TonyeBarcanista:

Rubbish! If you are pained because some of us are standing up against blackmail, that's your business. What is your business if Mustapha was cheating on his wife? Did she complain to you fa?

Let me reiterate that the accuser was a side-chick that is pained because she wasn't upgraded. She was never raped! All conversation point to this fact!
Good luck Bro in your business as it is not mine. I hope you get paid because i do not think you are doing a good job. You will soon be found out . I thought i was chatting with a civilized person (giving you the benefit of the doubt ) but its very obvious you have a mission so go on bro and once again good luck

TonyeBarcanista:

Perhaps you should tell pro-sugabelly to shut up and allow her speak for herself
She has been speaking for herself. you seem to be on a mission here . You seem to know all the facts and you are very affirmative in all you say. I would love to see you turn up in the witness box . There is nothing wrong in Mustafa coming out to say all sugabelly has been saying are lies and I am taking care of this as my lawyers will soon release a statement. All we see is some random people coming out in defence of Mustapha .
Keeping quiet like that and waiting for other people who were not there to do the defence doesn't add any credibility to him. Not a single person sugabelly mentioned has come to refute the allegation Again how would you describe Mustapha's wife who has come out to defend the husband in public even when its obvious the guy was cheating on her? how do you explain how girls who get beaten up by their boyfriends find it difficult to leave such boyfriends . We may not be directly involved in this but we need to learn from it to protect our mothers, sisters and daughters

We are all against rape but Sugabelly wasn't raped.

can't Mustapha apeak for himself? Why are you so sure she wasn't raped? sometimes its so easy to judge when we are not involved. I see a lot of people also passing judgement that she encouraged it. I will advise parents to watch their daughters very closely from ages 10 to 17. those ages are very delicate so that we don't have recurrent episodes like this
Where is sugabelly's dad in all these?

Career / Re: Should I Be Bothered About Leaving? by UkwuAmu: 1:57am On Nov 16, 2015
Steve Job was fired initially by Apple and was later re-engaged . You have shown qualities a lot of those who have been fired don't possess . We all make mistakes so sacking people because of one mistake is not the best way to go but thats what all you all have signed for. The fact that you are still there shows you are different . There is something they see in you that you haven't probably discovered about yourself . I have gone through all your post after seeing this post of yours and it doesn't take much to figure out that you are special and thats how the company sees you.
My only advice now is you should start thinking about working for yourself . Get the experience you need and do your own thing.
I tried to send an e mail request to you but naira land won't let me . please send me an e mail request . I got something to discuss with you.
Good luck and focus . You earned your place . Let your colleagues try to earn theirs

MathsChic:
I have a thing that has been bothering me recently, so I want to share with you to seek advice.

I work in a segment of the financial industry where, to put it succintly, you don't make a mistake. Better put, you shouldn't make a mistake. It's not advisable. If you do make one mistake, you are most certainly gonna get fired. Everyone understands this and tries their best to adjust.

Work is complex and full of numerous procedures you have to learn through and through. It is expected that you should understand these procedures and try as much as possible not to make a mistake associated with human error. Now, unfortunately, I made a nasty mistake some weeks ago. But the company didn't release me. Before now, I had contributed quite significantly to boosting company revenues through some direct actions I took, and also in developing some creative financial solutions to help save a lot of money. Some of these financial solutions my company has made into businesses. One time, I managed to wring out a significant deal out of a tough client, and the parent company based in Houston rewarded me for this with an award. My thinking is that, they are not firing me because of these past achievements. I can't be too sure, so I'm still bracing for impact smiley

However, the deal is, a lot of people in the office are really beefing me right now. Some people have made only half a mistake and have been immediately fired. Lately, a lot more have been fired for quite other weird reasons, especially as we started losing work from oil clients. And I'm still standing, so it seems.

I have a strong feeling of an unfriendly atmosphere around my colleagues; and I spot some refusal to associate with me, especially as some of those who have been fired were involved in the same issue for which I got not more than a slap on the wrist. I don't like the feeling I get from others, and I'm really thinking of leaving the company.

But I have no other offers or job at the moment to go to.
Education / Re: Dr Enoch Did Not Prove The Riemann Hypothesis. by UkwuAmu: 1:44am On Nov 16, 2015
Hello Karmanaut, I tried requesting sending you an e mail but nairaland won't let me. Please get in touch by sending me an e mail request. I got something to discuss with you .thanks

Karmanaut:
This afternoon as I was browsing Nairaland, I saw a post that claimed a Nigerian solved a 156-year-old mathematical problem. Naturally my curiousity was piqued and I clicked on the thread.

The post (which can be found on the front page) claims that a Dr Enoch Opeyemi "solved" the Riemann Hypothesis.
That was the first red flag: you either prove or disprove a conjecture, either way I chalked it up to bad reportage.

The article also said the "proof" was presented at the ICMS in Vienna on the 11th, which was weird as I didn't see any publication since then, moreover researching the ICMS that held on the 11th I found out that the lecturer's presentation is titled: "A matrix that generates the point spectral of the Riemann Zeta function" and mentions no proof of the Riemann Hypothesis.

First I haven't heard of any mathematician named Poly, the closest I got was George Polya, who didn't work on the Riemann Hypothesis.

Also a proof of the hypothesis does not affect cryptography in any way. Merely knowing if the Riemann Hypothesis holds or not doesn't help you construct any factorization method (although it can tell you a theoretical bound on how well a certain algorithm can run).

When I read that line I concluded that the news was most likely satirical.

