My role in the Movement is that of a Focal Point. As I've always stressed, Nigeria remains a secular state. As such, the movement is not about my tribe or my religion, and it is not an Igbo agenda or in any way, to Christianize Nigeria.

My aspiration is for a new Nigeria, where the children of a nobody will become somebody. A nation anchored on national interests, and not sectional interests; where the entire youths from the six geopolitical zones will have a sense of belonging in the affairs of their country.

No one should ascribe ethnic or religious colouration to the OBIdient Movement. Nigeria is one and my ambition is to become the President of a United and Indivisible Nigeria.

The Archbishop ecclesiastical province of the Niger, The Anglican Bishop of Awka Diocese, Most Reverend Alexander Ibezim has charged to remain resilient and dogged in their christian practice and faith as the 2023 Awka Anglican Diocesan Laity Council Annual Retreat ends today.

He said that Anambra needs young intelligent people with character and clear-cut vision like Professor Chukwuma Soludo and his Deputy, Dr.Onyekachukwu Ibezim. He emphasized the promotion of core values and sustainable development of the state.

While speaking at the end of the 2023 Annual Retreat Conference of Awka Diocesan Council of Laity held at St. John's Church Okpuno, which coincided with Governor Chukwuma Soludo's town hall meeting to mark his one year in office, Archbishop Ibezim, reminded Ndi Anambra that the Soludo administration needs prayers to achieve results as Anambra helmsman, and called for political unity in the Southeast in order to achieve common goal.

Observing that Nigeria is at crossroads, the Anglican prelate equally explained that man can only through prayer and righteousness move heaven to hasten the plan of God.

He reminded Christians that God had made provision for the immancipation , adding that when a man's hope is in Christ, eternity is assured.

The Chaplain, Awka Diocesan Council of Laity, Venerable Samuel Okonkwo earlier in the church service among other things, reminded Christians that faith, humility and perseverance beget exaltation as seen in the life of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the Samaritan woman and blind Bartimeus in the scripture, urging them to remain steadfast in the heavenly race.

For the Vicar of St. John's Church Okpuno, Reverend Canon Dr. Onyeka Egwuonwu the event offered clerics opportunity to use the word of God to strengthen the faith of believers and thanked all who contributed to the success of the event.

In their separate remarks, the President, Awka Diocesan Council of Laity, Sir Emma Ezenwaji, and the Chairman of Local Organising Committee of the event, Dr. Chijioke Uneze, commended the growth of the church in the diocese, and called on participants to take home the charges given to them at the event and engage the christian virtue of endurance and hope.

Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo has reiterated his commitment to fulfilling his promises to Ndi Anambra As He Marks One Year In Office.

He made this disclosure today at a town hall meeting where he presented the account of his stewardship to the people of the State at the international convention center in Awka.

While appreciating Ndi Anambra for their support and prayers so far, the Governor emphasized the need for public community partnership to ensure adequate security, infrastructural and economic development of the state.

In line with the administration five cardinal objectives, Governor Soludo promised to do more to expand on agriculture, education, youth empowerment, health, transportation, entertainment among others.

According to him, every sector of the state will be affected positively as we continue this journey of building a peaceful, prosperous and livable homeland.

He called on Ndi Anambra to be law abiding even as they continue to support the government transformation agenda through regular payment of taxes.
The Chairman of the program and also Chairman, Council of Elders, Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide, Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu while expressing his gratitude for the honour to chair the occasion commended the dexterity and sagacity of the governor on working to build a 21st century smart mega city of livable and prosperous Anambra State.

Today calls for thanksgiving and appreciation to God for the blessing of Prof Chukwuma Charles Soludo to Ndi Anambra, he said.

In His Remark, Former President Olusegun Obasanjo defined Prof Chukwuma Soludo as a man of integrity. He described Soludo's exceptional performance at the central bank as a great yardstick to trade upon his credibility and competence to deliver on his agenda to the people of his state.

Given the physical evidence of your milestone achievements on infrastructural and economy transformation in the state, it is pertinent that you will achieve more in the next three years.

He went further to advise the Ace governor to invest more on agriculture and human capital development to make Anambra a leading hub in oil palm and drug production and other key manufacturing sector of the country.

Stakeholders have commended the Governor of Anambra State, Professor Chukwuma Soludo on his move to regenerate the city of Awka to accelerate the economic growth and development of the State through job and wealth creation by providing good roads.

The stakeholders spoke during the demolition of illegal structures obstructing road construction at the popular Unizik/Okpuno road by the Awka Capital Territory Development Authority.

