We are basically ignorant of the dynamics of the legislative system of governance and it's funding.
This is what makes it easy for them to manipulate us to build their dynasties.

They see us as less than themselves.
They take us as people who should be seen but not heard.
They take our lives and destinies for granted, and that is why the best thing they usually offer is to gift us with 10k or 20k, attend our Burial ceremonies, Wedding ceremonies and Child Dedication outings.
They are not doing these things because they love us, but they are only manipulating us and mortgaging our consciences.

"SUSTAINABLE HEALTH CARE SERVICES"

Health care system is considered to be among the largest industries Worldwide, In Anambra West constituency, health care system is in deplorable condition with many abandoned health facilities.

Every nation’s dream is for its government to achieve a sustainable improvement in the quality of life of its citizens which is possible through a sustainable health care services. It can be achieved through good governance which is instigated by 'Good Legislation' in favour of the planned action that details the vision, mission, goals/objectives and strategies to be attained over a given period of time.

Anambra West like other Constituencies around Nigeria have over the years lacked development plans via attention to health facilities.

Dr. Festus Chukwuemeka Omaremi (Onowu White) as a grassrooted individual is well conversant with issues affecting Sustainable Health Care Services from inception and has made it a point of duty to look at ways of developing these health related services that are not found within his primary Constituency. From the foregoing, he is poised to achieve sustainable healthcare financing with multidimensional approaches germane and pertinent to rallying the support of relevant government institutions, stakeholders and private-sector investors.

To get this done, a strong political will is needed to boost spending on Health Sector and Dr. Festus is well in position for the job because he will initiate the mobilization of the citizens and activists to demand for strong support from leaders at all Government levels.

If given opportunity to serve, Dr. Festus will establish a sustainable and effective healthcare system over the long term and make hospital affordable for everyone. This can can be facilitated through technological and financial innovations that improve the quality of medical care and also save money. How to do this is by creating core awareness on the importance of enrollment in Anambra State Health Insurance Scheme among the constituents of Anambra West. This on its own is considered a key dimension of sustainable health benefits package.

With him, issues relating to maternal mortality, immunisations, malaria, and certain other issues will be properly addressed.

Dr. Festus will advocate for health and environmental policies that reduce excessive waste and pollution, including those that require disproportionate risk assessment of individual patients (e.g. infection control) at the expense of public health. He will equally work on educating health professionals and students about how resource conservation and protection of public health is essential to their duty.

"One of the leading causes of child and maternal mortality, especially during childbirth, is said to be lack of proper health-care service delivery and lack of availability of relevant medical equipment cum practitioners in our rural areas. My sincere aim therefore, when returned elected, is to make conscious effort in positively influencing to ensure our people get deserving health care service delivery at very affordable rate. Erection of cottage hospitals at suitable locations across the constituency, equipment and placement of qualified medical staff will be encouraged to curb the menace of uncontrollable mortality at all levels." he said

What more can be said ?

All these can be possible when a good legislator like Dr. Festus is in the zenith of affairs. He will speak and advocate for the cause of his constituents because he knows the pressing issues of Ndi Anambra West that need urgent attention.

"Our Presidential Candidate is not difficult to market. We have a man who is committed to the course of the Igbo nation. As far restoring the pride and position of the Igbo man is concerned in this country, I have no doubt in the commitment, sincerity of our candidate to do that.

According to him, as far as the onerous task of delivering is our state to our party is concerned, everyone is important. No one will be left behind, whether your name is on the list or not. On his acceptance speech, the State Director of the Council, Prof. Obiora Okonkwo, who spoke on behalf of others, said he accepted the position, because he believe that Atiku/Okowa, will restructure the country, end the lingering agitations and he will re-awake the political alliance between the North and South Eastern regions of the country.

The National Auditor of the People Democratic Party (PDP), Mr. Okechukwu Daniel, has said the party we applied the model used in winning the just concluded Governorship election in Osun State to win the 2023 general elections.


He said the model used in the election that lead to the defeat of the incumbent governor, Mr.Adegboyega Oyetola, of the All Progressive Congress (APC), by the PDP candidate, Senator Adeleke Ademola, will be applied from the Presidential down to the State Houses of Assembly to ensure a landslide victory for the party.

It could be recall that Adeleke got a total of 403,371 votes while the incumbent, Adegboyega Oyetola of the All Progressives Congress, got 375,027 votes in a keenly contested race.

