I feel you . Suppose you do this. Sell all your holdings as it is now and take up all your rights at a lower price and use the change to add to your holdings and give benefit of the doubt to the company. There are certain people in that board who should give you some confidence but we all know the owner of Lagos Business Schools have succeeded in running a bank down even if people go there to learn how to run businesses . In that way I do not think you would have lost out at all or better still just sell your whole holding and keep your cash and wait for the perfect opportunity. Sometimes you need a lot of patience in the market . I am not comfortable with what they want to use the money for and I certainly do not want anybody using my monies to fund their election ambitions . If this was a saner clime, We would get Otti to declare his intentions . It could be a de-marketing strategy because we did not hear of this ambition until the Diamond rights thing came up and I do not think Otti has done too well in explaining what they intend to use the fund for . It looks more like a bank borrowing to themselves and using the bank funds. A lot of red flags but again what do I know ? Worse thing is investors relations is dead . if I could just ask the guy one question , it will be are contesting elections to be Governor or not . Do a little more digging , you might find answers. If you seek , you shall find. Good luck ifeykay: Diamond Bank Rights issue. Has anyone received his/her rights circular? |

E99E:Bros are you for real or you are joking ? Abeg free Oga agbalowo. Nothing the guy do. This is exactly what I said in my first post about not knowing what you are doing in the market . The so called Oga was so magnanimous that a few post ago he gave some wonderful picks which I am sure he must have reviewed again after seeing a couple of results today . He saw a wonderful opportunity and he plugged in and you are paranoid because he did no tell you when he was buying . How far na? If only you took time to ask him how he does his picks , you wont be mad that he is buying as you would have seen the opportunity too . However you seem to be more interested in somebody who will tell you to buy honeywell because there is something in the pipeline or buy Nestle because there will soon be a major acquisition . Even if the person is kind enough to let you know when he is buying, how would you know when to sell. There are some firebrand Ogas in this forum who know their stuff very well and even when they are dining with cowboys, they do it with very long spoon . If you try and have a rational discussion on stock picks, the next thing is people will be wishing bad because they think you are trying to talk down the stock . Oando to Eterna to Transcorp to Skyebank to Sterling just name it . Why are you buying apart from rumours about some supposed inside information? Why do you buy a stock? If you buy because other people are buying, you have a problem but if you buy a one Naira stock for fifty kobo then you know what you are doing. How do you do that? They are various parameters you use and by the time you include the necessary discount while making your valuation thereby incorporating a very wide safety of margin, chances are you will never go wrong . Abeg make una no dey make me write long essay . Feel free to ask any questions . Do not ask me what to buy if you are not ready to hold for a minimum of at least 2 years or more. If you can turn over the money that quickly good luck but when it goes wrong be kind enough to let us know you were burnt too 7 Likes |

Born2berich: Sir Born , You just re-iteraited all I said except of course not everything can be learnt in the forum . I dont know if you can learn technical analysis here . You can ask questions as to what to buy but when people who know what they are doing are selling, they wont tell you . I suppose you get my drift . 3 Likes |

immanuello: What is ur stance on the below equities pls. Oando@25.47,eternal@3.90 and most importantly sir, what do u hv for us on Nem anticipating 2013 result lateness.Hello all I am forced to comment again because we seem to be getting into a dangerous trend . since we are all BNSITL, I think sometimes we should be careful and caution ourselves when necessary. I like to thank Oga Myjoy for his unrelentless effort to give us some info but it must be clear now that we should not be basing our investments decision based on that because as you would have noticed the information do not always come out the way we want them . I am not removing anything from Myjoy's stock alerts . He always put his caveat that we should do our own diligence but when people come out to ask what direction the stock is going to go, You know its time to be afraid of your investment decisions. The problem here is with people who are looking for quick profits. They ultimately get burnt or keep hoping forever that one day the prophecy shall come to pass . Its very dangerous to be a trader as an individual investor when you do not know your technical analysis and when you cant read candles . I saw the panic yesterday when the NSE was down for less than 24 hours as people become sleepless because they want to check stock prices every 10 minutes . there are a lot of people here who know their onions . if you want clarification or you are just investing based on other people's stock pick, you can e mail them and ask them for advice. There is no shame in saying i do not know jack and I will appreciate if you can help me with knowing how to value a stock and what parameters we should be looking at for when we invest. I am sure they will help. By the calibre of their posting you can sniff them out. They come across as very unserious people and jokers but they are very knowledgable when it comes to the market . Sometimes its a good thing not to do anything in the market and just be in cash position Please do not misconstrue my post. Its not an attack on myjoy 08. The only thing is if anybody tells you he knows how Mr. market is going to react for sure, please run away faster than Usain Bolt. 11 Likes |

currentprice: There is a difference. Most people do not expect Oando to close the deal (not promising ) and in the end they close the deal (over deliver) . That is what the market likes. 4dchairman: What happened? Is the result below expectation? Can't just understand.4dchairman why you dey yarn like this na? it is better to under promise and over deliver than to over promise and under deliver . The hype and marketing of transcorp was too much. No need to be paying 2016 price in 2014. Sorry to burst anybody's bubble. This has become a pattern with transcorp. First quarter result was 'very' good and subsequently the share price started to plummet . Then the marketing started. it has repeated itself again. Do your due dilligence 4 Likes |

nitrogen: I hope nobody bought at #5.90 o, sentimental trading things and herd mentality. Guys were waiting for massive rally due to the result released, but it went the other way, and just one or two persons brought pressure on the the stock.A supposed good result and all of a sudden the cowboys are dumping and the consolation is do not panic. Is this a change of tune? Even with all the insiders report, you can't predict the market. When you beat your chest to say a stock is going up the market decides otherwise . the tune has changed from bring it on to do not panic . We are coming to that point where trading is going to be very dangerous . Give your heart some peace . Please no irrational response. 4 Likes |

Aks: Oando's stock price volatility always bring the best out of people shaaaaaaaaaaaaa. See long story, i have a question for you @ UkwuAmu and it goes thus: Why did u invest in Oando (Are you not aware of the no of outstanding shares)?Sir AKS I am a long term investor and I do not get carried away by Price movements. Remember People bought FO at 350 . Well it might interest you to know a lot of private placements have been done since this COP deal came up and this has led to very large amount of shares to be issued in the process so I do not really have control of that . Do not misconstrue my post . Investors sentiments will fuel a price rally .When the deal is consummated its a going to be a very patient wait for those invested in Oando. Volatility is not an attribute of a stable company . Lets learn to look at things dispassionately . 2 Likes |
