A Legislator in the Parliament, either in the Senate, House of Representatives, State House of Assembly or Local Government Legislative Council is a Lawmaker, an Advocate and a Diplomat.

He is there to sponsor effective issues (Bills and Motions) which will uplift the face and axis of his people positively.

He is there to advocate for a better life and landscape for his people.
He does this by engaging the Executive Government, fellow legislators, and influential corporate individuals/organizations on the social/economic/ political needs of his people.

He is a Diplomat who employs his position in the Parliament to forward the course of his people.

He should be proactive, zealous, patriotic and empathetic about the cause of his people.

Let us start a New Era of Effective Legislation in Ogbaru be anyi with NONSO HENRY NWAEBILI (NHN) because, he is best positioned with all the golden qualities described above.

Atiku has never been loyal to any PDP past president, he wasn't loyal to Obasanjo,Yaradu,Good luck Jonathan. he betrayed them by decamping just to fight against them. Members of the All of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA)globally have been charged to henceforth work assiduously at all levels to return the party to it's formidable winning ways.

The challenging advice was dropped this afternoon in Awka by the party's senatorial candidate for Anambra Central in the fast approaching February 25,2023 election while inaugurating his formidable Campaign organization.

Nwankwo, popularly known as "Onyendozi", the great builder; bemoaned what many saw as the drift within the party hierarchy.

He therefore urged the members of his campaign structure, other officers and members of the party to work for general benefit of the party, " just as we all worked collectively hard in the governorship election and recorded a resounding victory.

According to him, "...presently APGA is being tested and challenged in diverse ways, especially in Anambra State, but being the party in power here, the institution of government must be made to work for and benefit us.

" This is a payback time.

"It's sad that someone would schedule an event at the International Conference Center on a day APGA members have events all over the state.

" We certainly need to reawaken the dogged Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu spirit in all of us. APGA must stand tall as it always do, in our state. Things happening around us make it look like we are no more the party in power.

Following the very timely, strategic and historic treatise released by the erudite professor, the Executive Governor of Anambra State, Prof. Charles Chukwuma Soludo, on the future of the Ndi Igbo in the political calculations of Nigeria, the irate mob were unleashed after the thinker and doer of our time with an impeccable record of having the capacity to direct ndi Igbo aright - little wonder in 2015, he was made the chairman planning and strategy committee Ohaneze Ndi Igbo world wide.


Gov. Soludo stated the facts as if it were not minding whose ox is gored. It takes a lot of courage and political will for any politician from southeast extraction, to make the very firm, bold and factual statements as Governor Soludo did. This timely intervention by the prudent thinker (soludo), has given leeway to other prominent Igbo leaders who for the avoidance of the shameful macabre dance by the untamed mob swallowed their hallowed bank of wisdom and refused to air an opinion on this matter, now to come forward with critical thinking and analysis...the constant question remains, "what is the place of Ndi Igbo in the political gimmicks of Nigeria?"


Four things are crystal clear on this issue and must be dispassionately analysed.


1. History repeats itself only to those who do not learn from history. Ndi Igbo must now wake up and adopt the political sagacity and gusto of late Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe, of which it seems our Yoruba brothers have learnt quickly and are now implementing. The zikist politics of bridge building gave Ndi Igbo our best chance in the political history of Nigeria. When an Igbo man was President of Nigeria in the '60s, and another Igbo man as Senate President, the same zikist politics of alliance gave Ndi the Vice Presidential and House of Reps Speakership slots in 1979. That is what Ndi has forgone for wishful thinking and mob action which has repeatedly gotten us nowhere!


2. Let's not be emotional about it, no Igbo man can be President of Nigeria without a formidable alliance with at least an arm of the other major regions that made up Nigeria. In the early '60s and late '70s, ndi Igbo understood this point quite frankly and maintained a robust relationship with our northern brothers whilst the Westerners maintained the "we no free" posture that Ndi has suddenly adopted lately. Our brother Peter Obi does not have this alliance and knows very well that an irate social media mob does not and cannot make him President.