Speaking during the exercise, The Community Liaison Officer to Nigercat Construction Company, Prince Ekene Obidinma commended the governor for always standing out in the aspect of road construction and infrastructural development of the State.

He said that his community is very happy with the new development because it shows that the governor is working and it also offers his community the opportunity to enjoy the capital. For this, we are solidly behind the good policies of the present administration, he said.

He emphasized the need to decongest the road to create room for more expansion as okpuno, urum and mbakwu community continue to expand in both human and commercial activities.

According to him, this will help tackle the challenge of incessant traffic gridlock experienced along the axis.

He advised Ndi Anambra to continue to support Prof Soludo led administration with prayers and goodwill.

In his remarks, The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Awka Capital Territory Development Authority, Mr Ossy Onuko, stated that the road when completed will not ease the peace and safety of people and motorist but also contribute to the beautification of the state.

There is a saying that "cleaniness is next to godliness!"

In line with the Mantra of Prof Chukwuma Soludo administration on building a peaceful, livable and prosperous homeland, the state government have embarked on operation clean, green and healthy environment through the office of the Awka Capital Territory Development Authority by cleaning the drainage system in the state capital.

The exercise which was flagged off by the deputy governor of the State, Dr. Onyeka Ibezim at the Eke-Awka axis in Awka attracted hundreds of well meaning Ndi Anambra who came out em masses to welcome him.

Performing the grand opening, Dr. Onyekachi Ibezim excavated some refuse obstructing the easy flow of water ways in the drainage system to form the highlight of the day.

This is done to avoid flooding that may cause damages to the roads during the rainy season.

Traders and residents were also cautioned to desist from incessant dumping of refuse in the drainages to reduce the impact that comes with the challenge.

The managing director of the Awka Capital Territory Development Agency, Mr. Ossy Onuko and other top State government officials were also present at the event.

The Awka Capital Territory Development Agency has commenced the removing of illegal structures erected along the path carved out for the expansion of the Unizik/Okpuno Road.

The agency said that the illegal structures are delaying the commencement of work by the construction company handling the project.

Reacting to the development, one of the residents of the area, Mr. Olisachukwukwelu Ezeigwu stated that the demolition is for the best interest of the people.

Mr. Ezeigwu blamed the residents of the area for failing to heed to the various notices served on them by ACTDA before the demolition.

The chief of staff to Governor Chukwuma Soludo, Mr. Ernest Ezeajuighi who also monitored the exercise, said that one of the cardinal objectives of the Soludo administration is to build a peaceful, livable and prosperous homeland to aid rapid growth and development of the State.

Mr. Ezeajughi appreciated the efforts of ACTDA Managing Director, Mr. Ossy Onuko in ensuring the smooth construction of the road, and maintained that the demolition was necessary for the contractors to enable them construct a dual carriage road to open up the city and this will make Awka one of the best cities in the Nigeria.

The Chief of Staff expressed optimism that at the completion of the project, residents of the area and the good people of Anambra will appreciate the state government.

Also speaking, the ACTDA Managing Director, Mr. Onuko reaffirmed the commitment of the agency in making the capital territory one of the best.

A Wake-up Call To Ndi Anambra.

State election of various categories have come and passed and some clowns are still playing as they love doing making noice here and there calling for more bitterness and creating strife between the good people of our dear state.

It's high time the true and well meaning Anambarians will calm down and forget noice and distractions and support Prof. Charles Chukwuma Soludo to succeed in office.

Of course some funny statement have been made, some persons have been abused, bullied and even betrayed and blackmailed!

But the truth remains Anambra must move forward.

One very important fact to note is that before the emergence of Soludo as the democratically elected governor of the state, the process was free and fair and Ndi Anambra trooped out happily em masses to vote for him.

I therefore call on every sides, whether marginalized, offended or hurt on the course of this election and before to shield their sword, forgive and join hands with the government to build a happy, prosperous livable homeland, called Anambra State - Light of the Nation. It's very possible!

Let's give Me. Charly Nwagbafor a chance to prove his heart before deciding whether to crucify or continually uphold the government.

Look introspectively within thyself and be very sure that right now you and your relation can do instantly outstandingly better than what you're attacking.

If no wait for the next governorship election.

But for now, Prof. Charles Chukwuma Soludo is the governor of Anambra State and God is aware of everything.

The Anambra State All Support Group For Peter Obi has expressed great shock at the sudden demise of one of their coordinators Mr. Ifeanyi Ezeimo.

Ifeanyichukwu Ezimo who is only 33 is popularly known as honourable is a native Of Adazi Enu in Anaocha LGA of Anambra State passed on on the 17th March 2023. May His Gentle Soul Rest In Peace Amen.

