It takes a lot of hours for females to maintain the beauty and even more for those that forcefully put on the beauty.

It's not unreasonable to expect these sort of ladies to lack in other departments as most of their free time is spent beautifying thy self as well as getting bugged by the non stop attraction they had expect to get from the opposite sex.

How else does one maintain beauty other than shower properly and use good lotions/moisturizers?

@bolded. That's enough reason to stay away from further beautification ie downplay your looks IMO. Who loves to be bugged

But here's the problem with depending on introspection: you most often than not give reasons to justify the presence of your actions that may or may not be adequate.

The advantage of talking things through with a second party is they open you up to diverse point of views. Your self-preservative action may in truth be selfish. Your supposed selfish action may actually just be self-preservative due to circumstances.
This is why people seek professional help from psychologists or choose to talk to strangers.

Better answers flow when your mind isn't playing advocate, jury and executioner for you

Are you talking of this thing people call "humility"? I think we mistake that word sometimes. There's arrogance and self confidence.
A person being sure of who/what he is and the measure of his worth is self confident. I think that's where your cousin falls. No harm at all.
It begins to border on arrogance when he sees every other organist as inferior species. But you can only tell this when you see him interact (or refuse to) with them.
