@Udoomama, congrats once again. pls ma,can one take letrozole while on herb supplement like vitex? Hw much is it sold and how many mg did u take? Sorry for d plenty question. I also ve pcos.

am not so sure about taking letrozole while on vitex, but I think it's possible becos I was on m2tone (which is a herbal supplement). While I took the letrozole, even though it was prescribed by my gyn. Letrozole comes in 2.5mg per tab, and I tool 1tab daily (2.5mg) for 5days, about the price I bought mine 3k, that was d cheapest I could get, there are diffrent brands, some r sold for 22k, 25k,16k etc hope this helped? You are free to ask any questions

what I did diffrently
Was diagnosed with PCOS early sept,
I saw AF on july 21st
Af August 22nd,
I did HSG august 31st,
My gyn prescribed m2tone and metformin plus folic acid (1tab each 2 times daily) I started taking the drugs sept 3rd till date. He asked me to take Letrozole from cd. 2-6 (1tab daily for 5days) if Af comes.
Saw AF sept 28th( took letrozole from 29th sept-3rd oct), I didn't see AF in october.
AF came 7th Nov, this time I took letrozole from cd5-9( that's from 11th nov-15th nov) was expecting af dec 9th becos I assumed I. Had a 32day cycle, AF no show, was just Cramping for a whole week. Meanwhile I called my gyn that am tired of these drugs, that I want to stop taking it this month, he just said I should see him next week ooo, was feeling so sick yesterday, and decided to do a Hpt, I saw 2 lines, I couldn't believe it,I ran off for a lab test, lo n behold, it was positive. Meanwhile, my 4yrs weddin anniversary was last mnth Nov 26thh, I asked God for a miracle, and He did it. God is indeed faithful, just as He has done it for me, He will do it for everyone ttc by his special grace,BFP is turn by turn, Everyone ttc must get pregnant IJN.
NB: I don't know when/if I ovulate sef, I didn't track my ovulation while on the Letrozole, was just BD anyhow.

@legendsmum, I like dis ur combo ooo, me I started metformin with 92kg,(sept 3rd) as of yesterday, was weighing 82kg, still have 20kg to loose ooo, may God give us d strength, this weight reduction is not easy at all .

@ all, wishing us all a stress free weekend. You know when you are ttc when you take your folic acid religiously like your life depends on it.

@mumihaja, it can only be God ooo, am SERIOUSLY praying for triplets for you. 5yrs no be 5days ooo, it's testimonies like dis that @ times I forget about ttc, cos it will look like am not grateful,( but am indeed grateful) but just like Oliver twist, I want more . Will soon celebrate my 4yrs anniversary and I have a daughter of almost 3yrs.

@mumihaja,chei, I will just start crying tears of joy, serious cry oooo, the crying will be for my daughter, she is d one that is always reminding me of ttc, "mummy where is my sister?" , mummy come let's play, I always feel for her. Hmmm, I noticed that wheneva I go for bpt, I d always see af the next day, sometimes d same day sef , so I don't want to get my hopes up, dats y I want to wait a little longer today is cd38. That 1k for lab fit get me 2 cards of metformin . Chei this pcos is a bastard. I checked my weight, it's now 85 against the 91kg I was weighing before.

@udoomama, in pcos the follicles hardly grows to maturity, so my focus was to stimulate my follicles so they can grow well also to thicken my endometrial linning as it was very thin and thirdly to help my pituitary glands release the needed hormones per time so how i did it is

1. i take soy for 5 days after af
2. ovaboost and queens magic (bee pollen, bee propolis, royal jelly) all through my cycle....for egg quality
3. fertilecm-for fertile cervical mucus and to thicken the endo
4. Red Raspberry-to thicken my endo
5. women's best friend cd1 -cd13 to help flush my tubes...that was before i discovered the clean point tampon
6. maca all through the month for reproductive health
6. red clover from cd1-cd13 helps with ovulation
7. vitex...all through the month -to tell my brain when to release estrogen and progesterone
8. olive leaf helps my body fight allergy, infection
9. Immunace....helps my body to fight frequent infection instead of using antibiotics
10. femtrol has a combination of some herbs that i love
11. false unicorn root....tones the uterus and prepares it for conception
12. fenugreek...i took this one to suppress sugar..an alternative to metformin.

overall, my focus was on a long term result not a short term result......