Ndlifestudios gathered that the cause to his death could not be ascertained as the news to his death came surprisedly to even members of his family.

Speaking at the burial ceremony on behalf of the obedient family, the state chairman of all support group, Hon. Obiora Anueyiagu expressed bitterness to the way "honourable" left this world at a very young age without notice. He said Mr. Ifeanyi's death is a great loss not only to the Ezeimo's family but to the Anambra State obidient family as well.

He described the late Mr. Ezeimo as a hero with great patriotic spirit who has stood his ground during his short time on earth to work for the course for a new Nigeria in his best capacity.

While sympathizing with the family, he encourage them to be strong and remain hopeful that the course for which ifeanyi died will yield positive result for the country and prayed for the repose of his soul.

Appreciating on behalf of Mr. Dennis Ezeimo's family, Late Mr. Ifeanyichukwu's uncle thanked the obedient family for coming to show such unprecedented love to their late son and he prayed and ask God to bless and grant the obedient family heart desires of reclaiming their mandates and victory.

while wishing them success in their future engagements. He also prayed for journey mercy to their individual destination.

The good people of Awka South I Constituency in Anambra State has declared unwavering support for the labour party candidate for the state house of assembly election.

The disclosure was made known when hundreds of Awka South residents support groups turned out in their numbers to rally round Awka for sensitization and campaign for the candidate for Awka South I Constituency.

The rally which started from Aroma to Ifite-Awka, went round Amawbia to Ogbalimgba to the popular Eke-Awka market then back to the party office in Awka.

Speaking at the rally, the member representing Awka North And South in the Federal House of Representatives, Prof. Lilian Orogbu made it clear that the outcome of the Saturday march 18 election for the Anambra State House of Assembly will stabilize a sustainable, efficient, responsive and productive government.

While calling on the entire Awka South residents to shower the same love and support given to her to the labour party state house of assembly candidate, she added that labour party has produced the best candidate to represent every constituency in the state in the most responsible and accountable manner.

In his separate remark, the deputy inspector general of police rtd, Chief Celestine Okoye expressed optimism that the results for the Saturday election will yield landslide victory for all the candidates running for the state house of assembly under labour party. He advised the obedient people of Awka and Anambra to be patient and hopeful for the peace but quick recovery of people's mandate.

Valentine Ozoigbo Charges Labour Party Candidates For Anambra State House Of Assembly To Brace Up For The Challenge In The Forth Coming Election.

One of the leader of labour party in Anambra State, Valentine Ozoigbo has called on all the party candidate for the state house of assembly to rise up to the challenge before them.

He made the call today in Awka when he had a two hours interactive session with the party state executives, candidates and other chieftains. He said the success of the march 11 election lies on the ability of the candidate and electorates to take advantage of the wrong judgement meted to Peter Obi to change the course of history in the State.

While appreciating Nigerians for coming out in mass to exercise their franchise to vote for Mr. Obi. He reaffirmed that Peter won the election and assured that the victory will be reclaimed. He advised them to exercise patience with the process but remain hopeful for the reclaim of their mandate assuring them that their vote will surely count.

He however ceased the opportunity to urge Nigerians to use march 11 to prove a point and tell the whole world that Peter Obi actually won by making sure that labour party wins in every constituency in every State. He also asked Ndi Anambra to put up same resilience and energy used for the presidential election for the State House of Assembly election.

In his separate remark, the labour party candidate for the state house of assembly for Anambra West, Dr. Festus Omaremi thanked Anambarians and his good people of Anambra West for coming out to vote for Mr. Obi. He expressed optimism that the victory of Mr. Obi will be reclaimed given time and prayer.

He finally asked Ndi Anambra to come out em mass to vote for the best candidate with competence and character according to him could be found in labour party and expressed confidence that Ndi Anambra will decisively vote labour party all through in the state house of assembly election.

Legal assault on Peter Obi, Labour Party laments it hurts!

The legal assault on Peter Obi, the Labour Party (LP) and Chief Victor Umeh at the instance of our own Senator Uche Ekwunife using the interrogation of Umeh's eligibility to fly the flag of LP in the coming weekend's Senatorial election may have exposed an orchestrated attack on Peter Obi's Presidential aspiration.

While many could not see beyond the facade of tussle for the Anambra Central Senatorial seat, others simply see it as a targeted onslaught on Obi's unrelenting towering stature in the coming Presidential election. The nation's politics hall of fame has already dutifully recorded his unprecedented national acceptance, popularity and message to the nation and world as historical.

