Romance / Re: She Stopped Talking To Me After She Found Out That I Drive On Uber by Umejiaku87(m): 12:36pm On Jan 26, 2023
Dailyparrot:

Reality will dawn on them on graduation. I have a sister that's a nurse working in a federal hospital. Trust me when I say that she's among the poorest in our family.

A roommate of mine when I was in year 1 took jamb and moved from Agricultural Economics to Pharmacy. To him then, he has hit a jackpot.

I graduated 2016 and finished my service 2018. Have been working since that time and have really done well for myself considering how short I've been in the labour market.

This my roommate just graduated and awaiting service. He's currently 32 years old and earning less than 90k a month where he's doing internship. The truth is, it will take him 3 to 5 years more to get to the level that I am currently.

Getting married is not an option for him at this time. In fact, his only hope of making it right now is to leave Nigeria. Of course, this has become the new normal. People finding escape route once it seems nothing is working for them here.

So, I've seen enough medical professionals around to tell that it does not guarantee more than just an average lifestyle.

It seems to me that you just cannot handle rejection. And this is a sign of serious complex issue.

Some things are wrong with this particular article. I see a man who lives in constant comparison with others. It's wrong to suggest you're better off someone else based on material things. I ask again, what is the true measure of success? I feel your fulfilment comes from seeing people do more badly than you.

"Reality will dawn on them on graduation." This sums up your personality and I'm glad the young lady took on her heels.

Learn to respect people's choices. Not everyone will accept you. You might have all the money in the world and still get rejected and vice versa.

Just as you alleged, if money is what gives her fulfilment, then move on and look for those that don't like money.
Stop these derogatory remarks just because a lady stopped talking to you. She will find exactly what she wants and will have a happy family and a good career. And I pray you find that which you also desire.

Pentecostal churches are the problems of this country.

They have configured, subjugated and brain washed the minds of their followes and creating followership without proper God's word.

You can as well refer to them as CEO of their churches( Company) and chairman board of directors in the church company business.

They are many Redeem, winners, mountain of fire, Iginla, house on the rock, synagogue...etc

These churches has made christianity a laughing stock in eyes of men and other religions.

Until all these churches are abolished, they will continue to work on minds of people with their tactics.

How’s this connected to the topic?

May God punish Oyedepo and all his fellow fraudsters. Religion is a tool for dividing humanity. We were born into this world innocently before our stupid parents enforced their useless religious beliefs on us making us believe whatever we practice is the right way. Muslims born and raised in Muslim homes thinks theirs is the true religion likewise Christians. Confusion at it's peak. Imagine a world without religion, love
and humanity would have prevailed. Nonsense angry

Well, all I can say is that before you buy anything, you have to do your research very well to ensure you're getting good the real price and avoid being ripped off. I have bought from jumia and I had no problem. Recently I discovered www.officesleek.com sells far cheap than what you see in other eCommerce stores. I shop with them and it's been good.

40x50? Metres or feet? What a useless question. And people are responding

Before you act intelligent of which obviously you're not, I think you should at least do some little research. You must not embarrass yourself all the time.

What is the connection with Nigeria changing and Pushcv?
samplanner:
exactly my thought. as far as I'm concern there is no one true acceptable format of a CV worldwide. all I know is that there are hundreds of CV formats worldwide and the best thing is that your CV should convey the information they need to know about you simple. Nigeria will hardly change.
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Please Be Warry Of Push-cv Schemings by Umejiaku87(m): 12:28pm On Mar 27, 2015
PushCV is a service that provides unlimited access to pre-screened and fully tested candidates for top employers and recruitment agencies. Can be likened to Jobberman among others. About the CV, when you feel your CV isn't professional enough, you can subscribe for their services for a fee. You absolutely made no sense on this lengthy write up.
hammer2010:
Just thought it wise and necessary to draw our attention to the on-going Push-CV recruitment/selection/elite programe quest.

Firstly, I must admit that I am the kind person who always critically look at situations, no matter who is involved. Even if the said situation involves my own pastor in the church, I dont just take it in hook, line, and sinker, without firstly examining it critically and objectively, in order to decipher the merits or otherwise.

Now when the Push-CV elite program advert was making the rounds on almost every social platform I came accross, by intuition, I initially had my doubts about the credibility of the program ( is there really any free launch in this part of the world? What is more, the adverts where comparable to that on the dreaded ebola virus). But then, I as always, relunctantly gave in to preasure from reasons and peers, and applied.

To make it short, I have since passed the initial stage (I believe it so, atleast for now) and proceeded to the second stage where you need to key in your educational information and the likes.

My attention was particularly drawn to the part where I was suppose to upload a CV. There were two options for this category: upload already created CV (recommended for professionals), and order a CV from us (conveniently recommended for the large army of students, Pre-NYSC, Post NYSC). Out of curiosity, I clicked on the second option just to be sure that I understood what they meant by the word "order." You already know the rest.

Now, that is the first part where I am joining issues with those behind this program. Come to think of how they took their time to give very compelling reasons why you should order a CV from them, got me thinking. Wouldnt it have been ideal if they gave tips (to those who for one reason or the other can not draft a good CV) on how best to prepare a good CV, rather than just cook a CV for a candidate?

Since its a program designed to make an unemployed person employable, how is this going to be possible if one (those who cant draft a good CV) doesnt even know the very fundamentals of a good CV drafting?

May be I am being unnecesarilly antagonistic here, but I still think it wont cost us a dime to punder on these few critical points befor going to pay a thousand naira to anyone.

Peace

Religion / Re: The Difference Between The Soul And The Spirit by Umejiaku87(m): 10:32am On Mar 01, 2015
Man in three dimensions : The Spirit, the soul and the body. The spirit man is the life line through which God speaks to you.. The soul represents your Emotions, intellects, feelings.. This determines how you relate with the environment. The body is the earthen vessel which houses the spirit and the soul.... That
is the FLESH. The devil speaks to you through the flesh. When one dies, the spirit goes to God for judgement, the earthen vessel is buried which is the flesh.. Then you will be remembered for your either good works or bad works which is the soul of man. When Bible says the soul belongs to God, it's actually referring to the spirit.