According to the National Auditor, who disclosed this during the official inauguration of Atiku/Okowa Campaign Council in Awka, on Tuesday, PDP remains the only Political Party fill with capable Professionals and Captains of Industrials including it Presidential Candidate, Allahaji Atiku Abubakar and his runningmate and governor of Delta State, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa, to address all the social-economic challenges confronting the country under President Mohammadu Buhari's led- APC government.



He charge the newly inaugurated council members to commence intensive house-house campaign across the 262 Wards the State.

*The Provocative Removal of the Campaign Banners and Bill Board and Illegal Interruption of the Campaign of Comrade Chinonso Ubah (Nonsonkwa) the Candidate of ADC for Mbaitoli - Ikeduru Federal Constituency*

Issued on 27th October, 2022 in Owerri

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) South East Zonal Secretariat received with rude shock the report of reckless, arbitrary and criminal Removal of the Campaign Bill Boards, Flex Banners and Posters of Comrade Chinonso Ubah (Nonsonkwa), the Candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) for the Mbaitoli - Ikeduru (MBAIKE) Federal Constituency in the forthcoming 2023 general elections.

The African Democratic Congress (ADC), the Residence of Imo State, Nigerians and the Global Community were also shock to watch in a viral video the illegal interruptions of the campaign train of of Comrade Chinonso Ubah (Nonsonkwa) the Candidate of ADC for Mbaitoli -Ikeduru Federal Constituency in the 2023 general elections by the purported operatives of the Imo State Signage and Advertisement Agency (IMSAA) claimed to be acting on instructions from above, stopped the Campaign Train of Comrade Chinonso Ubah (Nonsonkwa) along the Orji - Okigwe Road in Owerri Imo State.

Consequent upon the above, the African Democratic Congress (ADC) hereby call on the Senator Hope Uzodimma led Government of Imo State to respect the Rights of the Citizens to Freely Campaign as enshrined in the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (Amended) and therefore immediately call to order the operatives of IMSAA from further attacks on Comrade Chinonso Ubah (Nonsonkwa), other opposition political parties or political opponents.

We wish to State unequivocally that this act of brigandism by the thugs of the Imo State Government acting under the cover of IMSAA must stop with immediate effect as this act of reckless impunity by the operatives of IMSAA has the potential to breach Public Peace if the ADC Faithfuls or other opposition political parties faithfuls decide to Resist this sentimental criminal act by IMSAA operatives.

We therefore would advice Senator Hope Uzodimma and this band of brigands acting under the cover of IMSAA to learn from the mistakes and failures of the past political rulers in Imo State.

On the foregoing, the ADC condemn in its totality this reckless act of impunity been exhibited by the Governor Hope Uzodimma government using the IMSAA as cover.

We therefore urge the Imo State Government under the rulership of Senator Hope Uzodimma to stop forthwith any further aggressions or attacks on Comrade Chinonso Ubah (Nonsonkwa) because of the perceived criticism of the obnoxious policies of the Imo State Government by Comrade Chinonso Ubah (Nonsonkwa) since the emergence of Senator Hope Uzodimma as Governor of Imo State.

Finally, henceforth, ADC will no longer condole or tolerate any form of aggressions or attack on Comrade Chinonso Ubah (Nonsonkwa) or any Member of ADC by the political thugs of the government of Imo State or her agencies in disguise of carrying out government functions.

Dr. Festus In Collaboration with Remichuks Pharmacy Distributes Drugs to Umueri IDP Camp Flood Victims

Today thursday 27th October, 2022 a renowned philanthropist, Dr. Festus Chukwuemeka Omaremi (Onowu White) stormed the IDP camp at Unity Hall,Ekpe Nneyi Umueri with Remichuks Pharmacy medical team to distribute drugs to flood victims.

Dr . Festus while addressing the flood victims said he has come to administer life saving drugs to them because of the vulnerable situations of people in the IDP. He said that due to over population and none access to health services that they are prone to experience worse health outcomes, hence his coming with important drugs that will prevent some certain diseases and health issues.

He stressed that the flood crisis has devastated agricultural production of Ndi Anambra West and disrupted various means of livelihood and access to essential services. He emphasized that protection and provision of humanitarian resources are crucial to the survival of those in IDP camps, particularly women, girls and children living across camps, many of whom are at risk and vulnerable to diseases.