Truly, Peter Obi's presidential sojourn is a sabotage to Ndi Igbo. What he has only succeeded in doing is increasing APC's chances of winning the election by depleting the votes of the southeast for PDP. The implication is that the Southeasterners will have to stay out of power for a minimum of another 16 years. Because after Tinubu (if he wins), power would return to the north for another 8 years leaving Ndi Igbo out for another 16 solid years. If Mr. Peter Obi truly loves ndi Igbo, he should step down forthwith and strategize with other well-meaning Igbo elites in charting a way forward for Ndi Igbo. We repeat, the presidency is not won on the premise of wishful thinking and hullabaloo of an untamed mob, who probably does not even understand the need for a pathway for ndi Igbo in their quest for the topmost seat in Nigeria.


3. Peter Obi (if he steps down) and of course Ohaneze Ndi Igbo and other prominent Igbo leaders must now without any further delay, engage seriously with the frontliners in the forthcoming presidential election, and secure bankable negotiations for Igbo political renaissance and pathway to the presidency of Nigeria!


4. The irate mob is hereby advised to desist from hauling insults and threats on the Executive Governor of Anambra State, members of his family and other very well-meaning and prominent Igbo leaders, whose opinions differ from theirs. Truth is truth no matter how long it takes, in this case, in few months, the facts will be bare for all to see, feel and almost touch!


Any form of abuse will no longer be tolerated and will be greeted with a corresponding response. In the coming days, you will hear more from us.

The Transition Committee Chairman of Orumba North Local Government Area of Anambra State, Sir Ogochukwu Ekwueme, has said the management of the Council Area, has put in place, plan to holds a millionaire marathon competition programme for micro-business owners within the local area.

He said at the completion of the competition in the year 2023 a total of one hundred and twenty (120), business owner of Orumba North indegines will be trained on how to run the businesses effectively.

Sir Ekwueme, disclosed this on Friday, at Ajali, Secretariat of the council area during the official unveiling of 6-point agenda of his administration, which include; Skill Acquisition programme, Security, Sports, Environment, Agriculture and Healthcare.

He said the millionaire competition and other skill acquisition programmes, the graphic designing, hardware repairs, MS Excel master class, CCTV installation, furniture making, wig making and leather manufacturing put in place for the unemployed, was meant to encouraged local business owners, boost employment opportunities and to eliminate poverty in the entire council area.

He noted that 60 businesses will also get cash injections for expansion.

According to him, "This is a quarterly competition for existing micro businesses within Orumba North that will be passed through a rigorous selection process. Shortlisted individuals will attend World class business seminars for Chief Executive Officer (CEO)'s to equip them for the competition. Selected businesses will be awarded grants based on their ability to pitch their business proposals for expansion to an esteemed group of judges and the registration forms for each of the above mentioned programs will be available at a nominal fee from the Council Headquarters in the office of the Deputy Chairman from Thursday, the 24th of November, 2022.

The Chairman added that to ensure reduction of female reproductive tract infections, by the end of 2022, over 300 Senior Secondary School girls through his wife, Lady Chiaku Ekwueme's effort, will be educated and given monthly supply of sanitary kits.

He appealed to well-to-do individuals in the council area to support the projects to curbed insecurity and youth restiveness in the society.

The event was attended by Governor Soludo's Chief of staff, Mr. Ernest Ezeajughi, the State Accountant-General, Dr. Chukwudi Okoli, the State Commissioner for Lands, Engr. Ifeanyi Akoma, Vice President of Ohaneze Ndi-Igbo, Chief Damian Okeke-Ogene, APGA candidate for Orumba North/South Federal Constituency in the 2023 election, Chief Eric Eze, Hon. Emeka Aforka, Traditional rulers, APGA supporters, among other invited guests.

Nigerian Tribune gathered that Sir Ekwueme, who is the son of late Dr. Alex Ekwueme, was inaugurated as the new Transition Committee Chairman of the council by the State Governor, Chukwuma Soludo, on 2nd August, 2022.