So, as the final seven days countdown kicks off, fears have risen to a high pitch level especially within other contending political camps, who wished things were completely different, especially the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) and the All Progressives Congress (APC); on the likelihood of Obi sweeping the stakes.

The Anambra Central senatorial District appear worst hit, where three long time rivals -Senators Uche Ekwunife, Victor Umeh and Hon Dozie Nwankwo are locking horns for the senate seat. But curiously Ekwunife, for reasons best known to her attempts to shoot Obi, Umeh and LP down using the law courts as springboard. Whereas it's perhaps a well calculated scheme on Obi and his party, the Obidatti International Movement, as well as the popular Peter Obi Support Network (POSN) and the body of Christ in the state.

The dangerous scheme, according to our sources was being undertaken by some elements in the PDP in conjunction with other stomach infrastructure-driven political elements nationwide who were said to be dangling Senate president seat as a bait.

The plot, we further learnt was said to have been designed to unfold in stages and had commenced long time ago. Its first stage was reportedly successful with the name calling of Obi as a "kindergarten president" It was closely followed by the multiple attempts to downplay/discourage his moves/messages of hope, saying he has no structure and that his supporters were merely on social media alone and none on ground.

Another stage was ignited to key into the previous one by describing his mammoth enthusiastic crowd that greeted the nationwide Obidatti Movement rallies as "rented".

But when the lies persistently failed to make any impact, the already exasperated antagonists tried violent assault on the self motivated surging crowds,-to see if they would retaliate for them to seze the opportunity to unleash mayjem on the young Obidients who were cheering Obi as their guide compass to recover Nigeria, their common destiny and freedom from the mindless-structured traducers.

This was while some of the antagonists at the corridors of power including Governors Ahmed El-rufai of Kaduna State, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta State/Presidential running mate of the PDP, as as well as Gov SanwOlu of Lagos State refused any indoor, outdoor advert placement of Obidatti Presidential campaign, rallies and gathering in any part of their States.

But who can fight a vision whose time has come, or God's anointed? Certainly nobody!

Yet another stage was to use Chief Umeh, the LP's Anambra Central Senatorial candidate to try to subtly attack Obi and the Obidatti Movement.

Pronto, Umeh was disqualified vide a Federal High Court verdict on Jan 27,2023. And he quickly went on appeal, which his succeeding looks dicey when details of the judgement were critically considered. Already, the Appeal panel drawn from Enugu Division has sat, taken oral and written arguments and final addresses. The judgement was now deferred for a day to be announced soon.

And should he fail, then it would simply become a straight fight between his main traducer, Ekwunife and another political hardhitter, Hon Dozie Nwankwo of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), the ruling party in the State.

Until the present court verdict, Umeh was one of the top contenders to the coveted Anambra Central Senatorial seat in the fast approaching February 25 general election. He was facing a battery of lawsuits over his candidature, due to the way and manner of his emergence.

While a member of his LP, Chief Solomon Onyekwelu, a senatorial aspirant who claimed he was not given opportunity to prove his popularity in the primary, was dragging him from within the party, Ekwunife, was fighting him from outside.

Ekwunife is seeking an unprecedented third term reelection into the Red Chamber which only very few had attained nationwide. This was in addition to having spent two terms in the Green Chambers earlier. Little wonder many wanted her to willingly step aside to allow a new more active person take over, to avoid monotony, lethargy and rustiness that they claimed have visibly set in already; with the repetition of words and acts, lacking new ideas, creativity and initiatives. As it would be sad to be pushed out through election defeat.

But in all this, the APGA candidate, Nwankwo who was described as being on ground with citizens of the area, and burning with desire to impress the constituents is standing bye and ready to step in.

The trio have been at it together before now and tested and known each other's political strength, antics and tactics.

There was also Chief Kodilichukwu Okelekwe of the All Progressives Congress(APC). However it was a bit difficult to decipher why he joined the race.

Because as an experienced political tactician, it was glaring thatnhe has other motives other than victory, that brought him into the race. Surprisingly he surrounded himself with the wrong set of helpers and aides. And apart from the recent NUJ media debate, no one really believed he was contesting.

According to details of the verdict in the suit No FHC/AWK/CS/155/2022 which came vide originating summons brought by the People's Democratic Party and Senator Uche Ekwunife, as plaintiffs on Sept 30,2022, represented by B.E.I.Nwofor(SAN), leading other lawyers against the LP, Umeh and the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), represented by Alex Ejesieme(SAN), and others lawyers for LP; P.I.N. Ikwueto (SAN),and others, for Umeh, while E.E. Udeh represented INEC as the defendants,

Umeh was accused of being a registered member of APGA, and not a member of LP as at the time of picking the senatorial ticket. That he contested for primary in APGA held on 28 May, 2022 before carpet- crossing to LP perhaps without tidying up his documentations.

