Honestly from experience, it's extremely difficult to be a 'clean' Christian in this country. The system is corrupt! And if you really want to serve your clients well/protect their interest then you may need to get down and dirty.

Take for instance you work with an audit firm which also handles tax affairs for your clients too. Now we do know that govt workers aren't the most professional people(who can blame them though ), and these clients need their tax returns filed before certain deadlines.
So running against the clock with the lazy worker factor, you have 2 options:
1. Let money change hands and call it 'facilitation' fee to save your client cash.
2. Stand there, yell at them to attend to you, get nowhere with all that yelling, miss the deadline, and pay penalties. Heck possibly lose your clients too


Point is it is near impossible to run an 'honest' business here. You aren't just protecting your interest alone, but that of the staff, clients and the company's image too.
We can decide to tell ourselves otherwise, but take a look at your accounts first and aske what exactly these words 'Public Relation Expenses' means

Joshthefirst: what I am saying is that the one's you term 'religious' are not really followers of christ. Disciples. Jesus said go into the world and make disciples, not religious people.. Religious people go to the church and think they're christians, they think they're born christians. But in fact, they need the gospel. They do not live for christ. Christ changes a man I say. Makes him different. Makes him fearless in doing good. Delivers him from sin. Nigeria is a country of religious people, if they were truly christians, this country would be one of the most civilized and developed and peaceful places on earth. The reverse is the case. Corruption and unrighteousness reeks in the high and low places. This is what is happening in naija:

Titus 1:16 They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate.


Nigeria needs the gospel of christ! Nigeria needs true christians who know God to preach and bear him witness both in their words and in their lives! To Stand up for Christ!

Hey, I need your help again.


So, at church there is this girl who I have been eyeing.......well, the thing about catholics is that different catholics have their favourite times for mass...some go to church at 6AM, some at 8AM some at evening mass.....so, this girl and I always go to the same mass.


I tell you, it was love at first sight. I think that there is a way 2 people know that they like each other from the way they look at each other. Funny enough, the fateful day came when we sat together by accident...someone asked if we were brother and sister because we are both light skinned and both wore corporate dressing, we both laughed and looked at each other.....the conversation never stopped from there.


Now, the problem is that she is a liberal catholic just like I was.. She pings on bb in church. My atheism would only make her worse. I know her parents because they sometimes come to the same mass. They are staunch catholics. I dont want to let her go but I also do not want her to lose faith because of me- knowing what her parents could be like.

You're being considerate...that's good
If you're worried you'll rub off on her negatively, I suggest you distance yourself a bit from her. It's relatively easier for a man to deal with whatever discrimination may come with difference in beliefs especially in a country like Nigeria than a woman.

There's really no need to get emotional here. All I've asked is that you report spoilers. That's not so difficult is it?
