casualobserver: Like I always say, many of the problems of Nigerians are rooted in poor English comprehension. It is difficult to communicate with someone if you say something and they hear something else. Where did I in my statement say all northerners are good politicians, or all Ibos are good businessmen or all Yorubas are good administrators or that is all they are good at or they alone are the good or the best in that field and no one else?
I think you’ll find your problem is poor comprehension possibly laced with a deficiency of intellect. It is people like you that will read “minimum qualifications: school leaving certificate” and start submitting forged degree nobody asked you for, like David Lyon of Bayelsa. you ended up saying nothing other than contradicting yourself. If you ain't cool with the word "alone", isn't it safe to conclude that you agree with my earlier submission which you tried disputing? |

casualobserver: Remind me again, who is minister for trade, industry and investment? Who was the minister next to Tinubu in India where the $14b investment deals were signed? Where is that minister from?
Secondly there is a difference between being an entrepreneur and being the administrators/ managers of the enterprise. There is a reason why despite being entrepreneurs, there is no officially recognized Ibo billionaire. Your businesses are generally very haphazard and chaotic. Just look at INNOSON, how many models does he have? Every day he is introducing a new model, even Toyota doesn’t introduce models the way INNOSON does but does he even have a branch showroom or service Centre in the commercial capital Lagos?
It’s one thing to be an entrepreneur, it’s another to be properly administered. Dangote is an entrepreneur but he hires competent administrators mangers and staff, not I will put my brother there to manage. Ben Akabueze an IGBO man, was what again in Lagos state during the time of Tinubu and successive administrations? Did he do well? Ngozi Okonjo Iweala was what again during the time of Obasanjo, Yaradua and successive governments? Did she do well? If we're to go by your postulation, since yorubas are good in policy formulation and administration alone, shouldn't they be in the civil service(core ministries) alone while leaving the public service for others? |
Politics › Re: N100m Palliative Claim: Senate Threatens Legal Action Against NLC by Udopasa: 10:07am On Sep 15, 2023 |
Sojourner1976: . Isn't that a reflection of how terribly divided Nigerians has become under Buhari and Tinubu? Is the NLC fighting for itself or the Obidients' you guys shamelessly attach them to? Do you know that Joe Ajaero can conveniently strike a deal with Tinubu and then allow the Nigerian workers to suffer?
You support a govt that removed subsidy over three months ago but haven't done anything for Nigerians? Isn't it shameful? Telling senseless lies or resorting to kindergarten blackmails shouldn't be part of a genuine agitation. Had expected NLC to oppose the release of palliatives to Governors while providing a better alternative on how the funds should be deployed than resorting to senseless lies that will further erode the already eroded trust Nigerians have got on them. |

Politics › Re: Tinubu appoints Zacch Adedeji as FIRS acting boss by Udopasa: 9:44pm On Sep 14, 2023 |
casualobserver: The north are the masters of politics, the Ibos commerce, the Yorubas administration. In a utopian environment, the north would control politics, the Ibos commerce and the yorubas the civil service and everybody would know his place. Problems arise when you want to leave your area of competence to venture into arenas you have shown over 60 years not to have competence.
Yorubas may be in “power” but Yorubas are not the best politicians, if anything we are In Power at the pleasure of the North due to the superior political Intelligence and understanding of the North. So any yoruba man gloating is only displaying the intelligence of a simpleton. What Nigeria needs right now are good public administrators, it’s only natural in trying to fill round holes with round pegs, to recruit from where they are abundant. if Ndị Igbo are good in commerce, appoint Ndị IGBO into parastatals and agencies that facilitate this commerce and not the other way round. |
