Peter Obi Versus Bola Tinubu: A Comparison of a Legacy of Political Leadership By Ebuka Onyekwelu With the 2023 Presidential Election now counting in days, it might be necessary to observe that whoever wins, will win for political reasons. Those who will lose, will also lose for political reasons. No matter how admirable social change may be, whatever direction it goes within political context is determined by political considerations. Apparently, these considerations are the things that are going to be shaping the outcome of the 2023 Presidential Election. Giving clear presumptions based on Nigeria’s identity realities that it would be unthinkable to have PDP’s candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, takeover from President Buhari, the contest can be safely narrowed down to Peter Obi of Labour Party – LP, and Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress- APC. At least, more or less, Tinubu and Obi represent equity in power acquisition and sharing. Now, the argument really is if Peter Obi has more going for him than Bola Tinubu ahead of the polls. Of particular interest is that both were once governors in their respective states. Then again, both governed states that are on a distinctive regional pedestal. Lagos is distinguished in Southwest and Nigeria as a whole. Anambra is distinguished in Southeast and Nigeria, as a whole, although clearly not as much as Lagos. But beyond all these, both men also have several acclaimed achievements credited to them during that time as Governor. However, by the nature of politics, political power is contracted on the altar of politics, and not on the altar of activism. So what legacy of political leadership has both men left? John Maxwell, a leadership expert once said that “a leader’s lasting value is measured by succession”. Truth is, nothing cuts visionary leadership short more than a hazy succession plan. Every political system has within itself the exact materials needed to move it to its next desirable place. This is so critical that whoever wins the 2023 Presidential Election, will at the end of the day, still work with those that have passed through the system. They will not manufacture new human beings. This has been demonstrated by people like Doyin Okupe, Benchuks Nwosu and others in Peter Obi’s campaign with relevant political experience, having gone through the system. So, for Peter Obi, as a two term governor of Anambra State, what political legacy did he leave behind? Obi became governor at forty five years old. But for reasons that are hard to explain, all his key appointees were older men and women, who, by nature’s design, would retire from public life before him. And true, nearly all key appointees of Peter Obi as governor, have retired or are about to retire. Someone like Oseloka Obaze who served as SSG in Obi’s government despite being from Anambra North, Obi’s preferred zone of possible successor, could not succeed him. Instead, Obi somehow brought Obiano, a 59 years old retiree who was his senior in secondary school, to succeed him. Yet, today, Obi and Obiano are sworn political enemies. Basically, even Obiano that ought to be Obi’s political legacy, Obi cannot count on his support. The irony is that people like Okupe, Utomi and Nwosu whom the Obi campaign is tapping from their reservoir, are still relevant because they gained their entry into the political sphere in their 30s and early 40s. It is therefore not rocket science seeing why no former Obi’s commissioner or appointee is following him around, except Obaze and Valentine Obienyem, his media aide. Most of those appointees are now indisposed as a result of old age, or aging, among other reasons. This is also why one can hardly see any Obi’s former aide or appointee making any contribution to nation-building. Out of all Peter Obi’s appointees, not one of them later became anything else worthy of reckoning in public management. Till date, the only person that served under Peter Obi who later aspired to political office was Oseloka Obaze; a decent and urbane man. But had no further opportunity to serve despite having the confidence of Peter Obi who was the governor and could have placed him, but did not. As I write this, I am hoping that I will be challenged by a more accurate fact. But unfortunately, there is none. With this, Peter Obi is going into the 2023 Presidential Election counting on activism and not on his political legacy. Tinubu on the other hand was governor between 1999 and 2007. From 2007 till date, no 1999 league of governors in Nigeria is still relevant in national discourse, aside those successfully resting in the senate. Tinubu’s case, by far, is not an accident. Bola Tinubu’s relevance in national politics can be traced to his political legacy in Lagos state when he was governor. What Tinubu did was to use Lagos to launch an iconic template, with younger and ambitious aides, most of whom have risen to national prominence from their stint in Lagos state. The Director General of Budget Office of the Federation, Mr. Ben Akabueze, was Commissioner for Economic Planning to Tinubu. He is from Dunukofia LGA in Anambra state. The Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo was Commissioner for Justice in Tinubu’s government. Others like Rauf Aregbesola, Fashola, have served as governors for eight years and now serve as members of the Federal Executive Council. This list is long and likely inexhaustible. Interestingly, all these people were drawn from