payless: Pls, stop arguing for God sake! I graduated from pry 6 to JSS1 in 1989-90. 6:3:3:4 started in 1990. I was part of the set that sat for the first common entrance examination in Nigeria. You claimed Kanu did not graduate from secondary school in 1989 with your bogus proof. He graduated in 1989 and I heard him say it to Larry Izamoje in 1996 interview on NTA.http://m.facebook.com/pages/Holy-Ghost-College-Owerri-Imo-State-1991-Class/124338444295540?id=124338444295540&refsrc=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.facebook.com%2Fpages%2FHoly-Ghost-College-Owerri-Imo-State-1991-Class%2F124338444295540&_rdr |
logica: You probably got it wrong. The last set before 6:3:3:4 actually graduated in 1989 and not 1990.No. The last set was 1988. My set was the second to do 6:3:3:4. We graduated 1991. No set graduated 1989. |
payless: Michael Essien enstranged father also claimed Essien is 37 years old. Imagine Samuel Eto claiming to be 30 wheareas he played at USA '94 at the age of 17. Kanu Nwakwo graduated from secondary school in Owerri in 1989 but he claimed he was 16 during Under 17 World Cup in Japan 1993. All these Nigerians and African players need to stop cheating. You sounded so sure I thought you had your facts right. Kanu Nwankwo could not have left secondary school in 1989 because nobody in the old Imo State graduated from secondary school that year. The set started the 6:3:3:4 system in Imo state and spent six years in secondary school instead of five. They graduated 1990. Nwankwo for your information graduated 1991. |
Pseudocyesis is when a woman that is not pregnant insists she is pregnant. She feels or assume she feels sypmtoms of pregnancy after repeated examinations and tests prove the contrary. It is a psychiatric illness. The people that helped her get that innocent baby should be arrested. A DNA test should be done and the baby returned to the real mother. |
The guy lied. It does not cost that much to deliver in the States. I have sent not less than 10 patients to deliver in Texas. Normal delivery cost around $3000 to $5000. Additional services are charged. Epidural is additional $1500.Non of my patients has spent upto $10000. I don't know where he got the $140000 from. |
Somebody please tell the family that I have found a middle ground. Let them hold the funeral service and entertain their guests in Yenagoa then take him in a military helicopter to his village for burial. |
pato station: Chei! I wish say Fashola be gov'nor for China. These people for hear nwiiYou know you are not saying the truth. Fashola will not demolish without paying compensation unless the land has no C of O. Something very similar happened in Lagos. If you are familiar with Lagos take a drive to the overhead bridge constructed by Fashola at Cele bus stop along the Oshodi Apapa express road. That three story building circled by the bridge is same as this one. The man refused the compensation Fashola offered and Fashola did NOT knock it down. He built the bridge round the house. There is no entrance to the house and nobody is occuping it now. |
This is certainly not the best of times for Mr Wale Babalakin. The most likely thing here is that he is threatening to take the government to court for cancelling the Lagos~ Ibadan road contract. This might be a way of scaring him to death. I think he should settle with the government because I see this as GEJ's way of getting back at Obasanjo.Watching him respond to the Odi incident the way he did during the chat, its obvious he is no longer scared of Obasanjo. He seems to have lost all respect he has for Obasanjo. Mr Babalakin should not allow himself to be used to show us who is in charge. He should beg them. This is the same advice I gave Mr Ifeanyi Uba of capital oil some weeks back. |
When I watched the video on South African owned etv yesterday evening I had my doubts. Anybody living in Nigeria and knowing the Nigerian army will also have his doubts. The guy was on the back of a truck filled with dead bodies in a busy areas with some men moving around. Most of the men were wearing mufti with few on army uniform. They dragged the man out of the truck and two men shut him on his head. The typical Nigerian soldier will beat you up then take you to their base. Anything can happen there but two soldiers will not shoot somebody on the head with people watching. Lastly I did not see blood splash though the video was blured. Hope etv will this evening tell us reuter has withdrawn the video. They love anything bad coming out of Nigeria. |
Money always brings problen - GEJ |
I think the complaint about treatment of Nigerians at the American embassy is at times blown out of proportion. My last experience was May this year at the Lagos center.I had a 6.30am appointment and was there by 6am. I saw more than 500 Nigerians already waiting. Some had 6am appointment,6.30am,7am in that order. When it got to our turn,we lined up and entered the main complex. We passed through the differnt steps from finger prints to the short interviews lasting less than 2 to 3 minutes. The guys were profesionals and treated everybody with respect. The interviews were in the open so you could hear the next person. They gave about 40% of people I saw that day visa. It was simple. Ones you have travelled outside the country before and earns upto five hundred thousand naira monthly you sure will get a tourist visa for your holidays. You cannot be earning fifty thousand naira monthly and claim you are going on holidays and expect anybody to believe you. |
