CrimeRe: Four Armed Robbers Shot Dead By Police While Robbing In Lekki (video) by UKkev: 3:21pm On Apr 23, 2020
SLAP44:
Nigerian police must change their training methods. They still have the civil war mentality where all they think is kill kill kill every minute.

Supposing these are young men driven out by hunger and are robbing for the first time?

Can we not arrest, prosecute and reform their lives to give them a second chance in life?

What about the possibility of arresting their trainers, sponsors and cohorts and arms suppliers if there are any? You ruin your investigative assets when you kill the suspects without giving them chance to confess.
You are sick. You really need help

GamalNasser:
A commission officer is an officer that has been official commissioned into the commisioned officer cadre of the military and in Nigeria that's an officer that passed through the Nigerian Defenu Academy (NDA). While a non commissioned officer is what Nigerians refer to as other rank or recruit
You don't even know what you are saying. Why refer to non commissioned officers as recruits? That means you will also call a commissioned officer a cadet right?

Non commissioned officers are military personnel who enlisted into the Armed Forces of Nigeria (army. Navy and airforce) with OLevel/ND/NCE academic qualifications,
while Commissioned officers are personnel who joined the Armed Forces with BSc/HND academic qualifications through the Nigerian defence academy or short service commission.
Thanks.

Stereotyping is evil.

I'm very sure your father would cuss at a foreigner who'd describe him as a scamming fraudulent Nigerian.

I'd advise you to follow your heart and do the needful with this "good girl" you've described.

Just imagine that you hearken unto your father's ignorance and she moves on to the next lucky guy immediately and then say, a month later, your dad who has lived a better part of his life transitions to the great beyond, wetin you go do?
You better live your life by your terms.

Please pardon my grammatical errors.
There's this lady I met during her service year in 2017. We got talking (mostly online) and late 2018 I requested her to be my girlfriend which she agreed. From that period till now, we have been in love with each other.
This lady have normally supports me when am down financially and have also shown great respect for me. I discussed marriage with her and she happily told me that she would love to be with me.
But the problem is this. I introduced her to my family and to my greatest surprise my mum showed interest on her, even telling me that she likes her. But my dad frown on my decision to marry her. When I asked why, he told me that ladies from imo state don't stay in marriage. To be Honest with you guys, I have been hearing stuffs like this. Why is it so? There was a day I brought up the issue with her but she just laughed and told me that it depends on indivisual. Please those that are familiar with ladies from imo state should clarify me on this. I really love her and I have interest to marry her. Thanks.
Note: it's not as if anyone can stop me from getting Married to her. Am just scared about all these "imo ladies don't stay in marriage"

The level of ignorance in this forum (Nairaland) is very high and disturbing.
Joining the Armed Forces of Nigeria is by choice. No body is forcing anyone. By the time any of the services (army, Navy airforce) starts recruiting you will still see thousands or Nigerians applying for the job both from the North, West, South and East. And mind you all, anyone signing up has already known what he/she would be facing. The leaders only gave their advice so I don't see any need for insults here. We are all matured. We all know that joining the military at this time is very risky, but no one is forcing anybody.

Its a pity.

This clearly shows that Boko Haram are well managed nd have good welfare more than Nigerian soldiers.
I must first appreciate Shekau for being able to manage his boys more than Buhari nd Burutai

For over 10yrs Boko Haram has been in operation I have never heard that they turned their gun on themselves.

I will rather join my community vigilante than to be a Major in Nigerian army.
While boko haram are killing soldiers, soldiers are in turn killing themselves meanwhile the captured boko haram are being released by Federal Govt.
