Nigerians have been using credit cards for the last 10 years.
Some banks like UBA, Unión bank, First Bank will give credit cards to ALL government employers, including the military regardless of their status at work. Companies rated A+ eg SPDC also have credit cards offered to their staff. The reason is this category of people are less likely to run off and disappear because of a loan.
Good info. But I wish everybody in Nigeria can use credit cards, especially now that inflation is worse.

Why is Nigeria not using the credit card system? Are Nigerians less human?

There is also mobile checking in other countries where you can use a mobile phone to cash a check by just taking the picture of the check.

Don't you think, overtime, it may be legalized if weed is legalized?
I don't think so. I'm advocating for cannabis legality because its health benefits far more outweight its percieved disadvantage. My focus is not to compare it with any other human made chemical.

Jakumo:
Lawmaker Princess Onuoha of Okigwe North is the author of the Nigerian Cannabis Control Bill of 2020, which aims to decriminalize medical marijuana in Nigeria. Sadly, that enlightened and brave Amazon warrior woman stands virtually alone in her legitimate quest for legislative sanity in Nigeria.

Ondo State Governor "Aki" Akeredolu is the only other political figure who has consistently espoused the medical and economic benefits of legalized medical marijuana. One can only hope that other timid Nigerian politicians will set aside their fears, and join the side of rational thinking exemplified by Princess Onuoha and Governor Akeredolu.
That is why I will try and keep this thread active and constantly update it with much more educational content.

Did you notice the other thread about recent NDLEA response to use of cannabis? I think that may be part of effect of a thread like this one.

I may consider the herb tea form very much later for an experiment.

Jakumo:
You got that right. Alcohol is legal to consume, yet has zero medical application, and is responsible for overdose and drunk driver deaths that run into the thousands annually. Cigarettes are pure poison with no medical benefit at all, yet are legal for those who wish to kill themselves with nicotine poisoning.

Ironically, marijuana in its pure form with no added chemical poisons has never once in recorded medical history caused one single overdose death, while also delivering numerous medical benefits, continues to be demonized and made illegal for no rational reason at all.
I just wish the eye of many Nigerian policy makers will be open reading this thread

NDLEA and the Nigerian authorities should wake up and stop being sentimental about cannabis's medical use.

Even though they think it is illegal, cannabis is as available as water in Nigeria. You only need to ask the right person.

Depriving medical use of cannabis base on tendency for abuse by ordinary people hold no water. It is readily available everywhere and can easily be purchased.

Why Did You Open A Domicilliary Account?

For me, I was not even concerned with the the bad rate (of 365NGN/USD) that banks used to convert my dollar whenever I use the payoneer ATM card to withdraw on their machines. My Issue is with the inability to make payment for advertisement  due to the100USD/month spending limit policy by the CBN.

The CBN made the policy to limit international spending (with the local atm) which prevented me from making payments for the online advertisement I made during that time.

And if the Nigeria government will forcefully convert my dollar savings into naira, I will have to withdraw my dollar savings and keep in a piggy bank. I'll also stop sending money to the domicilliary account from my foreign earnings.

GUESS WHAT’S IN YOUR MARIJUANA?

Cannabis, or marijuana, is a complex plant that has psychoactive and medicinal elements. It contains more than 480 naturally occurring ingredients, including at least 65 unique chemical structures called cannabinoids found in the actual plant.

What are some of the other components, you ask? Read on to find out:

Tetrahydrocannabinol
Otherwise known as “THC,” this is the major psychoactive ingredient in marijuana that gets you high, comprising up to 30 percent of the cannabis plant. THC doesn’t naturally occur in its active form, but rapidly converts from THC acid (THCA) when burned in a cigarette or heated in cooking, in a heat-propelled reaction called decarboxylation. Not much is known about THCA, but experts have found that is an effective therapeutic agent that has been used to reduce pain, relieve nausea and stimulate appetite.

Cannabidiol
Cannabidiol, or CBD, is the second most popular and well-known ingredient in cannabis. Prevalent in hemp varieties of cannabis, it actually lacks any noticeable psychoactive effects and works in concert with THC to decrease any of its psychoactive effects. If taken by itself, CBD is a pain reliever that has anti-inflammatory properties and is effective at reducing the frequency of seizures, mitigating anxiety and improving wakefulness. Unfortunately, most marijuana that’s sold to consumers has significantly lower levels of CBD because growers tend to selectively breed out the enzyme in order to produce more mind-altering levels of THC.

Cannabinol
The third most common cannabinoid is Cannabinol, or CBN, which is a byproduct of the chemical breakdown of THC after the plant is exposed to oxygen or heat. Though it lacks the strong psychoactive and medicinal qualities of THC and comprises less than one percent of cannabis, even a small amount of the CBN can have a significant, sedating effect.

Cannabigerol
Recent studies have reported on the potential medicinal value of Cannabigerol, or CBG, another ingredient that only amounts to about one percent of cannabis. For instance, studies have shown it to delay the progression of neurodegenerative diseases, as well as reduce cancer cell growth in mice.

Terpenoids
In addition to cannabinoids, marijuana contains over 100 terpenoids, which produce the unique aroma and flavor of marijuana. Researchers believe that terpenoids may also display therapeutic effects, as well.

Interestingly enough, however, there are different types of cannabis, and marijuana users have reported experiencing different highs and medicinal effects for each. This is largely due to the different chemical concentrations of cannabinoids and terpenoids in every type of marijuana.