“Health is Wealth, I and my medical team came fully equipped with drugs for malaria because in this rainy season, there are many cases of malaria and typhoid, many children in this camp needs medical attention to curtail some of these infectious illness” he said .

Recall that Dr. Festus had visited IDP camp flood victims on Saturday 8th October , 2022 and denoted food items and other necessary relief materials. Today, he came back to make sure they are properly taking care of health-wise as they pass through the ugly situation of flooding that is ravaging the country.

He concluded with advise that the IDP flood victims should adequately make use of those drugs being given to them as instructed by the Doctors and nurses for sound health while urging the victims to live in unity and harmony by being their brother’s keeper.

Both men suffered similar attacks on their convoy on the 11th September and 21st October respectively.

Both (prime targets) narrowly cheated death by escaping with the bulletproof SUVs they drove in, whilst their security guards and aids (without bulletproof cars) died in the attack as they were reportedly outgunned.

Whilst Ifeanyi Ubah (Sen.) received overwhelming public sympathy and call for review of security architecture, Johnson Suleman seems to be enjoying the very opposite.

In Johnson Suleman's case, the narrative changed.

It's about mocking the church and God's "acclaimed" ability to protect. It's about why a pastor should ride in bulletproof SUV. It's about why he didn't provide the same bulletproof SUV to all his security details. It's about pastors deceiving church members. It's about anointing oil, stickers and the likes.

It's okay to not like someone because of his personality. But it's a different level of evil to dislike someone so much that you wished they didn't survive a tragedy. Or worse still, to twist the tragic story with a ridiculous narrative to satisfy your "feel among" social media cravings.

You can self-service yourself with antichurch rhetorics as much as you want. Enjoying the trend and traffic it brings too. But Don't Just It's social media afterall. Things Are Not The Same Again.

Ahead of the 2023 general election, a support group working to actualize the All Progressive Congress (APC) candidate, Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu Presidency, know as Bola Ahmed Tinubu/Shettima-Disciples (BATS-D), has inaugurated its State and Local Government Coordinators in the five Eastern states of Nigeria.


The States include; Anambra, Enugu, Abia, Imo and Ebonyi State respectively.


The APC National Youth Leader, Dayo Israel, while performing the inauguration, charged the State and LGAs Coordinators to properly, under the vision and mission of the socio-political group, harmonize their activities with other interest groups back in their various States.


It was observed that the event that took place in Awka, on Saturday, was well attended by members of the group from the five States of the South East geopolitical zone.


Speaking further, the National Youth Leader, stressed that there were silent majority of followers at the grassroot, hence, he charged the Coordinators to go and deepen activities of the group at their various wards and Council Areas to ensure victory for the party.



He noted that BATS-D, was in search of credible leadership which could be found in Ahmed Tinubu, believing that he would consolidate on gains of President Muhammadu Buhari administration in 2023.


He expressed confidence that APC will get 95 percent votes in the region.


In their seperate speeches, the Nigeria Ambassador to Burundi, Amb. Elijah Onyeagba and the National Coordinator of BATS-D, Engr. Ifeanyi Aniagoh, assure the Coordinators that the group leadership and the Tinubu Campaign team will always provide them the necessary assistance before, during and after the election.


They advised Ndi-Igbo to engaged other zones with political handshake, in order to sustain the benefits the region is getting from the National grid.


In his brief acceptance speech, the Anambra State Coordinator, Comrade Obinna Muomah, while appreciating the National Youth Leader, Dayo Israel, Amb. Onyeagba, the Zonal Leadership of APC and other supporters of the party, urged Ndi-Igbo to shun politics of sentiment.

*Awka North & South Youth Vanguard Held Her Maiden Youth Summit Yesterday Being 21st October 2022 Titled "The Role Of Awka North And South Youths In Nation-building"*

Sur. Emeka Obi (Chairman, National Youth Council of Nigeria Anambra State Chapter), Ambassador Innocent Nduanya (National Vice President, National Youth Council of Nigeria), Hon. Ekene Anthony JP [Don Prof.] (The Organizer And Chairman, Awka North & South Youth Vanguard), Comrade C.C. Emereonwu (Convener, Concerned Nigeria Youth Forum), Emeka Igwe (PDP candidate, Awka North & South Federal Constituency 2023), Emeka Odogwu Emeka (President, Nigeria Union Of Journalist Anambra State Chapter) and many other dignitaries across Nigeria were in attendance as guest speakers and resource persons.