I said it last week in an earlier post that Mr Uba overrates himself. I adviced him then to go beg the toes he stepped on. You cannot insult people like Okonjo Iweala and get away with it. I knew he will get into trouble after he annouced his wealth to Nigerians the way he did during his 40th birthday celebration last year.Nigerians hate such things. They love smart and intelligent guys not some 'money miss roads'. |
Who the gods want to kill, they first make mad.Dear Mr Uba, please go and beg them. You are too small to fight them and You have no credibility to do that. They will put you in jail and nothing will happen. You are just an overrated fry.If Bode George could go to jail you can imagine what will happen to you. |
Chinua Achebe (the bigot) re-opened this old wound, even Ojukwu knew it was childishness that made him start the war he was eventually unable to finish. Now,Achebe would regret ever writing the book he wrote at his old age,at a time this New generation wasn't trying to think accross ethnic lines but being our brother's keeper.[/quote Sir,please can you comment only on things you understand. You don't know how we feel. The wound is not old. It is still very fresh and we are still hurting. Sir, please try not to call Achebe a bigot because he is not one. |
Hero of the civil war indeed. Why did he not give them a good fight. I forget they were not innocent women and children. |
Dead on arrival. Typical Nigerian way. |
Ejiné: The Owerri airport is actually owned by Imo State, not the federal government.NO. It is now a federal airport. Renamed Sam Mbakwe airport. The then Imo state government built it. I can remember paying the airport levy as a primary school pupil. |
I think the aviation minister is trying. I used the Owerri airport a month ago and did not recognise it. Though work is still ongoing, it looked nothing like the last time I used it last year. I hope others ministers will work like her. |
RIP ma. |
The only thing I know about the war was that when the war ended, the Nigerian soldier came to my village, told all the men to come out and dig trenches. They shot all the men including my two uncles. They claimed my village haboured Biafran soldiers. My father was yet to come back from the war front hence he was spared. How can I wake up one day and forget this? |
Ricky_Ross: Who is this man? He is probably a politician tryin to make some useless noise to become popular. You don't know him? He spent four years fighting in the Federal house of representative. He lost the last election and automatically became a new breed democrat. |
Because they don't want their enemies to start rejoicing. |
GEJ beware. This is another trap for you. Suddenly they all love Bakassi people. Judgement given in 2002. |
Yes, just like your father will return with your mom's body in casket. I hope that makes you happy. Idiot. musKeeto: I hope he returns with her body in a casket |
There are many reasons private hospitals reject accident victims. The first is that most of them might lack the capacity to treat them. The commonest cause of death in case of road traffic accident is bleeding and most hospitals might not be able to provide that immediately. In such cases, it is usually better to refer the patient to a tertiary center where blood will be available. If the source of bleeding is obvious, most hospitals will try to stop it and refer immediately. Like already stated by many here, the second reason is issue of recovering money spent on treating those accident victims. The third which nobody has mentioned here is that most private hospitals will not want an accident victim to die in their hospital especially when the victim is not accompanied by relatives. From my experience, the best place to treat accident victims is still in a tertiary center and that is where they should be moved to immediately. The addidional say few minutes gap between a mushroom private hospital and tertiary hospital is meaninless when you realise that that hospital might spend an hour looking for their doctor or two hours looking for blood. |
stagger: Doctors in the house, is it possible to discover an intact pill in someone's "system" so many hours after swallowing?A poorly written story. I think the woman died from complications resulting from the surgery. Remember May? That was some years back. If the dude actually gave the wife some pills to recover fast, that might be an innocent move. Many patient relatives do that. I think the doctor is quick to shift blame. Follow the story am sure the guy is not a gynaecologist. A gynaecologist will likely accept the death as post op complication and defend himself. |
Nigerians like abusing things. The other day, a lady told me she was going to South Africa to have the baby. What Nigerians do now is go to South Africa with a tourist visa, stay some days in a hotel or rented apartment and wait for labor to start. At onset of labor they will rush to hospital claiming they just got into the country and had unexpected labor. They are taken as emergencies and delivered free of charge. They say the baby gets South African passport after 10 years. It is shameful what we put ourselves to in this country. |
otokx: we are not o though we have scored a cheap goal. Please that was not a cheap goal. The pass was world class. |
Johndoe100: True talk my brother. She wanted figures. Now that the figures are out, she will not comment again. Fact is the power situation has improved and it is getting better by the day. It has nothing to do with liking GEJ or not. |
