Have you people wondered why Ojukwu was close to Abacha? and how the same Ojukwu visited Saro Wiwa in prison and left him a cryptic message the famous "Good morning".... Well I'll forgive you because you people don't travel neither do you read or investigate things for yourself. 3 Likes |

We like been dishonest to ourselves. Ojukwu is no Saint same for Awo, Zik and co we have to come to terms with that. Had Aburi accord been respected we wouldn't be talking about all these. That's by the way sha, if you excuse Awo for the starvation policy what about the 20pounds issue? Tranquill:Saro Wiwa took over Ojukwu's father's property located at ABA road. Most of Ojukwu's father's properties are in Captain Amangala street. And for your information Saro Wiwa by virtue of his position in Gowon's regime influenced the abandoned property saga. On several occasions he was even cited with his then best friend General Sabi Abacha who was a Lieutenant then in Sir Lois Ojukwu property. These are some of the shameful dids we don't like to admit. It's also worthy to point out that it is not only Igbos that suffered the abandoned property saga, alot of Ijaws lost their properties the state polytechnic in River state was owned by an Ijaw man it was seized from him because of his involvement in the war and till date no one has corrected this injustice. Incidentally, it was the same Abacha that gave back all those properties to Ojukwu after he overthrew Shonekan to buy Ojukwu's loyalty. You know the irony of everything? Igbos in no time bought back most of those properties from the thieves as many of them couldn't even maintain it. 4 Likes |

Many Nigerians are not fed up with suffering that's why someone will see a candidate like Moghalu and ask him to go and contest in his Senatorial zone or state. On one hand you people are crying and suffering under the gross incompetence of Buhari and his team whose only solution to anything is going back to the farms and shouting Anti-kwaraption and on the other hand discouraging and abusing candidates with the requisite exposure, knowledge, competence of how a 21st century economy and an ethnically diverse nation should be managed. Instead of you people to rally round and say enough is enough same youths will collect 5k, Indomie and Tin tomatos and vote in another relic that will even out perform Buhari in incompetence and come back to whine and cry how their future have been mortgaged. We saw how the youths in Zambia rallied round Hichelema and made him the President despite the rigging antics of the former president. Nigerians una mumu never too much? 144 Likes 11 Shares |

Justice is all Nigerians are asking for and justice they must get else we wont make any progress as a nation. In this same Endsars protest we saw videos of middle level officers particularly Majors in the army disarm and de-escalate angry mobs w/o firing a single gunshot infact the Major that was in charge of the NYSC camp in kogi literally stopped his soldiers from firing into the crowd that wanted to loot the stuffs made for corpers he appealed to the mob and made them see reasons why they shouldn't steal what belongs to their brothers/sisters that came for service, similar scenario occurred in Osun state were we saw another army Major engage an irate mob and within 10min he deescalated an already tensed atmosphere also not forgetting the Senior NAF officer captured on camera warning police officers to stop firing at the mob so he could engage them. These is to tell you that the military have alot of good men that know the sanctity of human lives and the huge responsibility that comes with wearing the uniform, what makes you a good soldier is the ability to carryout your objectiuve with as minimal casualties as possible infact if you can disarm your enemy w/o firing a shot the better. To those set of officers we will always praise and commend them but you see those bad eggs that perpetrate criminalities we must call them out it doesn't mean we aren't patriotic we all want a sane society not a banana republic were anybody can misbehave because he or she have access to a rifle, virtually everyone can pull a trigger people at the helm of affairs should try as much as possible not to push the citizens to the wall because when all hell breaks lose simultaneously all over the country the resultant effect will be worst than a zombie apocalypse. 25 Likes 2 Shares |

It's obvious the gov't lack the political will to do what is necessary; that isn't really surprising since we have hardcore Jihadist presently in gov't whose only angst against Bokoharam lies in the modus operandi of the terror group & the C-in-C haven't taken action against them. Stormtrooper11:How long are we gonna wait or make politicians see the need to fund the military especially the Army? Exploring other options shouldn't be out of the table, it's a matter of national security. It is useless recruiting/training thousands into the military w/o plan to properly cater for their welfare and equipments. The edge Israel have over Arab nations is nothing but cutting edge technology and equipments not really numbers though if we have both it would be excellent. I won't be surprised if we later get to hear that the Brig.Gen that was KIA was going for that reinforcement in a convoy of Toyota Hilux. 4 Likes |

SamuelAnyawu: It's very clear our military needs help but some idiotic self deluding fellows keep decieving themselves. They think calling for assistance means calling the Military useless, even the US with all its resources would hardly go into any war w/o alliance(s) talkmore of Nigeria that is still struggling to consistently spend $1bn yearly solely for procurements/upgrades. Is it not 2 weeks ago COAS was complaining bitterly about the slashing of army's budget yet we shouldn't seek for help anywhere we could. Even soldiers on ground will tell you they will welcome the idea of getting reinforcement from regional blocs even if it means them holding the fort along border towns. As for the ewures shouting that we only amplify bad news, so we should keep quiet when soldiers die because they're not human beings with families. In the US death or casualties of noncommissioned- soldiers can bring a gov't down talkmore of an army General but in Nigeria we should hush it all up and amplify BHT casualties as if the lives of those renegades equates to that of soldiers. We should keep quiet and not shout so that gov't will see the need to fund the military as it should putting in mind that we are literally the mouth piece of these soldiers as they can't speak for themselves. Well!!! The cycle continues.. 11 Likes 1 Share |

It's high time we rally support from ECOMOG and AU or even the UN to come assist us with both men and equipment; if we can rally about 10,000 contingents of these regional forces to take on these terrorists head-on it will go a very long way in this war. It's getting obvious that the military is overwhelmed/overstretched coupled with the fact that they're heavily underfunded especially the Nigerian Army. We should tuck in this big brother abi na giant of Africa mantra in our pockets and seek for assistance anyway and anywhere we could this war has already lingered for too long we can't build a nation in a perpetual state of internal-war. 3 Likes |

That's by the way sha, from the vegetation, soil and setting of those houses a discerning mind can tell where the action happened but lets keep lying to ourselves and not address the recklessness within the rank and file of the army. 15 Likes |

Omo I watched the unfortunate video of soldiers firing GPMG into what appears to be a civilian settlement and the idiots recorded themselves worst of it all they were chanting slurs in Hausa language thus creating room for perfect propaganda material for separatists to use. The rank and file of the l army are another breed entirely, I pray the authorities don't worsen the situation by coming out to deny it because that video obviously wasn't doctored the culprits should be used to set example if not they'll grant legitimacy to IPOB and if we can't win the hearts of the ordinary man on the streets, it's pointless fighting a war that the enemies have support from the locals. 9 Likes |

Whyem15:Did you just day NAF should attack fishermen? This sounds insensitive & irresponsible at the same time, it is well known to everyone that most of those fishermen pay taxes to ISWAP in order to carryout their business w/o harassment same way they tax other commodities within their territory. If you don't want them to pay taxes it's either you relocate all of them and arrange a way to cater for them or flush out the insurgents. The government can't be forcing people to leave IDP camps back to their communities some of which are still being held by terrorists and expect them not to do the biddings of the terrorists, they only trying to survive, if you were in their shoes you will also pay those taxes to save your life/business... Life is already hard for these people we shouldn't compound their woes. 13 Likes 1 Share |