That he apparently moved over a little bit too quickly to pick the LP ticket even while his name was still sitting pretty at the top of his Aguluzoigbo Ward of APGA membership register. That by inference he was not a member of LP as at the day he claimed to have won and secured the senatorial ticket.

So, Hon Justice Nganjiwa on Jan 27 in his judgement declared that the INEC acted in breach of the provisions of Sec 29(1), 82(5) and 84(13)of the Electoral Act 2022, by publishing a statement on 20/9/22 at its offices at Awka which included the name of the second defendant (Umeh)as a candidate standing nominated by the 1st defendant to contest senatorial election for the Anambra Central Senatorial District scheduled to hold on Feb 25,2023. Also that the LP having failed to comply with the provisions of Sections 29(1), 77(3), 82(1)(2)(4)(b)(c), 5(c)(I)(ii), 8(9)(11) of the Electoral Act Article 27 paragraph 5 of LP Constitution and its Guidelines for primary election.

An order of injunction was also made restraining LP and Umeh from parading or campaigning as a candidate whatsoever for the Feb 25,2023 Anambra Central senatorial election. INEC was also restrained from accepting or recognizing, treating Umeh as a nominated candidate of LP for the purpose of contesting the Anambra Central senatorial election on Feb 25,2023 and from including his names, logo and emblem of LP and Umeh on the ballot paper for the said election.

In the second suit ref FHC/AWK/CS/156/2022 brought against Umeh by Onyekwelu, LP and INEC, it was ruled in the judgement by Justice Nganjiwa dismissed iron the ground that it lacked locus since there was nothing to hold on, as Umeh has been found to be an interloper who got a ticket without being member of the party.

In reaction,the plaintiff expressed intentions to sue LP and Umeh for recovery of his Expression of Interest/Nomination fees and othernexemplary damages since he was never allowed to participate in any primary.

Sadly, political pundits while acknowledging the beauty of the addition of knowledge through the suit to the nation's jurisprudence, it hurts that the presidential candidate of the LP, HE Peter Obi may actually be the original target of the whole matter.

Therefore leaves sour taste in the mouth that Ekwunife was the main litigant in the suit against Obi's LP considering the close affinity between them before now. More so, she has spent about two decades at the National Assembly and clearly stands a good chance of clinching a plum position under an Obi presidency. It was also touted she was eyeing the Senate top job,should she return to the red Chambers of the National Assembly. Consequently she would fight with everything at her disposal to ensure a win.

Rev Fr Isidore Okoye who spoke to journalists in Awka yesterday demanded to know which school of lawmaking Ekwunife went to gather experience when she made her first entry into politics and NASS for her to describe Obi as kindergarten.

This brand of politics hurts, really hurts!

The Members of All Support group for Peter Obi in Anambra State has declared unwavering support for the presidency of Mr. Peter Obi.

They made this declaration as they joined their counterparts in other State in the 100 million march for Mr. Obi as they rally round Awka, the State Capital from the popular Alex Ekwueme Square at Aroma to Amawbia.

Speaking at the event, The Lead Coordinator of All Support Groups In Anambra, Hon. Charles Obiora Anueyiagu disclosed that Mr. Obi though a son of Anambra is now a National Project. He described Him as a man of great integrity, competence and capacity needed to bring the desired change in government and leadership expected by all.

According to him the march is necessary to sensitize the public on the need to be united in the course of changing the narrative of the country. He charged members and the entire legible electorates to come out on the 25th of February to vote Mr. Obi as the next President of Nigeria.

Another supporter, Mrs. Asogwa described Mr. Obi as the most qualified candidate for the presidency position as he has shown his capacity and competence as a governor and also been loved by the people gives him another edge over the other candidates.

To Mr. Fidelis Attah from Kogi State, His support for Obi is one that is coined from the fact that it is the first time a man is coming out to rule the Nation with ideas. Mr. Peter has the quality to boost the economy of the country.

It will become unjustified to say that the person did not do anything for you/your people tomorrow if he/she finally gets the power!
...and that is exactly the game that our old politicians are preparing to play again, but
WE ARE NOW WISER!

Anambra Central Senatorial poll: Youths, Women group, take over Dozie Nwankwo's campaigns

The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA)candidate for the Anambra Central Senatorial District in the fast approaching February 25,2023 general election, Hon Ferdinand Dozie Nwankwo has been adjudged the face and hope of the youths in governance in the country.

