Politics › Senator Victor Umeh, OFR, Disburses 16 Million Naira Scholarship To Students. by Udopasa(op): 5:15am On Oct 01, 2019 |
An Emotional but Beautiful Sunday it Was!
It was on the 29th of September, 2019. A sunny sunday it was in the very modest Aguluzoigbo Country home of a man who have been severally described as the Soul and conscience of Apga; the Igbo Agenda; the voice of the voiceless; an accomplished professional and a dogged political fighter with a never say die spirit.
It was the annual disbursement of tuition fees to the very brilliant but indigent students drawn from within and outside of Anambra State. The atmosphere was charged with joy unspeakable as Senator Victor Umeh alongside his amiable wife; Chairman and Members of the Victor Umeh Education Foundation(VUMEF) dolled out 16 Million Naira to the beneficiaries.
The beneficiaries were secondary and tertiary students who has long given up hope on being educated. In the words of Senator Victor Umeh, "when I was elected a Senator, during my Odenigbo Radio outing, I promised to institute Scholarship Scheme for Students of Anambra Central in the Universities, Polytechnic etc, we need to support those students that need help .... some Parents can pay, but some cannot ..what happens to those students whose parents cannot pay for their school fees? ..we have to come in, we have serious challenges in this country.. Education is the weapon to fight ignorance ...Education holds the future.. With my wife, we have Education Foundation where over 250 students in the Universities are already benefiting... when you add today's 70 new beneficiaries to already existing 250, we have 320 Youths benefiting from our Scholarship Scheme ...I don't believe in propaganda, if I say something, I will do it .. during my campaign, I promised Honest, bold and courageous representation..and today at the Senate, I have insisted in doing those things that will give every Nigerian a sense of belonging...I want Nigeria to run an all inclusive government...".
This is the kind of human capital development/empowerment our society desperately crave for and not engaging in our youth on how best to speak/fight for conscienceless scammers and abuse those who ought to be their role models online.
Long Live Senator Victor Umeh, OFR.

Should anything happen to Buhari and in retaliation, anything happens to any Igbo man living outside of Igbo land in Nigeria, some of us will not only lead but actively participate in doing anything very necessary to ensure that the immediate family of Nnamdi Kanu who have refused to take their son, husband, father, uncle et al to a psychiatric home,

radiolover: You seem to have lost contact with reality...the power that be. If not, you would know Tinubu would do anything and everything to make sure this kind of move is not fruitful. You should know by now that Tinubu is not your problem neither is he the problem of Ndi Igbo. Stop scandalising his name and start supporting the efforts of Reps like Hon Ifeanyichukwu Ibezi, Senator Victor Umeh, Senator Ifeanyi Ubah et Al at getting what is due for Ndi Igbo. |

radiolover: This is applaudible move. I sincerely pray this works. Everything cannot continue to be Lagos, Lagos and Lagos. Although I see Tinubu doing his best to thwart this effort. Must you rope in Tinubu into this? Can't you make your submission and face your front? Must you guys always tribalise every reasonable thread/topic? Kwanyere onwe gi ugwu o. |

When we told them the difference between Hon. Ibezi and Osita Chidoka is too wide a gap, some people doubted us. Now, the "Reality" which Hon. Ibezi is a core proponent of is beginning to unfold.
Indeed, Hon. Ifeanyichukwu Ibezi (Ochiagha) is a blessing not only to Umu Idemili but Nigeria.

Udopasa: The president must get involved in this by giving the COAS a matching order to capture the Hamisu guy alive within Seven days or face harsh disciplinary measure.
I smell a huge conspiracy here to free the alleged kidnapper by all means necessary.
Do you have a president? Yes, I do. |

SoNature: Why are you getting him involved? The highest ranking soldier at the checkpoint should be made to face the music.
After reading certain news coming from Nigeria, person go dey vex unnecessary...look how these soldiers killed three policemen and freed the kidnapper.
The army is telling us half-truths! The COAS should be held responsible by the president for the conduct of his troops and he sure know who to hold responsible so as to bring in a swift result. Else, his head should roll for others to learn from. |

For Apga to regain sanity and remain on the path of winning, that Ekperima who still parade himself as the national chairman of the party must not only refund the aspirants he fleeced during the primaries but resign and sew his prison uniform.

It doesn't matter where they came from. The most important thing is that they're thugs and not law enforcement agencies Working for and in full support of the State government led by Ihedioha. |

I doubt if this report is entirely true. But, should it be true, Ihedioha should be made to understand that people elected him not to destroy properties built with state resources but to build and consolidate.
Ihedioha has been misfiring since inauguration and it's unfortunate. |

mekaboy: Charles. Stop hiding under a fake monica to praise useless umeh. Has he contested any position before? How do you measure popularity? Ekwunife won him before and he used the back door through the got to go and do one year youth service in the Senate. She won him by vote and he went and said she was not elected in her party through the right process.
She won him the second time by vote. The woman has strong grassroots and is very influential.
Umeh thinks he can win peoples heart by going for burial. She won him by RIGGING. |

Afamed: Both Ifeanyi Uba and Chris Uba have the acceptability. However, Chris Uba using the platform of Apc didn't help him in that particular zone, especially Nnewi South and North. Chris Ubah used the platform of APC kwa? Chris Ubah is/was of the PDP not APC. |

Afamed: Umeh would not have gotten many projects in his name having spent less than 1 year as a Senator. Hope you remember, the court declared him as a winner less than 1 year of the administration amaniro: I'm not Anambra neither do I know their politics. This assertion is not true. |
