ExplorerReturns: The Organization of Emerging African States (OEAS), an international governmental organization that promotes self-determination and the end to colonial era boundaries in Africa has petitioned European Union High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security, Federica Mogherini, on the issue of the Biafra Referendum. The OEAS asked the European External Action Service to utilize its good offices to help prevent a cataclysm of immense proportions in Nigeria by supporting the Biafra Referendum on Self Determination and its preconditions including a stand down of federal armed forces and the immediate release of Biafran activists from jail. The EU High Representative is reminded that the EU cannot afford to see a massive conflict in Africa’s most populous country with the largest economy and military. “Nigeria is already reeling from decades of corruption and an apparently unstoppable ISIS led Boko Haram insurgency,” OEAS said in a statement, noting that, “Biafrans at Ontisha have chosen Liberty and will even face death if necessary to achieve their basic human rights of self-determination.” “Ms. Mogherini is in the position of stopping a potential human catastrophe of Biblical proportions before it begins by prevailing on President Buhari to allow democracy to take its course,” the statement read.

[quote author=EVILFOREST post=40795318]Yeaaaa we really know. IGBOS and those agitating for BIAFRA should know that we are not doing badly as Igbos. After all, this same TRIBE embarked on a ravaging CIVIL WAR, came out Of it still, energetic and Stronger .
This is what keeps me going as an IGBO man. We have grown to challenge people who betrayed and oppressed us ACADEMICALLY, despite the war. We went further to overtake many. That's why the ENVY is brewing.
We punish the EARTH by erecting edifices every corner of this country with the believe we are Nigerians, yet we are treated with disdain and levity. A typical IGBO man is more of a true Nigerian than any other neighbour.
Did I hear u right?YOUR BEAUTIFUL LADIES or what did u say.while your your so call beautiful ladies are the most useless and cheapest ladies in africa.pls take a move to Benin republic,Togo,Burkina faso or cote d'ivoire.where your igbo ladies gives their sex in exchange for petty CFA.and some of this petty CFA goes to their boys counterpart who are also in to another odd job,Yahoo Yahoo. What a shame. |

KELECHUKWU89: Behold Onitsha Central Mosque That is burnt. Eediotsssssssssss You, you and you Several bad things have happened to the igbo in the North. No one offered explanations for them. Several churches have been burnt without cause. Suddenly, no mosque was burnt down but the igbo is explaining and trying to expose the lies of mosque being burnt. Do you know why? Because we ate a different breed. This is another reason we do not belong here. In a country where a building is worth more than human lives. So the mosque is burnt abs eleven hours later, none of you rumour peddlers has the a picture except that of a kiosk. This is yet another lie busted. It's becoming nauseating for tissue brained northerners to think these lies are being countered out of fear. No, we are different. Go home and touch a single igbo hair so you can see real reaction this time around. And to Nigerian security forces shooting at unarmed protesters, there is a place called Borno, your services are needed there. Self determination is valid.......NON SENSE why can't u people call spade a spade.weather the mosque got burnt or not, as it is seen on those pics, what was the real intention of those who did that if not to burn the mosque? |

These birds of a feather don't flock together because religious understanding is diminishing among the youths.
Religion should promote our peaceful coexistence and not otherwise. i do not know which group of ethnic you belong.but I am very impressed with your comment.this shows that we still have a number of intelligent people, even though a very few in this nation.I am a yoruba man and i live in Burkina.but I can assure you that here in Burkina.we are coexisting peacefully. I mean .the yorubas igbos and hausas. |

silkytouch: Nigeria is a funny place, where whatever happens in/with one region of the country gives those in other regions ample opportunity to bash and make tribalistic comments. Those of you making unreasonable and generalizing comments about the Igbo tribe/SE becoming violent and all that, especially the lady that was first to comment on this post, who even went as far as saying she wouldnt date an Igbo guy even if she was paid to. I just pity our unborn generation because the hate seems to grow stronger with each passing generation. Now for those uneducated comments, I ask you, do you actually know what happened there at that particular MTN office that got people so riled that they decided to start pelting the MTN office with stones and all whatnot? Imagine standing in the hot sun for hours just to get your line unblocked and not being attended to because the staff of that particular MTN office chose to attend to certain people based on "who they are" and then totally ignoring those who "arent anybody" nor know anybody in that office, you feel what am saying? If you dont appear rich and influential or have a commanding presence, you wont be allowed in and attended to, who you know became a yardstick for attending to customers because the number of people whose lines were blocked had grown so big and to make matters worse, the staff at the top floor office decided to pour water on these already aggrieved customers who have been standing in the sun. Imagine the disrespect, imagine the embarrassment, now imagine you were one of those people that water were poured on, imagine being insulted in such manner and tell me you wont react. in a so call civilized community, nothing justifies such barbaric act. |

akksplendor: The Igbo village is located in Staunton, Virginia, USA. According to one of the organizers Basil Okafor, "The State of Virginia and US government recognize the Igbos as one of the early slaves who settled in Virginia." See more photos below...http://www.splendormag.com/2015/10/photos-inside-igbo-village-virginia-usa.html but what's so special about that.OYOTUNJI ,a yoruba village was created in south Carolina several years back. and for more information. Obama's wife is a native of that village. oya make you people start browsing to prove me wrong. |