Making this assertion yesterday during a campaign rally at Ukpo market Square, headquarters of the Njikoka Local Government Area of Anambra State, a youth leader and Director of Youth Mobilization and Contact directorate of Nwankwo's campaign council, Barrister (High Chief) Law Ugwunna said it was reason all youths within the district registered their membership.

According to him, we all represent our members in the entire communities within the senatorial district for effective sensitization, mobilization and active participation to ensure massive vote for Nwankwo on Feb 25,2023.

Nwankwo, he admitted, has the National Assembly experience, the suasive appeal, conduct, receptive and friendly disposition.

High Chief Ugwunna who addressed the rally noted that Nwankwo, popularly called 'Onyendozi', because of his good works that he started doing long before the citizens of the area persuaded him to come out to represent and lead them, has remained a shining example in quality representation.

Dr Adaeze Grace Obiora who is the leader of all the Support Groups within the senatorial district went down memory lane to recount some of the numerous good works of the very youthful lawmaker.

She noted that "we collectively went to appeal to Nwankwo to come out to contest election in the interest of people of the area, especially the poor, downtrodden and the needy.

"With our massive support, we gave him overwhelming votes that saw him represent Njikoka/Dunukofia/Anaocha Federal Constituency since 2015. His performance has been very impressive. So we now urged him again to step up to the Senate. We will support him even with added voting vigour", Dr Mrs Obiora stated.

Comrade Martin Dike in his contribution urged citizens to remember always that it is the APGA symbol they should look out for while casting their votes for Senate on Feb 25,2023.

Dike got a standing ovation when he pointed out that, " it was Intended that made our people realize we have someone standing out for us in the National Assembly.

"Before now this area was like a political by-word. But today the whole nation know about our Federal Constituency. We have been beseeched by our brothers and sisters within the senatorial district to allow Nwankwo go to represent all of us at the Senate.

Dike disclosed that a cursory look at his numerous achievements so far including scholarship/poverty alleviation scheme, skill acquisition/tools for effective takeoff, and massive women/youth empowerment. Also Micro credit scheme, Free comprehensive Medical treatment, sewing machines, motor cycles, cars, commuter vehicles and the recent commissioning of the 250-computer set world class ICT training centre at Enugwi-Ukwu, Njikoka LGA.

There was also the Federal College of Agriculture campus of which he attracted to Enugwu-Ukwu where he just awarded scholarship to all the pioneer students., and many more.

Nwankwo, Dike added has been a very active lawmaker who has successfully sponsored life-enhancing bills and motions on the floor of National Assembly.

Through a resolution at the rally, the youths and women groups agreed in unison to henceforth lead the door-to-door campaign of Nwankwo into all the villages, hamlets and homes within the Senatorial district. They said the message must circulate a sink deep into the ears and minds of all so as to vote overwhelmingly for Ferdinand Dozie Nwankwo, aka Onyendozi!

Dozzy Oil Vs Ibeto land tussle:

The matter between Dozzy Oil and Gas Limited and Chief Cletus Ibeto, the Chief Executive Officer(CEO)of the Ibeto Group, resumed yesterday at the Rivers State High Court with Chief Cletus Ibeto, who is his Company’s star witness in the land tussle concluded his evidence in chief and Cross Examination by Dozzy Oil’s lead Counsel, E.C. Ukala (SAN).

During the proceeding, Mr Ukala(SAN), counsel to Dozzy Oil and Gas Ltd, asked Chief Ibeto, as follows - “you tendered Exb15 and 16 with which you said you purchased the land from Bundu Ama community sometime in 2007.

You also tended Exhibit 24; can you show the court where it was stated in the Rivers State Government panel"s report that the land will revert back to the original owners. He instead stated that he was aware of the government panel's recommendations before he purchased the land. That it was reason he specifically wrote the state government seeking clarifications, and they replied asking him to proceed with the purchase. But he evaded a direct reference on the issue of whether any part of the panel's recommendation specified that the land should revert back to the owners.

This posture elicited a ding dong argument between him and Chief Ukala(SAN). He refused to acknowledge the absence or otherwise of the clause that the land will revert back to the owners.

The argument lingered, necessitating the judge to then intervene for the counsel to put it to Ibeto that no part of the recommendations said that the land will revert to original owners. Consequently Ibeto requested for time to read through the documents after the proceedings. But he was informed it has to be at the moment.

So the court magnanimously granted him some minutes break to enable him go through the documents. But at the resumption of proceedings Chief Ibeto stated that he was authorized by the State government to proceed to purchase the land.

