Go and check the standard of the bridge Ajimobi did after Idi Osan to Oremeji

With all the votes he got from Egbeda and the support he had around Alajameta Idi Obi, Idi Osan axis even to Gbagi... Absolutely nothing after two years
Ajimobi really tried during his tenure. But I cant do but notice the recent beautification I am seeing in Ibadan.

PoliticsDo You Also Receive A Call From Seyi Makinde The Governor of Oyo State? by UncleAyo(op):
I received a call from Engineer Seyi Makinde Governor of Oyo state. The caller asked me to state where we need the Governor's intervention in my community. I told the caller about the bridge along Idi-Osan/Para road that has been broken for more than three years without any hope for repair. The road is the major road to this community. I hope he will do something about it soon.

Do you also receive a call from Engineer Seyi Makinde?

***EDITED: I have checked once again. You can only change the DS160 confirmation number. I am sorry for the error.

University name is no longer available

YOU ARE CORRECT

**********

I am sorry, but these details are still editable on my profile and I currently have a date scheduled already.... maybe I am just lucky....

I wouldn't want us to argue this any further. Thanks for your contributions anyway.

tiptoe1:
My reply is true, I didn't say you can't fill another ds-160. I said you can't fill your new sevis ID of the new school you're trying to change to.

How will you fill another Sevis ID in the appointment page after you change your school? Or have you forgotten you were asked to input your sevis ID, school name and zip code when you were about booking an appointment?

area74, you can't change your school again, I don't know if cancelling your appointment will reset it to the beginning for you to fill your new school sevis ID, name and zip code and you pick a date again

Log in to your account and click on the update button. You can edit every information as long as it is not 72hours to your schedule interview date.

Note: that you can edit everything except for your name and passport number which is no longer editable

area74:
Good afternoon.

Please how can I effect a change or delete an already submitted DS-160 form. I just received a better offer in another school and wish to take that to the embassy.

Please note that the SEVIS and the visa fees have been paid and appointment has been secured at the embassy.

I will appreciate contributions from everyone.

EDITED: I have take my time to check again. tiptoe1 is correct for the statement.

Your reply is not true. I have schedule an appointment currently and the update button on my profile is still active and all details are editable.

You may only be penalise if you edit your profile at 72hours before your interview date.
tiptoe1:
Since an appointment has already been secured at the embassy, you can't change your school. The appointment page won't let you update and fill in another Sevis ID of the new school you got a better offer from.
It is only my name and my passport number that is no longer editable

I had to mute my phone so as not to be disturbed by sound of incoming messages and I'm also into computer programming.... staying indoor and alone without getting bored is a great mystery some people finds difficult to believe.

I don't feel bored when inside. I play the guitar, I play the keyboard, I have many online courses I've registered for; keeping me busy... so where will the boredom come from. sometimes, I often take breaks from the internet so as to become focused.

I don't know if I should consider myself as an introvert anyways.

It got to a time when my next neighbours begin to welcome me as if I just returned from a long journey, unknown to them I that I am always i door.

Whenever I go out, I don't find it difficult relating with people. but once I'm home, I will be i door till next day...

Ehiscotch:
Every loan has to go to the NASS for approval, and China won't borrow you money without you request going through due process.

Listen forget all these economists and technocrats who are deceiving you that Nigeria can look inwards and progress without borrowing. They are trying to sound astute and intelligent. Bro, you need money to develop your economy and not with the recurrent expenditure and the kind of citizens who engage in low and high level corruption. But with these kinda long term loans we can progress a little.

Even Dangote refinery is being built with loans and counterpart funding, I think.

What I am saying is, borrowing from China is not bad but I am against excessive borrowing.

Keep in mind that these funds are not going through government or any ministry but directly to the contractors.
I believe in borrowing money to do (business) national projects too but considering the way Nigeria is spending money, e.g 64billion for fencing a university, primary school student home feeding program, Npower and other on-paper project... I think it is better to start spending the little we think we have properly first before looking outside.

and wait, what do you think is preventing us from becoming the manufacturing and tech center for other African country. why the waste of manpower (human resources) of the teeming young and smart population of Nigeria.