A team of officers attached to the International Organization for Migration (IOM) under the leadership of the United Nations, yesterday visited Awka Capital Territory Development Authority (ACTDA) and seeks Collaboration with the State Government and ACTDA in other to cushion the effects of flood in the state.

Speaking during the visit, the Spokesperson of the group, Miss Adelede, appreciated the amount of effort and commitment she has seen in the public service culture of Ndi Anambra, which is the reason they could easily assist the state.

" We are here majorly on issues with flooding and how we could provide services at the medium and long time scale"

" We are providing technical support in mapping out areas that tend towards being more flooded so that we can tackle the coming events"

Also speaking, Mr Hezekiah Samuel said that they are also interested in anything that could cause mobility migration as a result of climate change and security risk adding that they will collect the data of the people involved, visit them and relate to their management team on the needs of those people.

In response, the Managing Director of ACTDA, Mr Ossy Onuko while welcoming the group, also took them into the history of the emergence of the Authority, adding that the Authority is in charge of regulating infrastructural development.

" We are here to see to infrastructural development, attract investors and give ambience to the capital Territory "

He said that the Authority is ready to collaborate and offer any assistance required to combat the issue of flood and erosion bedevilling the state.

He also led the team to the Authority's Data lab where they were assisted with the Aerial Map of Anambra to help with their data collating. (MOI)

Rotary Club of Awka Municipal, has called for an end to vote-buying ahead of the 2023 elections.

The Club made the call on Tuesday, in Awka, during the installation of Rotarian Uchenna Ezeani as the second president of the club in Awka.

Rotarian Ezeani, who spoke to the press, shortly after his installation, said he would intimate and work with other members of the Club to sensitise and educate the public, particularly the electorate, on the danger of vote-buying and selling in democratic despensation.

He said if Nigeria must free from corruption and bad leadership, then the practices of vote buying and selling among the politicians and their political parties must stop.

While thanking his members for finding him worthy of the position, Ezeani, promised that Rotary Club of Awka Municipal, would do everything within its power to partner with Governor Chukwuma Soludo's Administration, political organizations and other Civil Society to ensure a credible and peacefull 2023 election in Anambra and the country at large.

Groups of former ward Councilors of Awka South LGA (2017 set) and the Association of Professional Women Engineers in Nigeria (APEWN) Awka Chapter have advised the Managing Director of ACTDA discharge his duties without fear or favour to ensure that he writes his name in sands of time in the development of Awka Capital Territory.

The groups spoke persons, Hon. Chief Obiora Okafor and Engr. Helen ifeanyichukwu, made this remark today, during their solidarity visit to the Managing Director of ACTDA.

They expressed happiness at the spate of work which the ACTDA Boss has done within three weeks of his appointment to the office and expressed optimism that he will do more especially in restoring sanity in Awka.

In response, the Managing Director of Awka Capital Territory Development Authority, Mr Ossy Onuko, while taking the groups through his achievements in the office within few weeks, disclosed that the government of Prof. Chukwma Soludo, have approved the building of a pedestrian bridge at Regina Caeli junction while assuring them that he will leave no stone unturned in making Awka Capital Territory, a befitting capital.

The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Awka Capital Territory Development Authority, Mr. Ossy Onuko says Governor Chukwuma Soludo is a change maker who is passionate about developing all sectors of the Anambra economy.

Mr. Onuko disclosed this while speaking to newsmen in Awka after an enforcement and oversight visits in some parts of the city.

The ACTDA boss said that Ndi Anambra made the right choice in the person of Governor Soludo, as according to him, the former CBN boss is a master planner and a strategist, who will conscientiously develop Anambra.

He maintained that Governor Soludo's approach to governance is so simple that it makes every party to his project to work seamlessly without any interference.

Mr. Onuko who also received Awka South One All Progressives Grand Alliance Women Leaders earlier in the day and urged the APGA faithful to spread the Solution gospel to the nooks and crannies of the State to ensure that the party wins all elective posts in the forthcoming 2023 general elections.