I have not seen af up till now, but d cramps have stopped, if I don't see af till cd50, will go for the bpt, have not missed my period for the past 3mnths, don't know what's wrong, hpt as of dis morning is still neg.

I don't have any feeling of af coming, had serious af cramps a week ago, was thinking af will come but have not seen it, and now we r in nov.

NB. Have been on m2tone n metformin for pcos since sep 3rd, started d letrozole on cd 2- 6(Dr's prescription) which was on d 29th of sept to 3rd of Oct. Took HPT on the 28th of Oct but it was Neg. Pls mamas that have used letrozole should share their experience biko.

Just like @legendsmother will say, any stomach pain for a ttc woman is either ovulation or implantation pain lol , since yesternite I no fit sleep ooo, serious pain up till now, I pray say na implantation pain , on CD28 today, dnt even know my cycle length anymore.

my dear when u cry finish, stand up wipe ur tears, bath, freshen up, dress sexy for hubby, and give him one hot *** , Devil no go win ooo, don't be surprise u are in ur ovulation period @ d moment n devil want put u for depression so dat there will be no BD, it's good to cry sometyms to let out d pain in u are feeling, but ask urself dis question, has tears ever solved anything? my dear I go with u ooo, BD all the way , me no even know when I ovulate at all, any slight cramps I get after af, weda d pain d severe I d manage BD, make I no miss d opportunity, weda na. Day to af ooo, I get cramps, I d bd, God will help us all.

@ajuwarhodes , Hmmm, my own pain the come with vomiting and stooling ooo, na ground I d dey cos will have room for rolling on d floor, before I got married sef, sometyms na injection for vein my bros d give me before d pain d subside cos drug no d work, to tell u how serious, when I got married sef, felvin was my companion ooo, 2 d extent I took in n was xperiencing implantion cramps I didn't knw mistook it for af cramps I just d take overdose of d felvin, cos d pain was unbearable. My dear, according to my gyna, no matter d pain, just go for paracetamol ,that just what I used during my last af pain ooo( even though e no stop completely) it is well, very soon all this will be history my dear.

@Legendsmum na Garki hospt Abuja oo, one consultant like that, the man don tey for d biz oo, am telling u, we learn everyday cos dat was my only solution for d pains felvin, @ times if I don't take it on tym, will have to double d dose cos make d pains stop quick , didn't know it was nt good.

Had 2 take Felvin yesterday and 2day and d blood is not showing signs of stopping. Google is saying it isn't normal doe am not nauseous or have a fever wich dey say if accompanied wit heavy bleeding and cramping isn't normal. Went 2d hospital wit my husband on Thursday but d doctor said its normal 4 me 2 bleed but 2day is Saturday and am still cramping and bleeding. I noticed d cramping gets worse if am hungry. Pls has any1 experienced dis? I don't want d doctor 2 make me luk foolish if I go there again on Monday. My husband isn't finding it funny bcs we r supposed 2 hv used dis wik 2 bd since it was my ovulation wik and it's bin awhile since we bd bcs am always spotting bcs of d ovarian cyst, even afta af. Am sori 4 d long post.

well, I don't know much about d bleeding ooo, I did mine but just a drop of blood, and dat was all, no cramping, I even bd d next day , it is well, pls if it persist don't hesitate to go back to ur doc ooo, it's ur health we r talking about here. About felvin, I usually have severe af cramps, and I always take it, it works, just last month, I was in serious pains n called my gyn if I shld take it, he said a big no, felvin, ibrupofen,diclofenac etc are not good for ttc women cos it messes with ur ovulation, Infact, in some cases can stop u from ovulating, that I shld just take pcm.