The Nigeria I look forward to is a country where we train people and build factories to produce:
large quantity of footware and cloths for young adults
automobile
tech-products
processed foods
high quality home and office products among others and export them to other african countries, atleast

The point I was trying to make is that our parents are complicit in the suffering going on. Just look around you and see the number of children we are still blindly or selfishly bringing into the world. To share this miserable life that we have created for ourselves?
You are correct for that, and that (apart from incessant rigging of elections) they have contributed to the continued election of our current leaders.

Apologies accepted!

Do you know that the USA is in debt?

The citizens even complain about it's indebtedness. I am not defending politicians but borrowing is not at all bad especially with little interest rates.

You can easily criticize government officials from the comfort of your homes but believe you me even if you are put there you won't build anything with the system we have in place ( top to bottom corruption).

I understand your concern but this loan is not in the least bad at all as the money will be paid directly to contractors.
I understand your opinion too, but we as citizen don't know the many loan this government has taken and will still take whose method of delivery may not be like the china's.
Also this current government has recently engage in reckless and unecessary spending and cannot be trusted for any single thing.

I have seen ignorance displayed by Nigerians severally but not so foolishly.
Like I can understand when you jump up and down and rattle about government policies and I can deal with political prejudice; but this, this beats me like how in the world can't you understand the simple details of a loan?

Like how can y'all look yourself in the mirror and be brazenly ignorant and loud, wa wu!!

First, the money meant for the project will be paid DIRECTLY to the contractors and not to Buhari nor Amaechi neither NDDC or EFCC and Nigerian would only provide counterpart funding.

The "sovereignty" here is a big word for "collateral". And it is even a simple one, if Nigeria can't pay back the Chinese will takeover the asset until they recover the money. They can't take the asset back to their country or take over Aso Rock.

If you, you, you borrow somebody money won't you ask for collateral. If the person can't pay through shortcomings won't you find a means of recovering your cash.

Let us sit and think. I hate to go this route trust me, but we need to instill the truth to people.
Hi sir, Mr. Intelligent. what we are saying is this.... both Nigeria and china are a Nation, China could look inward and become lenders to other nations. If not to nations, why can't Nigeria become lenders to other African country (With all the wealth and natural resources).

Mr. Rotimi Amechi lied about his loose explanation of the "sovereignty" clause. it is more dangerous than the collateral he called it.

We have thiefs and dull heads in the form of politicians as leaders in Nigeria

they have no shame

When he is sick he runs to the UK or USA for treatment

when its time to educate his children he send them abroad to study

Now Nigeria (a nation) is borrowing from another nation using the future of the youths and their children to be.

If china kept borrowing from the USA and not look inward, will it be where it is today?

If leaders of the nations abroad are dullhead and thief like many of our politician, will they have great universities and health institution to run to when you are sick?

Nigeria need to look inward and empower it young people (not through the fruitless Npower program). We need to create systems for betterment.

Instead of taking loan, let look at countries of the world and compile succesful systems they have created and see how we can imcorporate them here!

lets gather ideas, lets engage the Nigerian youths, the Intelligent ones and gather ideas

Covid 19 & Schools Resumption: Open Letter To Engr. Seyi Makinde

Dear Governor, HE Engineer Seyi Makinde, it is very obvious that Covid19 will be here with us till 2021 whether a vaccine is discovered tomorrow or next week. With regard to the above assumption, alternatives should be put in place for revivication of student's education in the state and I have the following proposal for opening of schools in the state:

 1. Decongestion of (student population in) schools should be done by creation of morning and afternoon school periods. Students should be divided into these classes.

2. Culposory use of nose mask by all students.

3. Compulsory use of sunglasses by students to protect them from getting invected when a person sneezes on their face.

4. Provision of handwash kits for every school and for students use - with a dedicated persons incharge to operate, mandate and monitor its use.

5. Organization of sensitization and awarenenss programs or student assemblies about covid19.

-- The proposal above should be started with secondary school students first and also, senior students of the primary schools.

6. Students in higher institution should incoporate the above, but may conduct lectures through online videos
(operations; something similar to the distant learning progran (NOUN) but all student must be within school environment to take and submit assignments)

I hope you will discuss my suggestions with the Oyo covid19 taskforce.

Thanks.

I am Samleen and I write from Ibadan.