According to the ACTDA Managing Director, his vision is to ensure that the Capital Territory remains one of the most organized, secure and livable City, which will be envious of other cities in Nigeria, and warned that under his watch, indiscriminate and unapproved buildings will be a thing of the past, as well as roadsides trading.

Mr. Onuko re-assured that "Operation Zero Potholes" and "Clean and Green" initiatives among others embarked upon by the agency, will continue, even as he appreciated various companies who are partnering with the agency to achieve the milestone without any cost to the Anambra state government.

Ahead of the 2023 general election, Youths from the Anambra West Local Government Area of Anambra State, has organised debate for all the political parties and their candidates vying to represent Anambra West State Constituency at the State House of Assembly Awka.

The event which took place, on Sunday, at Ajandu hall, Umuezi-Anam, in the Council Area, was conducted in an open debate and witnessed by the Media, Non-Governmental Organisation, civil society groups, faith-based organisations, political leaders and supporters of the contesting parties.

Reeling out his vision and plans for the Constituency if elected, the Labour Party (LP) Candidate for the State Assembly, Dr. Festus Chukwuemeka, assure the people that he will rehabilitates all the dilapidated Healthcare Centres, School buildings across the communities in Anambra West LGAs.

Chukwuemeka, who arrive the venue with hundreds of his supporters, also promised to established Central Farm Market in the Area in partnership with the State Government to generate revenue for the state and to pave way for job opportunities for youths in the area.

He also promised to render account of his achievement monthly basis via town hall meetings, if given the opportunity to served.

He appealed to the youths to vote for the Labour Party Presidential Candidate, Mr. Peter Obi, himself and all other Labour Party Candidates in Anambra State.

He said the debate has given the candidates the opportunity to sell their vision and plans to the Constituency and it has also given the electorate the opportunity to assess the candidates and to choose who will represent their interest without godfatherism at the State Legislative Chambers, Awka, come May, 2023.

According to Okoye, "we the Youth, we have been interested and strongly involved in the leadership and governance of the democratic system in Anambra State and Nigeria; we believe that when credible leaders are elected into public office it will consequently drive development and reduce godfatherism, corruption and poverty to a great degree.”

He noted that similar exercise would also be organised for Obiano's wife, Dr. Ebelechukwu Obiano (APGA Candidate for Senate), Senator Stella Oduah (PDP Candidate for Senate), Dr. Tony Nwoye (Labour Party Candidate for Senate) and all the House of Representatives Candidates from Anambra North Senatorial District.

INC made the rebuttal, Saturday 12thNovember 2022, in statement signed by the Chairman of the INC , Hon Ikeobi and made available to newsmen in Anambra state.

The statement which read in part stated the Union has its workings and norms adding that they are in total support of a Nigerian President of IGBO extraction and we are in total support of Labour Party Presidential Candidate Peter Obi and all Labour Party candidates from top to bottom.

We want to state it categorically very clear that, INC is never in support of PDP and will never be. We are aware of the publication trying to dent the good name and image of this Noble organization INC by a misguided Team of Senator Uche Ekwunife of PDP.

An All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) support group, Anambra Central Seek Dozie Nwankwo for Senate (ACSDN), has said the party has the best candidate and better structure to win the Anambra Central Senatorial Seat Against Labour Party Senatorial Candidate for Anambra Central, Senator Victor Umeh and Senator Uche Ekwunife of The People Democratic Party in the 2023 general election.

The group vow to commence door-door and house-house campaign to ensure landslide victory for Hon Dozie Nwankwo for Senate, Anambra Central and other APGA candidates from the district.

Ndlife Studios gathered that Senator Umeh, former national chairman of (APGA) lost the APGA Senatorial ticket for Anambra Central to Dozie Nwankwo, serving member representing Anaocha/Dunukofia/Njikoka Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives during the party's primary that was conducted in Awka and angrily decamped to the Labour Party to pursue his political ambition.

