P.S. Every weapon of war is harmful, but it also gives you the opportunity to defend yourself, a chance to live. That is a good thing.

I don't think Paloma and Diego(Cuando seas mia) was a 90s series. Think it aired sometime in 2005 and 2006.

Ihedinobi: @UJ's Q, It's an old thread and I'm too busy mentally to go looking for it. That was where I first unravelled the whole thing about predestination. Mr Anony was there too and we had a great time.

It's a bit complex and I know that long posts are tiresome and I also don't want to draw it out so I will have to give nutshells that we can unravel with specific, pointed questions.

1. God did not "directly" fix a particular time for each individual's salvation.

2. Each individual is directly involved in deciding both whether and when he will be saved.

Perhaps I'll develop each in a separate post with as much brevity as possible.
Thanks, i'm waiting for that epistle smiley

Reyginus, try the 10mb plan first, then call *123*123# to see which account is active. If your data is in A10, then you can try the 1G or 2G plan, if it's in A9 then it's a hopeless case.

HumbledbYGrace: @ Uju I don't get you fully but, what about the scripture that says we should invite God into our lives? He is already waiting for you to let him in?
I know we're supposed to invite him, but does the whole gift and predestined talk mean he won't really come in till the appointed time?
Christianity Etc › Re: The Christian Chatbox ( sticky) by UjSizzle(f): 1:10pm On Dec 23, 2013
Reyginus: Lol. Not at all. Sometimes I don't feel worthy to call myself a christain. Answering this particular question would be hypocritical.
We don't feel worthy of a lot of things dear, but there is no harm in sharing what you do know smiley

Okay.

Now i've come across various scriptures that speak about people being predestined to be saved. I know God wants the salvation of man, but i'm quite led to believe everyone's salvation comes at a said time with the 'predestined' talk.
What actually sparked this question was a comment Yetseyi made pertaining to my last Q about the spirit being responsible for a man's salvation and all that.
Now what i want to understand is this: What's the point of deciding to say the 'I believe in Jesus' prayer as a sinner, when your 'time' of salvation is already been determined by God?
There are occasions where you literally choose to surrender your all to Him and yet don't get to receive his spirit then.
I know the holy spirit is our mark of ownership, our hope of the inheritance of God's promises as his children. Why are then expected to give our life to God, if salvation is his gift and we are predestined individually to be saved?

I don't know if i've even remotely managed to make my question understandable grin but if you do get it, i'd love to see your views.
