able to tap into the solar resources and wind resources that we have rather than gas plants we keep on building everyday. Kudos to the people involved. Green energy is the future.

This is evidence of the silent revolution going on in igboland, mind you 99 percent of all investments in igboland are owned by igbos. Since they say we are landlocked so foreign investors refused to come and invest because of lack of seaports, not that it is not possible to have even river port in Anambra and Abia but they refused by playing politics with it. Even to upgrade our neighbours "SS" own they refused, GEJ wasted five years without making those project reality despite the unconditional support from SE but as industrious and hardworking people we never back down we still raise our head above all. After the war and the destruction it brought and the twenty pounds compensation paid it never slow us down, we dust ourselves up, moved to survive which we did and came back to repair our land. At a time it seems like we have lost our purpose but I'm glad we are back, the news from Abia and Anambra of late gives me joy. I remember growing up in my village I always dream of owning those big mansions I passed everyday and those cars I admire every festive period and now I am growing up and still hustling hard to make my dreams a reality. This is also the dream of an average SE boy especially UMU Anambra.

I assure you, Abia will be great again like Anambra. Anambra, Abia and Ebonyi are getting it. Enugu people need to remove that career politician Ugwuanyi...former house rep member for over 10yrs, and find someone like Chime . Since he came in, its like Enugu just disappeared from SE map...not a single positive news out of Enugu for almost a yr now. Very disappointing as someone that calls Enugu his second home. Beautiful State! As for Imo, why they failed to elect a visionary leader like APGA Capt. Ihenacho amazes me. This is a man that thinks like Obiano and a good friend of Obiano too. If we can fix Enugu and Imo, SE will be on fire.

I love news I read everyday about Abia state of late but I don't understand why Ebonyi state is not getting much publicity like others because I am totally unaware of what is going on in that state. Enugu no longer impress me since Chime left, that state has huge agricultural potentials I wonder why they settled for less after Chime. IMO state I de cry for that state, their case is so bad that nothing works rochas is a big time failure. We need competition in SE let other SE states give Anambra state a run for their money.

Anambra state government has signed a memorandum of understanding with another indigenous firm for the development of thirty hectares of land at the Awka New layout.
The Memorandum of Understanding was signed by Governor Willie Obiano at the governor's lodge Amawbia.



The indigenous firm, the Dozzy Investment Limited, a subsidiary of Dozzy group, has the capacity to develop and manage property mainly housing development, and they are to build four bedroom detached duplex, five bedroom detached duplex with a two room auxiliary buildings among others.
Signing the MOU, Governor Obiano noted that it is
very important that decent accommodation is made available for Ndi Anambra and other non indigenes in the state as the state expands.
Governor Obiano expressed the joy that the project to be cited in Awka capital territory will in conformity with the three flyovers in Awka, give the state capital a befitting look.
He called on investors to build high rise buildings since the state soil texture will contain them.
Speaking Earlier, the chairman of ANSIPPA and the
traditional ruler of Umuoji igwe Cyril Enweze explained that the
total investment is nine point two eight billion naira out of which government’s contribution amounts to one point two eight billion naira while the developer invests eight billion naira.
In a speech the executive chairman of Dozzy group, Dr Daniel Chukwudozie , noted that the state is now a hub for business activities due to the enabling environment provided by the governor especially in terms of security.
The Commissioner for housing, Engineer Frank Offor maintained that Anambra state is fast leading in terms of influx of investors as a result of the secured environment
Speaking at the end of the ceremony, the Managing Director Awka Capital Development Authority Mr Mike Okonkwo, added that Governor Obiano gave them mandate, to make Anambra look like Dubai.(pic) A 14 Storey House @ A Village of Umuchukwu Anambra State!
