Bollinger: personally I blame you. you kind of talk too much. you have to realize that 95% of traders here lose money, including me, which is why I am taking it slow with trading. I have learnt and lost a lot. I have learnt not to trust people who make ridiculous claims when it comes to forex. I have learnt that traders here secretly pray for others to fail since they are failing. very few succeed in this business but can't stand this thread, case in point odiaero. bad belle has driven him away. others adore the sychophancy ''cough cough'' naijababe, unclenna. I have a talent for smelling fake. prove me wrong and link up your accounts to myfxbook to show your trading history. I don't know why this is so hard to do. it shows tranparency. anyway, I digress. just post your alerts toks and forget about the analysis. this will reduce your headache.

He has asked this same rhetoric question and i have giving him very clear answers but because of his type of person i guess he cant seem to see the good side of things but always looking for ways to bring others down and i have come across his type many times so people like him don't even bother me. Now for you to write about the EA not making profit today goes a long way to show that you are either a novice in this business or outright pessimist. For the records i believe i should be proud of myself sharing a strategy which is open and accessible to the public to follow and not just a noise maker that comes to a thread and shout about having a profitable system making tons of pips or sending signals that the sender cant give proof of profit/loss.

I am a practical oriented fellow and i don't believe in claiming to be what i am not.

I actually left the 20pips hacker EA today to see how it will react during news release or crazy moves and this is the essence of testing and even many traders will agree that this Friday was exceptionally crazy.And this has made me to get the best observation and necessary areas of improvement.

So for you to write here asking why the EA did not make profit today goes to show the level of your understanding in this business.

Nevertheless friends.

After about 40 trading days of testing the 20pips hacker 940pips was banked with 15% profit made.Nevertheless I have observed the errors and areas of improvements such as.

1. Not having more than 3 maximum positions opened towards a specific direction at any point in time.

2. Adding a pips locker function on the EA to lock 20pips in progressive manner and give room to make more pips in a fast moving trend rather than pin the target to 20pips. This means that the ea will lock 20pips in series so if price moves in my favor with 23pips,20pips get locked and if it moves even higher to 43pips, the lock pip feature will move another 20pips higher to lock 40pips but i may place a maximum tp pips to 50.

3.Increasing the standard stop loss which is modifiable to allow even crazier moves yet risking not more than 2% per trade position and still maintaining maximum open position of 3.

4.Removing the hedge option so that at any point in time we will have maximum number of 3 positions.No more hedging.

In view of this, i will be halting the test account and open a new live account which will be accessible on myfxbook where the trade history will be made public but you will not be able to view open positions.

Thanks to every trader especially Non Nigerian traders who have giving me very useful recommendations.

You misunderstood me...how can you make a contribution and recommendation when you don,t understand the basis the EA use to open positions......I wonder how your foreign partners have been contributing without the knowledge of how the EA works....Abi de be magicians.......Am developing an EA and I will like it to benefit everyone.....once it is out I will tell everyone in the house including you ..so that together we will back test and forward test it in other to make it a better EA for the benefit of all....Cheers.

Zeddicus: While playing around with the deviation on the BBstops over the weekend, I noticed that the default was better at limiting the number of false breaks. On the flipside,it signals breaks late and unless the market is really moving hard,one must have missed the action.
The deviation 1 however throws up more signals but requires adequate filtering and intuition to avoid getting hurt.
So which do you use and why?

Try deviation 2, length 20...............it all depends on your trading style....

Bollinger: The above is the best post on the forum so far. And to add to it, post your alert and keep quiet. If anyone follows it and makes money from it then always like the comments of the contributor. The more likes you get the more you are rated as a credible contributor on the forum. Or better still, everyone here should link their live accounts (keyword being live)to myfxbook and post results weekly or monthly as the case may be. This would weed out pretenders from players. In my case I am an astronaut, a former president of a country, an ex navy seal, etc but who cares, right?