According to the result that upset Umeh, Hon Nwankwo won the election with a total of 162 votes ahead of him who had 151 votes while Azuegbunam Okagbue, an aide to former governor Willie Obiano scored 10 votes in the primary.

However while addressing Journalists, shortly after the endorsement of Hon Nwankwo as the candidate to win and represent Anambra Central at the National Assembly, the National Convener of ACSDN, Prince Ikechukwu Idigwe (Mbuse Awka), vow that the group under his watch, will ensure Hon Dozie Nwankwo succeed in the February 25th 2023 Senatorial election.

He added that it is in the best interest of APGA faithful to work against all the Labour Candidates including Umeh, in favour of APGA candidates in Anambra State.

He maintained that APGA has remained committed to working in favour of all its candidates in the elections and is a party majorly own by Ndi-Anambra.

According to Idigwe, my group is working against Umeh, because he has sabortise APGA that made him who he is today in the political history of this country. I can tell you Journalists that Umeh is a minus in the race, because he is not vying for anything. He is a political manipulator who left where he was as a faithful and national chairman of the party, because Dozie Nwankwo won him in the primary and decamped to another party feeling that the Labour movement would give him that seat in a plater of goal. It's not done like that. Himself, when he was the national Chairman of APGA, he disfranchise people from the party ticket. They collected peoples money without given them tickets and that was why a lot of people left APGA to other parties. He is a decampee. I minus him because he is not in the race. The contest for Anambra Central Senatorial District is between Hon Dozie Nwankwo (APGA) and Senator Uche Ekwunife of the People's Democratic Party (PDP), he stated further.

The Convener, assure Hon Nwankwo of the group commitment to make him the next Senator of the Central Senatorial District.

On his acceptance speech, Hon Nwankwo, promised to partner Anambra Government to attract more projects to the State, if given the opportunity to serve in the Senate.

He expressed confidence of winning the election on the ground that Anambra is an APGA State and APGA is Anambra State.

The event which took place at King David Hotel Awka, on Saturday night, attracted thousands of APGA faithful including House of Representive and State House of Assembly Candidates across the Central Senatorial District.

Anambra State Governor, Chukwuma Soludo, has commended the Council for the Registration of Engineers in Nigeria (COREN), on it regulatory policies in the state.

He said the presence of COREN in Anambra State has help curbed further incidents of building collapses and quackery in the Construction Profession.

The Governor, gave the commendation, over the weekend, at the COREN first Annual Stakeholders Sensitisation Workshop, themed: “Regulatory Obligation, Compliance and Enforcement of Codes and Standards: A Panacea for sustainable economic development of Anambra State”, held at Hilton Leisure & Suites, Regina Caeli Junction Awka.

Ndlife Studios gathered that the Council and it affiliated State Regulatory Monitoring Technical Committee was inaugurated in the state by governor Soludo in the presence of the President of COREN, Engr. Ali Rabiu and the Council Registrar, Engr. Prof. Adisa Ademola Bello, on the 30th June, 2022 at the International Conference Centre Awka.

Speaking further, Soludo, said in addition to over two hundred kilometers of ongoing road projects in the state, he will increase the number to two hundred and fifty between now and December, 2022.

According to the governor, his administration is committed to building road projects that will stand the test of time.

He also expressed the determination of his administration to improve the provision of adequate infrastructure to fast-track the Smart City Project to optimise the limitless opportunity of a fully digitised economy.

Represented by his Chief of Staff, Mr. Ernest Ezeajughi, at the event, the Governor noted that Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria is critical in what his administration is doing in road and other infrastructural projects, adding that after his administration, Anambra will be a point of reference in quality infrastructural projects.

The exercise which commenced about a week ago had seen officials of the agency patch failed portions of Arroma Junction road, Ifite Awka road, Enugu-Onitsha express road, among others, where they also asphalted and tarred all the roads.

Speaking to the ABS during the exercise at Ziks Avenue, Awka, the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Agency, Mr. Ossy Onuko noted that what they are doing is in line with Governor Soludo's administration policy for the twenty three communites and the six local government's that make up the Awka Capital Territory.

