It's okay to feel this way. It won't be your duty, but some things are just... basic, like making a bed If he's up before you, then do it before you leave and tidy up a bit. If he's up after you, then teach him to do same (the bed I mean). Making your bed isn't a wifely duty, it's just a basic for everybody.

As for the other points, he is your boyfriend. Despite the things we tell ourselves about relationships not being marriages, truth is they are technically marriages. So help out when you can. When he's washing, maybe offer to rinse? Or when he's cooking, go sit with him and wash up after you're both done.
You know the works, just be useful, but don't turn yourself into a maid.
And please stop being so 'aware'. Awareness is the one thing that kills everything good.

There are exceptions alright, but to be honest, people who are deeply (strangely too) rooted in their Anambra ways are highly unlikely to stray far away from home.
Parents who aren't very exposed, have had the misfortune of dealing with unruly people from other tribes are very likely to generalise bad behaviour as peculiar to said tribe too. They will try to advice their children against marriage. But then they'll also not push it if said child insists on their choice. But darn parents can be convincing sha especially when they start dropping their proverbs

I don't understand why they'll date for 6yrs and neither of them ever discussed their tribal 'barriers'. Who does that? Sometimes I think women like to punish themselves. I know a person who dated a guy for so long and then lost him to another woman for this same tribal issue. It's so common today it should be part of preliminary discussions once things begin to heat up between two people.
But to wait forever and cry foul later? Op should just tell her friend to discuss her fears (or lack of) with this guy. If he is from Anambra, then she has to talk about it.

But seriously, it's a problem. I have the same issue (repping Anambra) and think I might have to reconfigure my mind to be acceptable of other tribes (and non Anambrarians sef). I know say my own too mush
But like someone said, we just understand ourselves. We get our system. We know our men/women. It's like having an idea what to expect, and even if things go wrong, like my dad will say at least we know how to fix it.
The issue is culture and most of us have been hardwired from a really young age to preserve that (dilution?). Doesn't make it right or wrong though.