different parts and states of Nigeria. Fifteen years on, they are now calling the shots in their rights. The system will always find use for those it has produced, given the right political covering and mentorship. Essentially, Tinubu is going into the 2023 Presidential Election with enormous political capital he painstakingly built from scratch. Politics is not activism. A politically empowered participant is many times better than hundreds of activists, in shaping and determining political outcome. In perspective, definite advantage accrues in political contests, to contenders with large political capital and reach. Whether we like it or not, the next generation of political leaders in Nigeria are now undergoing some kind of tutelage within. Eventually, they will be launched into bigger responsibilities, which is largely dependent on their political covering. For instance, Prof. Osinbajo might not have ever become the Vice President if not for Bola Tinubu’s covering. Tomorrow’s Nigerian political system will use those that have been plugged-in today, just like it is now using those plugged-in before. How relevant and useful the future looks to a political player depends upon his political legacy. In other words, the manpower he has given the system, which naturally returns back in form of support. This is what Tinubu stands to gain in 2023. #Ndlifestudios

*SOLUDO TO INCREASE SALARY BY 10% FOR ANAMBRA WORKERS, GIVES 15,000 CHRISTMAS BONUS* Anambra State Governor, Prof. Chukwuma Charles Soludo, CFR has increased salaries of the state civil servants by ten percent (10%). Governor Soludo who made the declaration at the celebration of the 2022 Public Service Day at the Anambra Secretariat Complex Awka, also promised to give them N15,000 as Christmas bonus. The theme for the event was; "Performance Management System: Impact on the Nigerian Public Service. The Governor expressed empathy for income earners, especially in the light of the dwindling economic situation in the Country. Lamenting the current economic hardship in the country, Governor Soludo said: "Given my own background as a worker, what we are not able to do for the working class, you must understand it is literally impossible," he reiterated. "On the issue of Christmas rice, we reviewed how it's done in the past and discovered that it is no longer tenable. "I understand in previous years that past governments gave 25kg bag of rice to civil servants for Christmas. "The state of Nigeria is bad. Everybody is complaining. Prices are rising very fast, I look at you and wonder how you cope. "Today, 50kg bag of rice costs over forty thousand naira (₦40,000). That's beyond the salary of a graduate in the public service. Something is not right! "What we will do instead, between today and tomorrow, we will first of all make sure that our pensioners are taken care of, to demonstrate good faith. I wish we could do much more but today, you will receive an alert of fifteen thousand naira (₦15,000) as Christmas bonus", Governor Soludo assured. "The income is not increasing, government revenue is not increasing. We cannot print money. "I understand what you feel and wish that our revenue will go up so we can multiply what comes to you in proportion to Nigeria's inflation. "The Head of Service made a request for releasing funds to process promotion. "We have made the budget for next year and it has been signed. Any new thing not in the budget can't be done. "I received a report a few days ago recommending minor adjustments in salaries. We will review it and see if it is feasible", Soludo stated. "From February to date, NNPC has not remitted a dime to the federation account and our state of finances means we can't do everything at the same time but, we have to prioritize and that's why we are collecting taxes. "Next year, Lagos is expecting to collect 100 billion naira a month from IGR while Anambra is still aiming at 3 billion naira. But I assure ndi Anambra that any money that comes into our hands, we will utilize them judiciously", Governor Soludo promised. "Last year public service day, I was here to plead for your votes. Today, I have appeared to you as the Governor of this state. You employed me as your Chief servant and I am your employee. "I thank you for your services to Anambra. I am the Chief Public Servant and without you, there will be no public service. "The Civil servants contribute to what is making Anambra to be what is it today. I commend all the ministries and the staff of Anambra State Public Service. "I congratulate the 33 selected awardees specially recognized but it doesn't mean others aren't working hard. "I also commend the commissioners, Managing Directors and Heads of Parastatals. "We promised to create a liveable and prosperous homeland. This is our mission and you all shall deliver it. We delivered this message through the head of service. "We are not supposed to be celebrating public service at this time of the year but I insisted, to thank you all for the year 2022 before we cross over into 2023", Governor Soludo said. "Our five fingers of Government includes; Security, law and order; Economic transformation, social agenda, reforming ways government works and the environment. "Eight local governments were taken over by criminals when we came into power and we have taken over our land from criminals. We have driven them away from our bushes and forests. "Someone in Finland declared 5 days sit at home but in Anambra, the sit at home was not