According to the 1st Speaker Comrade C.C. Emereonwu, the Convener Of Concerned Nigeria Youth Forum, the only way to build Nigeria of our dream as youths is by us supporting and electing credible individuals to corridors of power. He insisted that we must stop supporting evil politicians to corridors of power as youths maintaining that most of us are still supporting evil politicians in our various localities and he charged the youths to rise against this menace and focus on competence of candidates instead of their money as we are currently witnessing in our socio-political system. He insisted that Nigeria across divide must embrace equity and fairness for us to have a country that we all can be proud of unless we shall continue to chase shadow in our political journey as a nation-state which has a great consequence on our peaceful co-existence he summed up.

Emereonwu for his wonderful insight and lecture and said in his epic speech to the youths of Awka North & South that as youth we have an important role to play in nation-building and must rise to take our destiny in our hands maintaining that we must replace the old order with the new order.* *He insisted that our greatest problem in building our country Nigeria is our politicians especially the old breed maintaining that we must hold them accountable and retire all of them for a new Nigeria to emerge where equity shall reign Supreme.* *He charged the youths to respect one another irrespective of our different political affiliations and emphasize before the mammoth crowd of Awka North and South youths and guest speakers across Nigeria that we all must get our PVC ready ahead of 2023 general elections and charged any youth who has not collected his or her PVC to do so immediately. Summing up, he emphasized that we must reject their money (politicians) this time around and vote for credible leaders in 2023 and only this way we can build the nation of our dream he concluded.*

Ambassador Innocent Nduanya, the National Vice President of National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), thanked the various speakers and resource persons before him for their wonderful insight and insisted that we must stop religious politics in 2023 general elections maintaining that this is one of the greatest challenges we are facing in nation-building in Nigeria even in our immediate environment Anambra State.

Ekene Anthony JP [Don Prof.] for organizing this wonderful youth summit and insisted that he is indeed a worthy son of Awka Ancient Kingdom and Anambra in general. On his part as a guest speaker and resource person, he insisted that the youth must stop unnecessary envy among themselves if truely they want to build a nation of their dream maintaining that discipline and respect is a powerful instrument of nation-building and charged the youths to rise up and hold Government accountable and set a new pace and model. Summing up, he encouraged every youth to have a mentor he charged.*

Other speakers and dignitaries who spoke in the event yesterday were so happy about the organizers and charged other local governments in Anambra and Nigeria in general to emulate Awka North & South Youth Vanguard in this direction while speaking on the Maiden Youth Summit.

"INFRASTRUCTURAL DEVELOPMENT"

One of the major duties of a sound Legislator is to lobby and make sure his constituency is counted as one of those who benefited fairly from the general infrastructural development blueprints of a Government in a State.

In Dr Festus top agenda of Infrastructural development to Ndi Anambra West Constituency is one of the major challenges facing the constituency which is deplorable road network and bridges. It has affected famers in rural communities of Anambra West and has impeded the economic development of the people from the region.

It is no doubt that Infrastructural development makes life easier.

When there are good roads, good borehole, health facilities, landing jetty, school buildings and equipping of relevant places, people have a taste of what it is to be in a good environment.

Dr. Festus has dissected his passion for the people of Anambra West and he understands the effect of Infrastructural development in a community. He has the trust of the people in the present and should be trusted for the future too.

Electing Dr. Festus will be a record that Anambra West Constituency will never forget. Anambra West is currently facing many challenges to improve infrastructure for economic development and municipal service delivery. To ensure an increase of access to services for ndi Anambra West, public infrastructure programmes should be implemented. Despite the efforts of the Government, past and present legislators of the Constituency, there is still a backlog of poor infrastructural development in certain communities, because of what we may tag "Bad Representations".

This is what informed my quest and desire to facilitate and influence infrastructural development to my dear constituency, if returned elected at the general poll, as your amiable representative in the Anambra State House of Assembly. As a matter of fact, we strongly desire good road network across our constituency, as the economic benefits attributed to the availability of strategic road network in any city or community cannot be overstressed.

