Politics › Re: Anambra: SE Opposition Governor, INEC Commissioner In $4 Million Bribery Mess by UnabashedIPOB: 2:35pm On Oct 16, 2021
The upcoming gubernatorial elections in Anambra state may be seriously compromised as plans to manipulate the electoral exercise have been concluded. Fresh information made available to POLITICS NIGERIA indicates that a certain South-east Governor, currently in opposition, has doled out a hefty sum of $4 million (more than 2 billion Naira) to ensure that his favoured candidate takes the reigns of power in Anambra state come November 6th.

This is your ONE LIEGERIA. And you want citizens to validate such political jiggery-pokery by going out to vote when the outcome of the election had already been pre-determined. This is the more reason that Anambrarians should sit this one out and NOT participate in such a charade.

I think your problem is the inability to read and comprehend..
There is a difference between top 10 countries to invest in Africa and top 5 countries that have ACTUALLY received highest FDI weather they are attractive or not..

The top 5 African countries best for investment doesn't necessary mean they received their investment by that order of measurement..

Weather Nigeria falls on the list of most attractive or not can not and will not rule out the fact that it will remain the top earners of FDI in Africa simply because of it huge diaspora and market..

Many of the points that will be highlighted in those links will be relating to the ease of doing business..but investors don't stop there...they look at major areas like market which no one beats Nigeria in Africa..resources.. As well as how they can recoup their capital and profit quickly..

U don't have to be sentimental about the truth...Nigeria has always been a major hub for FDI..but my stand is that it should be number 1...

Bail is not guaranteed, it's up to the judge. Even in the US, two people can have the same offense and one might get bail while the other does not.

That's a very bold statement to make and it's technically NOT correct unless if put in the right context. The Judge ordinarily sets a bail amount when a suspect first appears in court after an arrest, which is called either a bail hearing or an arraignment. Judges normally adhere to standard practices...for example, setting a low bail for nonviolent petty misdemeanors. However, a judge can deny bail under certain conditions including: Repeat offender, threat to the Public safety, flight risk, missing court dates and the severity of the crime. Furthermore, crimes like first, second and third degree Murder, Rape, Manslaughter, etc. are major crimes that do not allow bail. They are treated differently as compared to minor crimes.

I disagree with the author of this article. There's no person that can FIX that country. Even Jesus Christ can NOT fix it because the rot in the the system is beyond comprehension and the foundation on which the country was built was purposely designed to FAIL. TripleOh7:
I'll address the phrases you highlighted.

1.

20 Nigerian pounds. Good. In the history of wars, have you ever seen one side compensating the enemy after the war? Even if it was 1 pound, that was generous.

Now, you have just shown your lack of knowledge. It seems like you enjoy revisionist history. Who told you the 20 pounds was for compensation? Before the war, Igbo families had much more than 20 pounds left in their bank accounts. It was merely a paltry payment for the huge sums of money that was left in their bank accounts.. So, I hope you get your facts straight before you start exposing your ignorance.

2.

That was and is a statement of fact. At the time of that war, starvation was a strategic way of forcing a quick submission and end to the war.
Go and check the pictures from the war. Ojukwu and family looked very robust and healthy while his people starved. He could have stopped the war but he wanted his people to starve to death so that he could gain the sympathy of the outside world.

There you go again running away from the issue. You were the one who brought Awolowo into the mix, telling me how he paid 20 pounds and much more to Igbos. Then when I responded with facts you have no response other than to say it is a factual statement. The issue was not whether his statement was factual or not. I guess, you have no clue what the rules of engagement are according to the Geneva Convention. But I am not gonna lecture you on that here.

3.

Read to comprehend. I mentioned more than one reason for the dispersal of Igbo people from the east. Not just erosion. You are comparing the state of New York to Alaigbo. Lol. You are hilarious. Even IF you had the capacity to erect a skyscraper in Igboland, who would be foolish to do so on a land that is gradually being washed away by serious gully erosions?

I do read and comprehend very well...but do you? Because if you do, you would have understood that I did touch on all three seasons that you adduced but I guess they went over your head. It's very obvious that you lack a sense of analogy. My veil refence to NY City does not mean a comparison to Igbo land. It was only to inform you that having a huge land mass never equates to huge population, opportunities and rate of development. After all, you were the one that said that Igbos are emigrating to other areas because of lack of land due to erosion. As for erosion, every state in LIEGERIA has one form of disaster or another. Some have flooding and others have erosion including Ogun State in the West, Edo State and in the Niger Delta regions as well. So, please do not tell me about gully erosion as if to say it's restricted only to the Southeast. Watch the videos at the link below and see for yourself.

4.

Igbos have always been in alliance with the government at the center. ALWAYS. The only time you guys started playing the opposition was in 2015 when Jonathan lost and it has been bitter wailing since then. You'll need to ask yourselves why you haven't done anything for yourselves if you've always been at the center of power for most of Nigeria's democracy as well as some of its military rule.

It is really sad when one is totally bereft of the truth. Please, do not say out loud the nonsense that you just said about Igbos being in the center of power most of Nigeria's democracy and military rule. It's either you are being mischievous or you're downright ignorant and clueless about what's really going on in and around your environment.

Don't blame the Yorubas or ethnicities for that please.