But Ukala(SAN)asked whether he was aware of a Special state government gazette that listed all the lands that were revoked by the Graham Douglas Committee report. Ibeto said no, that the land in question measured 20.7 hectares.

Counsel to Dozzy Oil, Ukala(SAN) asked him, you acknowledged being aware that the land was revoked in 2001, yet went back in 2010/2017 to buy some parcel of the same land from the owners?. Ibeto said that those who want to sell approached him and he bought.

Another area of intense disagreement was on the issue of $3million which chief Ibeto insisted he did not borrow it from Dozzy Oil and Gas boss, Chief Daniel Chukwudozie. That instead it was sold to him and he paid the Naira equivalent. Again, when the second USD 3m given to him in October, 2015, after the initial USD 3m of September, 2015 was mentioned, Ibeto quickly said there was no such transaction.

But Ukala(SAN) informed him that it was the second USD3m that brought up the amount in dispute to N4billion for the sale of the land , considering that the total funds transferred to him in Naira was about N3.2 Billion, adding up the total sum to N4billion, he admitted to have recieved from Chief Chukwulozie. And there was a dispute with the conversion/ exchange rate. Ibeto said he sincerely do not know the actual calculation being being thrown up.

He added, "my Lord am under oath. What am saying is true. There was no second S3million. Am happy the counsel(Ukala) know me very well."

Ibeto also acknowledged receiving the letter from the Rivers state government dated March 5,2018 requesting him to return the Certified True Copy of the Land documents of Ibeto Energy Development Company Limited relating to the land on grounds that its certification by the Registrar of Titles was in error. He said he didn't return the documents because there was nothing wrong with it. But when taken up on whether he got any letter from the Ministry of Lands and Survey, to the effect that the certification of his documents was in error, he said there was no reason to return the documents.

It was also discovered that Ibeto had engaged a private surveyor instead a government surveyor to survey the government land and could have been part of reason why the approval was withdrawn.

Ibeto said he was not interested in that, insisting that the surveyor must not be working in the Surveyor General's office. That if he (names withheld) was not approved, the Surveyor General's office would not have registered him.

Ibeto was also asked if he is aware that Rivers State Inland Revenue wrote to EFCC denying issuing the ground rent receipts which he gave to Dozzy as evidence of his title to the property.

It was also discovered that payments of fifty naira for stamp duty receipts for multimillion naira transactions done in 2017 were only paid on Jan 26,2023 without any penalty payment.

Ibeto was also asked if he was aware that a Committee set up by the Rivers State to investigate the ownership of the said parcel of land reported that he does not own the lands he negotiated to sell, but he denied knowledge of that fact.

Receiving Dr. Festus at Igbokenyi village square, the people of Igbokenyi with joy danced to the tune of his campaign music with a warm reception.

The electorates within the Anambra Central Senatorial District have been charged to vote for only candidates that will uplift their lives in the coming 2023 elections.
Chief Nwude who spoke to journalists during a community political interaction with a support group at Nkpor, Idemili North Council area of Anambra state yesterday said that Hon Dozie Nwankwo (Onyendozi) is an embodiment of those qualities.

He said that, "considering that Onyendozi was drawn into political representation by virtue of so many good and philanthropic works he was doing for years as an ordinary citizen.

That Nwankwo was persuaded into leaving his lucrative private business to go to the National Assembly.

"And all citizens of Njikoka/Dunukofia/Anaocha Federal Constituency are testifying that he has given then a new lease of life.

"All communities within these three councils can confirm to everyone within the Central Senatorial district that voting for Dozie Nwankwo means voting for a new bliss in the area... "

Nwude, a popular chieftain of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in the area said that this is the time for APGA to take over the Senatorial seat so as to restore the hopes of the masses.

He listed most recent projects and programs of Dozie Nwankwo that have impacted tremendously on the lives of the citizens to include massive scholarship scheme, free medical outreach for all seven councils, mass computer/ICT training for, vehicles, motorcycles, sewing machines and grinding machines.

Others include hairdressing salon and barbing salon equipment, amongst others.

Nwude pointed out that the natural maxim that the reward for a good work is more work. That "since Onyendozi has proved to be synonymous with service delivery to the citizens, let's give him more job by voting APGA massively for him to go to the senate.

As the elections draw closer, Ndi Anambra West should by now know the best and who to represent them in the State House of Assembly. Anambra West should be intentional on who will represent them this time and that is what our children will appreciate more. Hence, the forthcoming elections is a strong determinant of what comes after us.

