ITbomb: Inasmuch as I believe in giving, I keep wondering how some people in the western world are so blessed yet they know nothing about tithe.

However, I can say that although these people appear blessed yet most do not enjoy their blessings, true enjoyable blessings with peace of mind comes only from the Lord by His grace even as you bless others around you and right living.

Tithing is not the only way of blessing but we cannot deny that it is working for some people, in the end it is what you believe and convinced by it that works for you.

hw do u know that they dnt enjoy their blessing? Is it because they dnt pay tithe?

Many people think that if you dont pay tithe you will not be blessed. This is a lie as many people dont pay tithe yet God blessed them. We cant earn God's blessing by works. His love and mercy upon us makes him to bless us. Whether we tithe or not God's blessing will still come to us. He will still bless the works of our hand. His love knew no bound.

The scripture:
psalm 1:1.
Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.

Abraham was already in God's blessing before he payed tithe. Which he did once.

Genesis 13:1-2, 5-6.

Isaac did not pay tithe yet he was blessed abundantly by God.

14. For he had possession of herds and great store of servants and the philistines envied him.

This doesn't come as a result of tithe.

Job was also blessed despite the fact that there was no record whether he pay tithe.
Job 1:1-3.

We are encourage to give to the poor. We would be blessed if we do so.

Proverb 22:9.
He that hath a bountiful eye shall be blessed for he giveth bread to the poor.

We are blessed also in christ Jesus.
Ephesians 1:3.
Blessed be the God and father of our lord Jesus christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in christ.

We can see that it is not by tithing that we get blessed but it is by God's favour and grace upon a man's life. When we have Jesus, we have access to God's riches and inheritance.
I am in no way saying we should nt give. Infact i give if i hv d means to support God's work but that is not what bring his blessing. His blessing comes as a result of his grace and mercy. We dnt merit it.

All we hv to do is live a holy life unto him and he will favour us.

I dnt pay tithe yet he favours and blessed me everyday. He is a kind God.

Those people worshipping mary are just doing themselves great harm
