markpenk: lol... how did know they wanted to vote for APC? Did they broadcast it? Na wa o According to him, they didn't operate a closed ballot system in his polling unit. Peoples' papers were looked at before they went into the ballot boxes. And just before they were given their ballot papers, it was announced that anyone voting for APC should more or less drift. |

sinizia: You see, the typical Igbo man is not too serious during voting. He's all about his business and making money. For Igbo people to vote you en masse, then something must have provoked them to do that. Mostly if they feel you are treating them unjustly, or they view it as war.
The Igbos came out in droves in 2011 for GEJ, went through hell for him, because they felt they've been maligned enough in this country and Jonah represented that hope that power must not stay in particular group of people. But what did Jonah do? Jonah took most of his works outside the East. Jonah didn't live up to expectation, so this time around, the enthusiasm is no more. He lost many fans from Igbos.
Secondly, Igbos don't take voting seriously like the Hausas. They don't travel back to their region to vote. A typical Hausa man will leave Jupiter via spaceship or astral travel just to make sure his fellow Northerner gets his vote. Voting to them is like a fulfillment of destiny. . @emboldened. That's why the typical Hausa man will always have my utmost respect. They take their loyalty to a whole new level. We can't be lackadaisical forever. When economic policies are made, who do the favour or deter? The engines of the economy. Last I checked those were the igbos. If we think this isn't enough reason to pay attention to the electoral process, then it would appear my brothers enjoy being tagged as 'survivors' wherever they find themselves. Nigeria can be better. Take Lagos for instance. The Igbos are very concerned about their business, which is why they will vote Agbaje if there's hope for reduction in taxation. They don't seem very interested at the national level. |

Don't worry, you'll have better luck in 2019. I heard there'll be online voting...
Vote ke, am currently in Ghana on ass tourism. Too fresh to even stand under the sun and pick wads of dollars. @emboldened. Eziokwu I hope to vote come the next elections though. Let me see the silly process that'll stop me. There's something worth seeing in Ghana? Didn't know that @Too fresh to stand in the sun. CFCfan: The low turnout in the SE may well cost Jonathan the presidency. His foot soldiers didn't run an effective "get out the vote" operation, unlike what the APC did in the North and SW. No, I think it's more than that. People have simply lost hope in the president. The few who bothered to vote may have been swayed more by tribal/religious sentiments than trust in Jonathan to make things right. APC did a helluva job though. Gotta give them that. |

So majority collected their PVCs for future purposes, and celebrated the voting day on Pami, Nkwobi, Ugba and cool Highlife music. Lol @Nkwobi hehehe. This is a very bad attitude to carry about in this trying times. Oh and the Lagos polls shows hope for PDP. I see Jimi Agbaje winning the guber elections. |

blackbeau1: And it hasn't occurred to you guys that this might be staged by Jega and PD to give them more time to rig or else, how do u explain the fact that security hasn't walked him out? lol I thought the same too. But security can't walk him out on international tv. At least not in front of the cameras. Here's what I think anyway: As at the time they started, we were told 3 results were available, while the others claimed to be held up at Abuja airport. What's delaying them hmm? So maybe this is just supposed to help them kill time while the real drama happens where we can't see it I love conspiracy theories |

The East is very disappointing It's like there's a consensus that Jonathan isn't the man they want, but neither is Buhari. So the people just collect their PVCs for Identity purposes. |