Council for the Registration of Engineers in Nigeria (COREN), Anambra State branch, has professionally certified the Anambra State Materials Testing Laboratory Hub.

The Chairman of COREN, Anambra State Council, Engr Victor Onyeanyana Meju, While inspecting the test lab affirmed that prio to the visit, the council had already been utilising the laboratory facility in carrying out their investigative work on the collapsed two-storey building that claimed the lives of two carpenters at Oraifite, Ekwusigo Local Government Area and others buildings in the state.

Engr Meju highlighted the benefits of the testing laboratory to the people and contractors and said they were currently working with ministries to see how to deploy its use throughout the state to cover residential, commercial, and religious buildings including banks, hotels, supermarkets and the rest.

The laboratory was established to check the incidence of building collapse in Anambra State, which has become a recurring event in some parts of the country.

The administration of Mr Peter Obi, as the state governor then, started the building of the laboratory and was completed and commissioned in 2014 by the immediate past governor, Willie Obiano.

Mrs Ogechukwu Anastasia, Head of Data Analysis and Research, who spoke on behalf of the hub, at the event, said the Laboratory is equipped with modern materials, testing equipment and manpower to carry out the testing, sub-soil investigation, aggregate sand and cement, water and other chemical tests, as well as test on steel reinforcement bars, is acclaimed to be the first of its kind in Nigeria.

According to her, the laboratory would increase the structural integrity of buildings while reducing the incidence of building collapse and other infrastructural defects in the state.

She added that it would also promote organisational structure for learning sound engineering practices in the state.

She said the laboratory test, located at the premises of the state ministry is been managed by Public Private Partnership arrangement between the State government and a private firm.

This is to say, that the summit will now hold on Friday 4th November, 2022 same time and venue.

The above extension is to allow the National Working Committee (NWC) to fine tune the arrangement to use the South East Zonal Summit to Flag Up the ADC Campaign for the 2023 in South East Zone.

The Secretary to the Anambra State Government (SSG), Prof. Solo Chukwulobelu, on Friday, stated that all roads to be rehabilited and constructed across the 21 local government areas of the State, under the present administration of Governor Chukwuma Soludo, will last for good twenty years and even more.

He said the duration is as result of the transperancy and accountability policies, the governor has put in place to make Anambra the most livable and prosperous state in Nigeria.

The SSG stated this when the Council for the Regulation of Engineers in Nigeria (COREN), visited him in his office at the State Government Awka, to seek partnership and logistic assistance to enable the body function effectively in the State.

He however, advised the Council, to partner with the State Physical and Planning Board to achieved the desired goal.

He Also urge the body to intensify their regulatory action in fishing out quacks in the profession to prevent further building collapses in the state and the country at large.

Prof Chukwulobelu, promised to minute their request to the governor for proper consideration.

The State Chairman of COREN, Engr. Victor Onyeanyana Meju, in his remark informed the SSG that the collaboration and the requested logistics will help them to embarked on sensitization campaign to educate the public on the importance of engaging professional engineers with COREN certification.

*JUST IN:* The Labour Party Candidate, for Anambra State House of Assembly, Anambra West Constituency Dr. Festus Omaremi Chukwuemeka, releases his manifesto. This was released during an exclusive interview held earlier today, 14th October, 2022.

Speaking during the interview, Dr. Festus enumerated the 7 points agenda he has for the good people of Ndi Anambra West when elected into office.

*MY SEVEN (7) POINT AGENDA FOR NDI ANAMBRA WEST.*

(1) *QUALITY REPRESENTATION*

The legislative business is a very sensitive aspect of governance that requires the services of personalities with remarkable level of passion, intellectualism, competence, capacity, commitment, preparedness and so on. I obviously have the needed wherewithal to practically project the collective voice and interest of the people of Anambra West in the hallowed Chamber, when elected. Without an iota of doubt, I am strategically imbedded with the required competent-capacity in all fronts to offer selfless and quality based representation, if given the mandate.

Our people deserve more than a mediocre in the House to redefine what a true legislator is all about. I have the burning desire to competitively represent my people. Promotion and persistent maintenance of cordial relationship with my constituents will definitely not be left out in my representation.

(2) *STANDARD EDUCATIONAL SYSTEM*

Education is one key sector no government or society can do without. Its indispensability to humanity cannot in any way be exaggerated. It is on this premise that I have decided to make pragmatic cum result oriented input towards revamping the educational system across our constituency, when elected.