Oando actually has 2 billion dollars loss . They have cooked that result as much as they could . If you buy at 5 Naira you will sell at 2 Naira . Concentrate on other equities

Greetings BNSITL , sorry for the long absence and my absence will continue. Run like you are going to die from Oando. I do not hate the company but only sentiments will not allow people to think clearly. The losses they will post will be monumental . you have been warned . I no know book
I posted this on the 9th of september. I have had running battles with some people here over oando. I have tried very much to caution myjoy about his ever optimistic advise and supposed inside connection and always put caveat when advising people to purchase stock. myjoy is not the one who get annoyed easily whatever you say to him. myjoy was heavily invested in oando and has been buying from when it was 28 and has been averaging down. That he has deactivated is a very dangerous trend . please somebody check on him and make sure he is okay .
They actually beat my expectation . The projected loss was 500 million dollars but they topped it .
oando has basically lost half of the money it paid for conocco phillip in less than a year . some people have started postulating nonsense that they want to crash the price . how many shares can they buy? why were they busy doing several private placements ? Oando board is made up of lawyers, very smart ones but it will go bankrupt eventually . paswelle, dex, elai and so many others warned . I am not here to tell you "i told you so" or rub salt on your wounds but to advise that we exercise caution.
I pray we all learn from this and stop relying on supposed "insiders" moves to make investment decision
please try and register on nigeriaretailinvestors.com . we are packaging a loaded website together and will attract the best analysts who can give valuable advise on how to invest in inclement times like these .
people who have insider dealing don't brag about it . its a big lesson for all

This is beginning to sound like a broken record. Are you saying that someone that bought FBNH @ N9 at this time is making the greatest mistake in their life especially if they have a time horizon of 12 months and above? Well I don't think so.

For you to believe what the newspapers say hook, line and sinker, I can assure you that some of your analysis/assumptions are flawed.

Sir Franklin make una free my guy Chibuking . Lets get along without retorting to curses and insults ( not any reference to you) . At the end of the day, you own , run and manage your portfolio . The guys is doing what works for him and people should do the same. Its a pity we all want everyone to think like us. we are different individually and lets respect that.
Let me ask you a question in relation to yours. Will you not be happier if you bought First bank at N7- N8 ? you can say its impossible but by the time you see the effect of your legislators scaling fence to get into their premises will do to the market in the coming days , you will see some sense in what he is saying. I am not advising anyone so please keep your recklessness to yourselves. You can buy what ever you want to buy
The russian market is the cheapest stock exchange at the moment . Cheaper than venezuela and lebanon but my money is not going there .

I sustain heavy loss in this Oando thing. I just bailed out. I buy future, with all what is happening I am seriously afraid of OANDO. I am hurriedly moving to FBN with limited guarantee. Oando has been falling before this heavy crack in the market. I hold the believe that the crack just accelerate the fall. I may be wrong but safety of my fund is important.

Why the hurry bro?

Spot on bro, spot on

I'm kinda surprised that I'm not moved to buy unlike before.

I noticed the yields on treasury bills and bonds have been dropping seriously which COULD be that the Foreign investors are buying fixed income securities with proceeds from equities.

Spot on bro.

U be veteran na . it takes a lot of maturity to hold money and do nothing . I do not want to buy at the lowest price . I want to buy at a low stable price. Its not like the market is going to regain all this losses in a month.

Cool down bruv...

Some people have sold and have cash in hand and their palms are itchy. They will throw the money in the market again and incur more losses . Irrational exuberance of the highest order . There is time to do nothing and just hold cash and the time is now.The falling of prices haven't started yet. there will be more falls . I am not sounding like a prophet of doom but just trying not to be emotional. You may think you would have made a bargain with what you are buying now but lets review these prices in 2 weeks .What has changed between yesterday and today? The Naira is still falling to the point where i think devaluation is the next option . Crude oil prices still falling, politicians hoarding and saving monies for campaigns. Some stocks are still overvalued, Foreign investors are selling off equities and people think the market is rebounding. This market will bottom off like 3 times before the real one. This is phase 2. Invest carefully. If you do you DD and with a little bit of luck, you will become a new millionaire .

We are a microsome of the market. Virtually all investors are the same in terms of greed and fear. An annoucement from CBN Governor or Minister of finance can calm frail nerves.
4DChair just as we are microsome to the market so is the CBN governor and and the minister of finance. do you think those 2 people are happy with what is going on in the market? The market is respecter of nobody . it has its own mind and there is a reason for the way it behaves. Nothing is working in the Nigeria stock market favour right now and no announcement will do jack . The race just begin. I feel sorry for those who are thinking they have lost money already it can't get worst. Sorry to burst your bubble. People will probably realize why people take their own live when they lose so much. wetting i sabi . After all its not my money and I am not a prophet.
This notion that you shouldn't invest money you can't afford to lose is very wrong and obsolete. Its like saying you shouldn't fly in an aircraft if you are not ready to die in an air crash or drive a car if you are not ready to die in a car accident . Seriously what is giving peeps false hope that this will soon be over? The Naira is falling, oil prices are falling, there is so much insecurity in the land, Boko have taken over some companies and cities, FPI are pulling out funds, election campaigns have not even started yet when politicians will order their stockbrokers to sell all the FBN shares even at 5 naira and sell their 100 million naira house in banana island for 10 million and yet people listen to advise that the market will soon stabilize. People are holding on to losses because prophet says its well . Even when Boko drops a bomb today majority of people will say its well . when you begin to fall into that its well group, you know you are finished
I will ask a simple question. lets say you are holding on to UBA at 4.66 today , supposing UBA falls to 2.33 if you sold wouldnt you have doubled your holdings? You think its impossible? A situation where even results do not even move the market shows the confidence has left the market .
PW,Mpi, Omoajo, Dexman, Elai , Agbola, Born, natrue ,charlesnerdman et al I hail all of una . I hope say una hold money . For those still holding on to your losses, I say cut the crap and keep your cash. Opportunities will always show up. you have the chance of buying 1 million units of first bank at 8 naira .
