Nobody bounces into the court room to testify as a witness!

I have come to Nigeria to give expert witness statement B4 when someone was trying to claim damages etc, and also for other maters so I'm well inclined of how it works. Court cases are recognised at places of work so ur employer is obliged to give you the 2 to 5 hours needed.

Not disputing that, witness summons are served when necessary. The fact that you came into Nigeria, according to you, to stand as a witness would entail a personal or official related matter. The video posted is an unplanned event. My stance is, how many people from the footage would want to leave their individual activities to go to court, knowing the time crunching scenario. For them to be legit witnesses, the have to accompany the Auntie to the police station, where the will make statements as witnesses to Auntie. The question is, how many folks would wanna sacrifice this time for who is not related to them?

Don't also forget that the judicial process in this clime is intentionally delayed for reasons that benefits some. Those assumed witnesses might not want to leave their hustles to come warm a bench for 3-4 hrs for case to be adjourned back to back for a span of 3 to 6 months

Whatever the officer said or done that lead to the assault is irrelevant and will not be heard in this case. In Nigeria, Private videos can be tendered as evidence by police. You are conflating foreign requirements with Nigerian evidence requirements. There is no provision for body cams with the NPF so they use alternatives

There was a case of a stampede in a church where so many people died because free food & sundry was promised. The students complaining ASUU is fighting for their pockets alone are all funny. This same set of people will be moaning about the infrastructural deficit of the Nigerian university. They will complain about harsh lecturing conditions, they will complain that they can't compete with counter parts abroad, they will complain about the whole system. Yet they are so dumb to even cross examine the demands of ASUU to understand if in the long run it's to their favour.


How can you justify myriads of graduates who are chunned out and can't even express themselves in interview confidently. One was asked his next if kin and she mentioned her dean of her faculty in school then who isn't related to her by blood even extended wise sef but graduated with a 2:1 in political science.


My opinion: It is apparent that Nigerians love suffering. I don't blame politicians who milk the nations wealth to their advantage, dispense injustice to the people and even create harsh conditions for people to thrive. I can never join any protest or lead one because those you are fighting for will turn their back against you soonest. For me it's all man to himself.