Ndi Anambra West knows that Dr. Festus Chukwuemeka Omaremi (Onowu White) is the best and outstanding among those that are contesting the position with him. He has something special in him and that is his exceptional capacity to get things done. Being the best is not about who the person is but what he can pull-off or create spontaneously at any given time.

Dr. Festus Omaremi is driven by a powerful sense of purpose.

The Nigeria Ambassador To Burundi, HE Elijah Onyeagba has hailed the competence and capacity of the Senator Ahmed Bola Tinubu in the forth coming presidential election.

He made this disclosure at the Anambra State APC Presidential Rally in Awka.

According to him, Senator Bola Tinubu is a man with a large heart to accommodate every zone in the country for equal participation in nation building and benefits of the dividends of democracy.

Residents of Ideani community in Idemili North council of Anambra state would breathe fresh air when Hon Uche Annie-Okonkwo is elected into the National Assembly on Feb 25,2023.

The transforming living experience that would befall the Idemili Federal Constituency and environs, according to the youngman had been couched into a well tought-out plan of five thematic areas.

Hon Okonkwo who disclosed this at the Oye Market Square at the heart of the community where he met the first set of voters in the community said he articulated his agenda for their benefit, under four thematic areas. These include healthcare, education, security/crime reduction, and employment/job creation.

The Federal House of Representatives hopeful assured the citizens to troop out en masse on Feb 25, date of the election to vote massively for him and Labour Party(LP), including her presidential flagbearer, Mr Peter Obi.

That scheme of things shall be business-as-usual if LP takes over the rein of authority in the country.

Stressing that his party do not indulge in rhetorics, reiterated that child/maternal health care would be a priority under the LP administration and leadership.

And in order to achieve these, Annie-Okonkwo stated, "... we need a youth that is vibrant.

"That is the LP's method. We don't work with proxy. We don't make empty promises.

"We visit you and deliver democracy dividend direct to the beneficiaries.

"As for the youths, I will facilitate the employment of at least ten(10)youth from each of our seventeen constituting communities, annually."

He expressed excitement at what the situation would be reticulated in all the 17 communities annually.

He got the crowd of excited and jubilant party supporters, stakeholders and members excited when he baptized the party's logo of papa, mama and piking, as being "holy family"

Effective leadership is aimed at accountability, teachability and growth.
A leader who is not progressive and tutored would be retrogressive in decision making and development.

An effect Leader sits under the tutelage of elders and mentors.

Rivers High Court puts Cletus Ibeto in the dock

A Rivers State High Court sitting in Port Harcourt and presided over by Hon Justice A. Enebeli this morning, January 30,2023 put Anambra- born multibillionnaire businessman, Chief Cletus Ibeto in the dock in further cross examination by the defence counsel- Barrister E.C Ukala(SAN) in one of the suits between his companies and Dozzy Oil Ltd.

Ibeto on the resumption of proceedings this morning disputed his previous documented evidence that was already before the court.

Under cross examination, the defence counsel, Barrister Ukala(SAN) asked to know the size of the property in dispute, the location, the original owners from where he derived his title and at that point he denied the contents of his own document. He further added that it was his lawyers that prepared the details, and that it wasn't correct.

At that moment,a ding dong battle ensued between him and the defence counsel seeking to clarify the document. It lingered till the presiding judge intervened, and informed him (Ibeto) that he would suffer no disadvantage to own up.

He was also unable to tell the court the size of the property in dispute, nor the original owners of the title that he inherited.

It was the presiding judge's intervention that enabled him to accept that the document was in line with his instructions.

Chief Ibeto in Suit No. PHC/268/FHR/2022 against Dozzy Oil Ltd in one of the suits in the lingering dispute over a case of sale of apparently encumbered property and an allegation of fraud and forgery against him.

In the suit he had dragged the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) Dozzy Oil Ltd before a Court seeking an order to stop the EFCC from arresting and or investigating him whatsoever, in enforcement of his fundamental human right.

The criminal allegations against on the matter bordered on obtaining N4.6 billion through false pretense from Dozzy Oil in the sale of a large expanse of land to Dozzy Oil.

It was alleged that Dozzy Oil only found out that Ibeto's tittle on the property was encumbered hence went for refund of about N4.6billion Naira being accumulated payment and cost of the transaction, which he declined. Dozzy then petitioned EFCC for recovery of his funds.

Dozzy Oil, Chief Dan Chukwudozie had alleged that he was approached by Ibeto (the applicant) to purchase a parcel of land situated at Reclamation Layout Phase 11 Port Harcourt, but only to discover that the property did not belong to claimant and his companies.

The matter was later adjourned to 7 and 8 February, 2023 for continuation of cross examination of Chief Ibeto.