observed", Soludo stressed. "We will get back to work full scale, working 5 days in a week. When we work four days and our children go to school only four days, we won't deliver the same thing as those who work for five days. "We must take back our state otherwise, we are losing 20% each week. Security, law and order must come back fully into Anambra. Kidnappers and criminals must give way in our state. "100% of those we have caught are Igbos but it must come to an end", Governor Soludo further assured. "We are launching regenerative agriculture, trying to get major industrial parks to work. We are signing MOU with EEDC to ensure that there is 24 hours provision of power, especially in the three major cities of the state. "Streetlights are coming back. It's not possible to keep powering them with diesel now that a litre is over eight hundred naira (N800). We are replacing them with solar because it is more sustainable and strategic. "On the road, we declared a state of emergency because Anambra has a road crisis. We have awarded over 250 km of roads. "Within the next 24 months we must deliver and it will be unprecedented in the state. We have just been in the office for 9 months but things are happening. "On our social agenda, we are ending the era of hospitals without doctors, nurses and consultants. We have recruited over 200 personnel in our general Hospitals. "We handed appointment letters to five thousand (5000) teachers within 9 months of our regime. The process was one hundred percent (100%) merit based, transparent and we are looking for the best no matter where they come from. Our interest is that the child should be taught by the best teacher available and this is what we have set out to do. "Teaching is a vocation and calling, it is not just a job! What we have done is unique in Anambra Teaching Service", said Governor Soludo. "We celebrate our public servants most especially our teachers because everyone was taught by a teacher. "Five thousand (5000) youths are currently undergoing various training- one youth two skills programme and by next year, we will be dishing out several billions to empower them. "In security, we have recruited vigilantes and empowered other security apparatus to keep Anambra safe", Soludo said. "We have a slogan, "cut all cutables and boycott all bycottables." That is the way we are managing resources and that's how we are paying the bills. "When we came in, pensioners hadn't received their gratuities since 2018 but we felt that it's not the way to go. To watch the retirees work for over 30 years without gratuities, we felt it was painful. "Under my watch, everyone that retired in the Anambra public service has been paid their gratuities. For those who retired since 2018, we are doing the payments gradually to restore hope to them. In her opening speech, the Head of Service, Barrister Theodora Igwegbe, thanked God for keeping everyone alive to witness the first public service day under the new administration. "We recognize, reward hardwork and excellence of colleagues who have distinguished themselves in the discharge of their duties. "We rededicate our service to discipline and service delivery to our people," she stated. "It is an annual event slated for 23rd of June every year but every state is entitled to fix their own date. "Public service is bound on public trust", she said. "The Federal Government of Nigeria developed a framework to institutionalize public service. In the development of civil service, I came up with a development plan and a blue print designed and approved by the Anambra ANSEC on 8th of August 2022. "They are aligned to the vision of Governor soludo's administration. The systematic core areas are underlisted as follows: Capacity building, performance management, service delivery, anti-corruption, value proposition and digitization", she pointed out. "On Staff welfare, enumeration and reward, states should review staff salaries, promotions and reward system. It will make the service attractive to pools of talents and make workers motivated to give their best at all times. "A proposal of the full minimum wage have been submitted and we await due approval. "Mr Governor has graciously paid leave allowance for 2022 and December salaries", she noted. "Declining efficiency, productivity, low morale of workers are some of the challenges of civil servants. "Our appeal to Mr Governor is for the full implementation and consideration of the national minimum wage in the state, upward review of salaries to mitigate economic challenges of the country, appeal for approval of funds for civil service commission to conduct 2023 promotion interviews, appeal for provision for official cars for permanent secretaries and directors as done in the past, provision of work tools, computers and procurement of buses to ease transportation challenges of civil servants. "We also plead for appointment of permanent secretaries as present ones are in charge of two ministries which is presently affecting productivity, Billboards for Jerome Udoji Secretariat Complex Awka, desilting of drainages in the complex, office furniture procurement for use in the offices, repainting of buildings and fence of the Secretariat Complex. "We promise and pledge our full dedication and commitment to you and your Government. We vow to work assiduously, to ensure that your vision for the state is judiciously implemented," she assured. Presentation of certificate of recognition to thirty-three (33) officers, drawn