As an educationist/Oracle, I will consciously achieve this by creating the enabling atmosphere for healthy teaching/ learning to strive without limitations. This invariably connotes that eligibly certified teachers must be in place to render effective teaching in our classrooms. Efforts will be made to rejuvenate academic activities such as; inter -school quiz, debate, essay writing competitions and so on, in our school system across the entire constituency to ensure the availability of globally competitive students at all levels. To actualize this, the right instructional materials must be made available in all schools, with our Libraries and laboratories remarkably equipped, to ensure effectiveness in the teaching/learning.

Motivational incentives for teachers so as to extract the best from them will equally be given its deserving attention. Above all, any proposal that is capable of enhancing high standard of education in the constituency will be given utmost priority with my legislative influence without hesitation.

(4) *EMPLOYMENT GENERATION/EMPOWERMENT*

The hazard caused by unemployment and lack of empowerment measures in our society is better told than experienced. Today, unemployment is considered to be a bane nation wide. Most of the banditry and other nefarious activities perpetrated within our communities, are largely anchored on unemployment and lack of empowerment schemes, especially for our teaming youths.

Essentially, to curb this, I intend to take the bold step in altering the narratives within our constituency, if duly elected. Data base of employable constituents will be collated, in order to enable us fix in people whenever there is any employment opportunity both at the Federal, State and Local Government level. Practical empowerment schemes such as; skill acquisition programs, soft loans and other licit channels of financial assistance mechanisms will be enhanced and encouraged to aid our people for self-reliance. This alone can go a very long way in ameliorating, if not eradicating criminal activities in our constituency. This will equally boost the economy of our dear people.

(5) *AGRICULTURAL DEVELOPMENT*

The fact that we are predominantly agrarians cannot be negated. This agrarian disposition which gives us edge and advantage over many others in the comity of farmers, must be rightfully utilized, when I assume office as your representative. We all have acquaintance of the strategic role played and relevant place Agriculture occupies in the global economic scene. I am passion vested to deliberately take steps towards improving the Agricultural status of our people.

Our farmers will be assisted to benefit from existing Agricultural schemes, as I will further influence soft loans for our beloved people to ensure a smooth and successful farming process. Mechanized farming will be highly encouraged to ensure commercialized status. Assorted stems will equally be procured for our people for planting process and I will make sure I build a central market for farm products in Anambra west instead of crossing to Delta state( Asaba and Ilah) before we can sell our farm products.

(6) *SUSTAINABLE HEALTH CARE SERVICES*

One of the leading causes of child and maternal mortality, especially during childbirth, is said to be lack of proper health-care service delivery and lack of availability of relevant medical equipment cum practitioners in our rural areas. My sincere aim therefore, when returned elected, is to make conscious effort in positively influencing to ensure our people get deserving health care service delivery at very affordable rate.

Erection of cottage hospitals at suitable locations across the constituency, equipment and placement of qualified medical staff will be encouraged to curb the menace of uncontrollable mortality at all levels.

(7) *ELECTRIFICATION*

The importance of electricity to the human existence cannot in any way be exaggerated. Apart from the domestic usage of electric power supply, both small scale, medium scale and large scale business holders inevitably need power supply to sustain their businesses. Electricity is arguably one of the most crucial sectors in any society.

Factually, almost all businesses and commercial activities need power supply to function as anticipated. There is no doubt about the fact that our people need a remarkable level, if not constant power supply for a comfortable living. My role therefore, if elected, is to influence the speedy completion of already initiated electrification projects, and equally scheme for the commencement of new ones to cover all quarters of our constituency with visible power supply.

More so, connection of our diverse communities to the National Grid will equally be persistently encouraged and agitated for. I will never live any stone unturned in the struggle for lighting up every nuke and cranny of our dear constituency.

Anambra State branch of the Society of Women in Taxation (SWIT) of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (CITN) has pledged to support governor Chukwuma Soludo's led- government, particularly revenue generating agencies to improve the internally generated revenue of the state for economic development.

The pioneer coordinator of the society in the state, Lady Ifeoma Deborah Obieri, at her decoration in Awka, on Wenesday, assured that the society under her leadership will work with all stakeholders in the tax profession in order to achieve the desired objectives.