The ACTDA boss revealed that they are partnering with some private companies to deliver the project which he said it has no cost to the state government.

He maintained that the companies partnering with ACTDA were energized by the Soludo's administration blueprint, which has started turning the economic fortunes of Anambra state aright, and called on other private sector organizations to join the current administration in Anambra state.

Officials of ACTDA equally repaired the dilapidated drainage system and road opposite Court of Appeals, Awka.

Some of the people who spoke to the ABS expressed delight at what the agency is doing, and commended Governor Soludo for appointing the right person who understands the needs of the people to head the Agency.

The Labour Party Candidate for Anambra Central Senatorial Zone, Sen. Victor Umeh, in his Senatorial Campaign Office at Udoka Estate, Awka, yesterday, inaugurated his Campaign Council made up of seventy five members which included the LG coordinators, Women coordinators, Youth coordinators, Special advisers etc .

To lead the campaign is, Ichie Chukwudi Okeke (Ichie Ikpoaku n'ukpo), a successful business man who was an elected LG chairman for Dunukofia and a House of Representative Aspirant for 2023 General Election.

Sen Dr Victor Umeh, thanked them for honouring his call to serve and accepting to work with him. For anyone who found his name in the Team is someone he knows his capacity and what he can offer.

He, asked the Campaign Council to also campaign for the three House of Reps Candidates of Labour Party in the Central(Prof Lilian Orogbu for Awka North and South; Hons. George Ozodinobi for Dunukofia, Anaocha and Njikoka and Uche Annie-Okonkwo for Idemili North and South Federal Constituencies) whom he will be going to Abuja with.

He, charged them to educate the electorates on the need to vote Labour Party. Because, according to him, if you only vote for Obi without voting for other LP candidates, you have brought Obi down because, the presidential and National Assembly election will be held same day and any Constituency LP wins will be marked for LP not the candidate but if other political parties win it, it will be a loss to Obi.

Speaking further, he said, there's nothing I'm going to the Senate to do for myself personally but to perform the task which I started in my seventeen months stay at the Red Chamber which I see as a big opportunity to serve. I have fought for the promotion of democracy and rule of law in Nigeria over the years as an APGA National Chairman and as an Igbo activist just as we have human right activists. And, I can tell the history of Nigeria and being someone who worked closely with Late Emeka Ojukwu.

He, reasoned that, you can't represent a people you don't know the challenges facing them except you are equipped with their challenges for the cardinal reason for being a lawmaker according to the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, is to make laws for the good governance of the country and to do oversight functions which I functioned effectively in my seventeen months at the Red Chamber and in addition, attracted sixty eight projects in Anambra Central and fifty eight were completed.

ACTDA's OPERATION ZERO POTHOLES gains momentum, as they embark on more palliative works on Awka Capital Territory Roads.

Work has just commenced at the horribly failed portion of Ziks Avenue by Nitel. We started with desilting the drainages. We observe that the persistent failure of that road is a result of blockages in the drainage system at the avenue.

Work is also going at High Court Road opposite the appeal court, where the road is on the verge of collapse due to failed drainage.

Executives of Awka ward( 3 ) three and some Amikwo indigenes paid a solidarity visit to the Managing Director of Awka Capital Territory Development Authority ( ACTDA)

Speaking, the Managing Director of ACTDA, Mr Ossy Onuko said that his office is open for contribution and expressed his zeal and dedication to duty in other to leave a foot print within the capital Territory.

In response, the spoke persons of the two groups Mr Anikpe and Chief Anene , commended the state government for appointing an indigene of Awka as a Managing Director of ACTDA which they described as a round peg in a round hole.

They expressed their confidence in him and pledged to give him all the supports he needs in other to get the state to the level of a befitting capital.