from various ministries for their exemplary services and dedication was highpoint of the event. By Christian ABURIME The Anambra State Law Review Committee has concluded its review. The Committee which was set up by the immediate past administration paid a courtesy call on Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo at the Governor's Lodge, Amawbia, to officially submit it's report. The Committee was led by the former State Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Dr. Uju Nworgu. Recieving the Committee, Governor Soludo commended their efforts on the onerous task which they successfully discharged, emphasizing on the significance of digitizing Anambra State Laws. "Part of what we would like to achieve is in line with our vision of making Anambra the digital tribe of Nigeria. "We will liaise with our learned justices, the Chief Judge as well as the State House of Assembly to ensure that these requirements of hardcopy and so on and so forth will be a basic investment. "By the time ndi Anambra gets acclimatized with the digital culture we are striving to imbibe, they would never want to go back to analogue", Governor Soludo noted. On her part, Dr Uju Nwogu pointed out that the 1979 constitution refers to removing some of the laws which she described as edits but the committee decided to convert them into laws and a host of other things they did in the laws. "It was quite a tedious job because the laws are so many but we did all of that and at the end of the day, we have completed and concluded the revision. "In the process of revision in accordance with the Revision Law 2019, we have two stages. The first stage is preparing the law, the second stage is to publish and print the law. This is the provision of the law. "The circumstances of this assignment are exactly the same as the case of Lagos State in 2015 where an assignment like ours was completed by the Lagos State Law Reform Commission in the administration of Governor Ambode," she disclosed. The State Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Prof. Sylvia Ifemeje said that the Anambra State Law Revision Committee is made up of the Former Chief Judge, Hon. Justice Ijem Onwuamaegbu, the Former Attorney General, Dr. Uju Nwogu, the former Solicitor General of Anambra State, Mrs Tina Emekekwu and Hon. Justice Aniukwu (Nnewi Judicial Division). "They finally completed the assignment and have come to report to us, myself and the Governor inclusive that they have completed their task. "We thank them immensely and ask them to bring the soft copy for us so that we can forward the same to the State House of Assembly for them to pass it into law,' she said. From Chuks Collins, Awka Dec 1,2022 It's widely acknowledged that Anambra state has produced amongst the best representatives at the national and international arena over the years; both in sports, administration, commerce and politics. What with names like Owelle Dr Nnamdi Azikiwe, Dr Abyssinia Akweke Nwafor Orizu, Dr Chuba Okadigbo, and Sir Louis Odumegwu Ojukwu. There was also Prof Dora Akunyili, and Chief Augustine Ekene Dili Chukwu Ilodibe. We cannot forget the great Power Mike Okpala. There is also Obi Mikel, Aloysius Atuegbu; an in commerce we have Dr Innocent Chukwuma, Chief Eugene Ojukwu, Chief Louis Carter Onwugbenu. And then, Senator Chris Ngige, Chief Ben Obi, Prof Obiora Okonkwo, and Chief Dozie Nwankwo. All of the above have continued to fly the flag of Anambra state loftily high in diverse positive ways and sectors globally. Focussing on Dozie Nwankwo, a young, debonair successful businessman whose years of kind hearted disposition towards members of the public so elicited his people that they persuaded him to go represent them in the National Assembly. This positive move has continued to yield more and more blessings to the people of the constituency. First elected into the 8th National Assembly and later reelected into the incumbent 9th Assembly, Nwankwo was never born with a spoon in his mouth. But rose from the crucible and broke into the ranks through sheer hard work and determined action to succeed. In all these, he imbibed the culture of kindness, love and giving. That's why he established multiple empowerment and poverty alleviation tools and channels with which he touches the lives of people always. Little wonder he's popularly called "Onyendozi", literally interpreted 'the great builder'. He had gone into the National Assembly with the determination to leverage on the opportunity to impact and expand his good works on the society with purposeful leadership and quality representation. Ever since his appearance at the hallowed chambers of the National Assembly, Nwankwo has remained a regular face and voice at the plenary, committee activities and at the numerous life enhancing constituency outreach programmes in favour of the nation, Anambra State and the Njikoka/Dunukofia/Anaocha constituents. History has recorded Nwankwo as belonging to the very few lawmakers that think outside the box. And having his eyes focussed on the much needed welfare of his constituents, he has been pursuing one life transforming project/policy after another for them. From the seat of power in Abuja, down to his Enugwu-ukwu community and the entire Njikoka, Dunukofia and Anaocha Federal Constituency; and the entire Anambra State, this well-schooled lawmaker thinks, dreams, sleeps and wakes up for the people. That was reason Nwankwo was christened "the emerging contemporary Nnamdi Azikiwe", by