I know of a Medical Doctor who told me when she first move here.She had to start as a PSW,she did that for few years before getting her license to practice her main profession.Imagine if that toddler up there have met her during those survival job,he would have look low on her like a nobody.

I think this would depend on where you currently live in BC. I don't think the cost of housing in Ontario would be much less compared to BC, if at all any different. Buying a house outside the GTA is only affordable when you compare it to Toronto. Anyways, who knows? maybe you would hit gold here. There’s a way you can work around it, your spouse can apply for a visiting visa and when she gets here, she can apply for a work permit, she can be on the work permit till the spousal sponsorship clicks. This was what my friend did as her husband couldn’t stay away from her for a whole year. Pls note that if you apply for work permit from Nigeria, you’ll be denied, you should get the visiting visa first , then get the work permit when you get here.

I will like you to clarify more.
I know for a fact getting a visiting visa is not that easy from Naija.
Now after getting the visa as a visitor,how do you get a work permit?
Dont forget you applied as a visitor....Or is there something new now?I will like to learn from you.