I am not sure where the above sentiment that you expressed came from. Like I said earlier you probably have issues with reading and comprehension. Where in my piece did I blame Yorubas and other ethnicities? I guess you're confusing my reminding you of Awolowo's statement during the war as blaming Yorubas. That's far from it.
Politics › Re: Reno Omokri: There Are Other Ethnic Nations More Tribalistic Than Fulani by UnabashedIPOB:
TripleOh7:
That's a big lie.

As a matter of fact, the minister of finance during the war, Chief Obafemi Awolowo kept all the allocations due to the Eastern region to be given back to them after the war besides the 20 pounds sterling that was given to every Igbo at the time.

The reason why Igbos have a lot of population outside their enclave is because

1. They love making money a lot (who doesn't?) and there seems to be greener pastures in other parts of the country where it must be noted that the major attraction of these places to the Igbo is because they don't have the same Shylock attitude to business that the average Igbo trader has. The dog-eat-dog attitude when it comes to business and money.

2. The Eastern region which is Igbo enclave is so small

3. Their land is badly ravaged with terrible gully erosions which seem to be eating away at the region. Which is quite unfortunate.
First off, what in my piece according to your response is a big lie? Please, do NOT tell me anything about Awolowo giving Igbos more money than the 20 Nigerian pounds...not pound sterling because that's a bold face lie and very insulting to the intelligence of every Igbo family that went through that ordeal. We are all aware what roles people from different ethnic groups played during and after the war against Igbos, Okay! Who coined the phrase "The weapon of war is starvation" and it became a government policy that was used to starve and kill millions of Biafran children? So, please spare me the agony and let's deal with facts here and not make beliefs and innuendos. That aside, one of the reasons why Igbos have a greater population outside of Igbo land according to you is because, "Their land is badly ravaged with terrible gully erosions which seem to be eating away at the region." That reasoning is far from the truth. Before the war and the erosion problems now ravaging some parts of Igbo land, a large number of Igbos were living in different parts of the country outside the Eastern region (southeast and south-south). However, a greater number still resided in the Eastern part of the country not until after the war and the introduction of the scorched earth economic policies of the Federal Government of LIEGERIA. It's in the nature of Igbo people to travel and it has absolutely nothing to do with their land mass. Let me remind you that the State of New York which has a land mass of 47,224 sq. miles, has a population of 19,378,102 while Montana, with a land mass of 145,556 sq. miles has a population of 989,415. So, land mass has absolutely nothing to do with Igbos migrating to other parts of the country, rather it has everything to do with the economic policies of successive governments of the country instituted to destroy the economy of the southeast. Have you ever asked yourself, "Why were all the seaports in the Eastern zone (Port Harcourt, Onne, Warri and Calabar) closed?" If you would take time to answer that question, then all your reasons why Igbos migrate to other places would simply fall like a deck of cards.

Nice points and yes they are all true if I should be honest so I can’t dispute them bt I can only try and explain why they might have happened or why thing played out like that.

The war was unnecessary bt it happened and Igbo have part responsibility for it happening sadly it didn’t end in their favor. That means it will take some time to integrate them back into the country’s system. This is partly a reason for some of the setbacks. Bt mind u there are many Igbos who were interested in the civil war and didn’t even want to return to the SE. they only left Lagos/other regions cos they were latter hunted.

Another reason is the general attitude of Igbos and their willingness to integrate, their trustworthiness post war and mind u any region that fights a war and loses will not get full development or support from Fg for awhile.

Positioning: the south east is landlocked hence no wet port can be situated there.

Sabotage: Igbos don’t know when to shelve their arrogance and work together even amongst themselves they are not very supportive unless it’s in personal business where u serve under a master and they get settled. In political interests they clash for superiority amongst themselves even when they know they are already at a disadvantage from federal.

Other regions cooperate more than Igbos. Igbos are too individualistic probably due to lack of leadership among them. Even if a leader is good other will sabotage him because of other interests at stake.

So u can’t just blame all the problems of the SE on the government.
Another reason is the general attitude of Igbos and their willingness to integrate, their trustworthiness post war and mind u any region that fights a war and loses will not get full development or support from Fg for awhile.

This is only applicable in LIEGERIA. America fought a civil war and the south lost but there's no distinction between the north and the south. They are all Americans. After the war in that damned country, the mantra was...No victor, No Vanquished but that was in words only and worthless like a piece of paper it was written on. The Anambra State Police Command has arrested a suspected gunman for attacking a Police patrol team in Eke-Awka Market, Awka, Anambra State, on Monday. A source who begged not to be mentioned in the print told Tribune Online that the suspect, on sighting the police patrol vehicle, brought out his cutlass and other dangerous weapons and started chasing the police officers with a loud shout, “go back home, today is sit-at-home in Biafra Land, go home and observe the day.”

This is actually what's wrong with the LIEGERIAN Media and Press. How can a person be speaking from both sides of their mouth at the same time? How can you report that the police arrested a suspected gun man for attacking their patrol vehicle on one hand and then at the same time report that the same gun man was chasing the police with a cutlass. So, which one is it? Did the man attack the Police patrol team with a gun and then later on in the attack switched to a cutlass and chased after them? Or is that the reporter is so dumb and highly compromised that he could not get his lies straight? It's a shame that citizens can NOTrely on the media to give them the true story because they have been so compromised.