colleagues at the Green Chambers. They had claimed that whatever he sets his mind on, he achieves. And that wherever others failed, he had always succeeded. Little wonder the sobriquet, "the Crown Prince". Incidentally those who appeared to have been taken unawares by his Midas touch simply fall into line after the last All Progressives Grand Alliance(APGA) party primaries for nomination of the party's Anambra Central senatorial flag bearer. Dozie Nwankwo smoothly floored the immediate past national chairman of the party, Chief Victor Umeh and other heavyweights. As a very young man, Nwankwo's main backbone remains the youth and the womenfolk. A random sample of their views about him was cheering and heart warming. Womenfolk described him as a big blessing to the state, and a dream son to every mother. They further described him as having a 'heart of gold'. While the youths saw him as "one of our own". That it was for people of his ilk that the Not-too-young-to-Run bill was actually formulated. According a youth leader in the area, Emeka Anaenugwu, "Onyendozi is a committed, dedicated and ready-to-serve servant leader. As a cursory look at his policies, projects, motions, bills and empowerment programs show that he's always thinking about the youths, women and families. What with his multi-million naira annual medical outreach, which records show has benefitted above one million beneficiaries since its debut about fifteen years ago. The free healthcare program kicked off nearly two decades ago with only his Enugwu-ukwu community in Njikoka Council area and environs as beneficiaries. But its popularity and enthusiastic acceptance by the citizens bolstered the benefactor's heart and he continued to expand it to more communities. The free medical outreach has covered all the communities within the 3-Councils Federal Constituency, and then expanded to the 7-Councils that make up the Central Senatorial district of the state. Addressing a mammoth crowd of enthusiastic supporters, party faithful and officials at Abatete, Idemili North Council at a reception anchored by a stalwart of APGA in the area and a former House of Representatives aspirant for Idemili North/South Federal Constituency, Chief Ifeanyi Metuh, Nwankwo who was very happy with the excitement shown by the crowd that received him, commended the people for their visible show of love towards him. He acknowledged the ability of other opponents contesting alongside himself for the Anambra Central Senatorial seat in the fast approaching February 25,2023 poll but was quick to admit that all the other have clearly done their bit before now. Hence were now tired, and lethargic, as the assignment has somehow clearly become monotonous and drab to them. He admitted that such was naturally expected, particularly where they had seen the position as "business", and not call to service. It's also usually counterproductive to overstay in the arena. To him, they are tired hands and feet. " Am here with breathe of fresh air to reinvigorate the people's service. I had done so much to humanity, even as a private citizen. "My aspiration is for a larger platform to do more -more scholarship to poor and indigent students, poverty alleviation for the poor/less privileged, more tricycles, motor cycles, commuter buses, cars, youth/women empowerment, and micro credit for small/medium businesses. Others included regular free medical treatment for all. The latest 2022 edition covered no fewer than three hundred thousand (300'000) beneficiaries in more than sixty communities within Njikoka, Dunukofia, Anaocha, Idemili North, Idemili South, Awka North, and Awka South council areas. The programme covered multiple areas of health including eye(opthalmic treatment and surgeries), laboratory services and general health services. It's now so assuredly regularly anticipated annually that people from neighbouring states, council areas, including those outside the state now plan their annual holidays to fall within the period just to ensure their family members resident in the cities benefited. These, Nwankwo pointed out that he has been doing for the citizens for more than two decades without any funfair or media razzmatazz, just out of love/concern for the less privileged, and as a way of giving back to the society in appreciation of God Almighty's blessings. And as the citizens continue to appreciate these programs, Onyendozi has promised to continue sponsoring alongside other such gestures to put smiles on the faces of the residents of the state and environs. On his achievements in National Assembly in the area of the Bills and Motions he had sponsored over the years showed his people-oriented mindset. For example, he sponsored amongst others, a Bill for an Act to establish the Public Service Institute of Nigeria and for other related Matters, 2020. Another amongst others was a Bill for an Act to Establish the Federal College of Agriculture (Technical) Enugwu-Ukwu, Anambra State, to provide full time courses, Teaching Instruction and Training in Agricultural Technology, Agriculture and carry out its due Administration and Management for Related Matters, 2021. Just like the Bills he sponsored so far, among the numerous Motions Nwankwo had moved on the floor of the National Assembly these years, was the one calling for the enforcement of Regular Mechanical checks on commercial vehicles to minimize the spate of road crashes involving commercial vehicles and of others across the country. He also