According to her, the society under the new executives would undertake a tax awareness campaign to various sectors of the state’s economy with a particular focus on women’s interest, encouraging formation of tax awareness clubs in secondary schools in order to catch the future taxpayers young.

She said the SWIT was formed to encourage and assist women in the tax profession to promote their education, intellectual growth and professional knowledge for the best interest of the profession in Nigeria.

She added that she'shumbled on the occasion of her investiture and call on her colleagues in the tax profession, and other sister women organizations to join hands with SWIT Anambra branch and Society to help the society in nation building and developing Anambra State.

SWIT national chairperson, Dr. Biola Adimula congratulated the first Anambra State coordinator of the society, saying that her election was as a result of her commitment and contribution towards the progress of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria and SWIT in particular.

Awards were given to some distinguished personalities, include; Prof. Ngozi E. Anyikwa, the immediate past Director of Chike Okoli Centre for Entrepreneurial Studies, at Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka, Dr. Loretta Ukeji, Managing Director of J I Ejison International Limited and Lady Maria O. Ihionu, a businesswoman.

Federal Polytechnic Oko, seeks partnership with (COREN).

The Rector of the Polytechnic, Engr Dr Francisca Unoma Nwafulugo, disclosed this in a meeting at the Department of Mass Communication Conference Hall of the institution when the Anambra State Council for the Regulation of Engineers in Nigeria(COREN ERM team), paid her a familiarization visit on Thursday, to intimate her of the activities of COREN in the state. She affirmed that the collaboration will assist lecturers in the Engineering Department to acquire more Industrial and practical knowledge of the profession.

According to the Rector, the Federal Polytechnic Oko will partner with COREN in training engineering lecturers and students in the various technical departments in a recognized companies in Nigeria especially Anambra State.

The rector emphasized that COREN and the Federal Polytechnic Oko, under her leadership, will work to achieve a common goal in the future interest of Nigeria’s Engineering students.

She however lamented over how their engineering students are doing their one-year mandatory Industrial Training (IT), in banks, hospitals and in classroom teaching. She pleaded with COREN on behalf of the Polytechnic management, to assist them as a regulatory engineering body in Nigeria, get very good Industrial Companies or Engineering Firms for industrial attachment to enable their engineering students to have a required practical knowledge of the profession they choose to undergo in life.

She however ceased the opportunity to assure the Anambra COREN Council that the Institution is going to collaborate and partner with them to achieve all their goals and vision. She also promised to do anything in her capacity for COREN to excel and have a positive impact on the society and the institution at large

Apologize to Peter Obi, Nd-Igbo - Anambra CPO tells Ihedioha

Members of the concerned support groups under the audspices of Coalition for Peter Obi (CPO), has urged the former deputy speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Emeka Ihedioha, to tender public apologies to Mr. Peter Obi, and Ndi-Igbo, for his recent statement in which he labelled the 2023 Labour Party Presidential Candidate supporters as saboteurs.

Ndlifestudios had earlier reported that Ihedioha had said that Nigeria’s presidency would rotate to the South-East after the administration of the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar, if he wins next year’s election.

He also called those supporting Peter Obi and Labour Party saboteurs.

Ihedioha, in the video, added that Nigeria could not afford to make mistakes in the 2023 election and that there are two parties in the election, the PDP and the All Progressives Congress.

Ndlifestudios however, gathered that Ihedioha, denied making such statement after recieving several negative responses from Nigerians, especially, the Igbos and thousands of Peter Obi supporters.

Reacting further in an interview with Journalists, in Awka, on Monday, the Lead Coordinator for CPO in Anambra State, Comrade Chidi Nzekwe, said the unguarded utterances by Ihedioha, is to say the least laughable, condemnable and despicable. It is on this strength that we reached the conclusion that he (Ihedioha), was poised to mislead Ndigbo.

"We admonish Hon. Ihedioha, to tender public apology to Peter Obi, his supporters and to retracked his utterances towards Ndigbo irrespective of his political inclination and to display maturity, examplary conduct and due respect to Ndi-Igbo.

"We also called on well-meaning Igbo leaders, Nigerian both at home and in Diaspora to embrace a new Nigeria which will be possible under Mr. Peter Obi's administration in 2023.

Nzekwe, described Peter Obi, as the only Presidential candidate who will save Nigeria from the present security and social-economic challenges.