They further pleaded with him to extend his palliative works on Amikwo roads and also suggested that the rings inside the drainage at High court road be widened for easy passage of flood and also to make the road last longer.(MOI)

Vacate the Roads or Be sanctioned ___ ACTDA Boss

The Managing Director of Awka Capital Territory Development Authority (ACTDA), Mr Ossy Onuko has issued a 3 days vacation order to traders who encroach on the roads to desist from such acts or be sanctioned.

The ACTDA Boss gave this notice today especially to people who trade along Eke Awka,Ngozika Estate, Unizik temporary Site and Club road, respectively.

" this is in line with the mandate of the Authority in transforming Awka Capital Territory to a Mega City"

"this vacation order will last for 3 days, after which the Authority will commence enforcement "

According to Mr Onuko, the road trading is defacing the capital city and also contributes to road gridlocks to an extent.

The Authority engaged the service of a local announcer, Mr Isaiah Nwosu to pass the information.

The MD/CEO Awka Capital Territory Development Agency(ACTDA) Hon. Ossy Onukwo has expressed happiness with the activities Anambra State COREN Council.

He made this remark while welcoming the Council at his office in Awka. He said COREN is a strong force the Agency needs to collaborate for standardized and professionalism in engineering practices to avoid further road damages and building collapse.

He noted the need for certification of all practicing engineers in the state for documentation and accountable of any faulty or failed project in the State.

While enlisting the number of emergency projects he had engaged and successfully completed within his short time into office without assistance or funding from the State Government, He encouraged the good and well meaning Anambarians to support the government of Prof. Charles C. Soludo to actualize the vision of turning Awka into a smart mega livable and prosperous city.

The Head Of Development And Quality Control Of The Agency, Engr. Charles Ekwunife also reemphasized the need for the much need collaboration between the Agency and the COREN council. He said the synergy will go a long in helping the bodies achieve a rather profitable result in their mandates.


In his address, The Chairman of the Council represented by the Vice Chairman, Engr. Cyril Aneto informed the MD of the Agency of the forthcoming mega capacity building/sensitization workshop/seminar for all COREN Engineers on 10th November, 2022 and solicit his available as one of the keynote speaker. He also requested the nomination of three of his engineering personnel for the workshop.

Special request was also made that the Agency issues out form to individuals and firms who comes seeking for approvals for proper documentation and accountable.

Also present at the meeting, is the Head of COREN Anambra State, Engr. Jam Basil And Other Senior Members of the Council.

The Eze Uzu II made this remark when the Body visited him at his palace in Awka.

According to him, Awka People are hospitable people who works towards peaceful coexistence and development of the people and State.

He expressed his happiness with the visit while urging the Council to intensify their regulatory actions in fishing out quacks in the profession to prevent further building collapse and unprofessionalism in construction industry in the State.

He however, requested that His Excellency should give attention to the road leading to the palace in the next project Commissioning and supervision respectively

The Speaker of the palace, Ozor Nweze Okoli equally expressed happiness with the visit and said that he hopes and pray that the synergy will bring the desired peace and development to the state.

While Commending the good works of the State Governor on the ongoing road projects, he advised the Council to continue to support Prof. Charles Soludo in his vision for a smart Mega City for the State.

The President General, Women Development Union, Barr. Oge Ekweozor commended the leadership of the Council for the initiative for the visit.

She said the grassroot has a key role to play in the process of ensuring peace and rapid development of the State.

In his remark, The Chairman of the Council represented by the Vice Chairman, Engr. Cyril Aneto informed the Traditional Ruler of the forthcoming mega capacity building/sensitization workshop/seminar for all COREN Engineers on 10th November, 2022, and assured him that his request will be given proper consideration and promised to expand the working capacity of the State Engineering Council Committee to benefit from the local content development from the State Government.

As the election schedule close in us, it will be in our best interest to be decisive and vote for premier candidates that will represent and govern us well.

The Peoples' Democratic Party Candidate vying to represent Awka North and South Federal Constituency, Emeka Igwe is the aspirant who appreciates the intricacy of legislative responsibility and how to apply himself to the onerous task of representation.