moved a Motion for the need to investigate the alleged use of Paracetamol (PCM) and Bleach to tenderize meat and Process cassava in Osun State in particular, and nationwide. And apparently irked by the frequent industrial disputes/actions plaguing the nation's public universities, the concerned lawmaker sponsored a Motion calling on the need for the Federal Government to urgently address the frequent reoccurrence of strike actions in the nation's public universities by the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU). His litany of life-enhancing projects that benefited all communities within his Federal constituency in multiples, including provision of solar-powered street lights, solar-powered boreholes, roads construction/erosion control projects, and intervention in schools, especially secondary schools within the Federal Constituency. There was also his world class signature project, a two-storey 250-computer set ICT training centre at Enugwu-Ukwu; -for Training and Consultancy. And baring any last minute changes, this master piece of a training centre would kick start operations in few days from now. It is secured, adequately fenced, protected and well fitted with state-of-the-art facilities to make teaching and learning a delight for all participants. Records show that the great enthusiasm elicited by the project, as the first of its kind anywhere in Nigeria, seats have been over-booked for the next three years. Yet more interested participants are still surging in! Dozie Nwankwo is certainly in a class of his own, standing out as a lawmaker who came prepared about what he want to do for the constituents. Because besides about thirty-five major projects scattered all over the 3-Council Federal Constituency so far, he has provided many motorized boreholes, classroom blocks, Primary Health Centres, NYSC Corpers Lodge, among many others in all communities in the Federal Constituency. In the area of empowerment/assistance to alleviate hardship being faced by the citizens due to the general downturn of the nation's economy and weaker currency, Nwankwo had quickly organized training and financial support for 110 youths on diverse skills. He also introduced Education support/scholarship scheme. He secured Agricultural incentives for above 100 hundred persons through the Nigeria Incentive Base Risk Sharing System for Agricultural Lending(NISRAL. He attracted the National Social Investment Program of the Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development to his constituency for the GEEP loans through *Trader Moni, *Market Moni and *Farmer Moni. He however brought in the Strategic Empowerment Programme for the benefit of Youths of the constituency. There was also the Widow support Programme for more than five thousand (5,000) widows from the area. He has at moments of need, especially during festivities of Christmas, New year and Easter provided them and other people incentives. These and many other incentives that he ensured went round the entire families and communities withing the three councils 9f the Federal constituency made him very popular and a delight to all mothers, fathers and youths of the state. The suave lawmaker has for the interest of his constituents availed himself to the State government, Traditional institution and Town union leaderships for promotion of peace in the area and effective governance. He has done so much in assisting his constituents enlisted in the Army, NYSC and other employment. It was trough his intervention that the creation of a new campus of the Federal College of Agriculture Ishiagu, was granted and sited at Enugwu-Ukwu. The school has been billed to take off next academic session. No citizen of the Federal constituency would forget Nwankwo's timely intervention during the global pandemic of Covid-19 and other emergencies when he quickly rose to the occasion with a lot of palliatives. Chief Dozie Nwankwo has truly been a big blessing to the Njikoka/Dunukofia/Anaocha Federal Constituency and Anambra State in general because he intervenes even outside his immediate constituency. On February 25, 2023 Nwankwo would be slugging it out three tested heavyweights including Sen Uche Ekwunife of the Peoples Democratic Party who is seeking a passport for her third term in the senate. Many were of the view that she new to rest for another person of Nwankwo's class step in with new sharper ideas. Sen Victor Umeh who is flying the flag of the Labour Party is a known name with APGA, not LP. His presence in LP, even with its presidential candidate's (Peter Obi)sweeping popularity would not help him. Ducking behind Obi who he had a long time axe to grind for dumping APGA will rather a minus for him. Nwankwo is balling whichever ways one looks at the contest, because "nkea bu nkeanyi" Also on the card is also Chief Okwy Okelekwe of the All Progressives Congress(APC) whose body language resembles one with other motives other than contesting to win. He started late, surrounded himself with mainly people from Awka South, Obizi political enclave in particular, out of the seven council areas of the Central senatorial district. It's clear that Nwankwo will sweep the stakes on Feb 25,2023 as he did at the APGA primaries. He's young, able and capable and all those trying to pelt him with mud are merely chasing the wind! Yes, because he's a man of all seasons, it's not surprising to see opponents try to throw stones at him. But who would curse who God has blessed. #Ndlifeatudios
