According to Godwin, sequel to the couple’s death, the village head stepped in to claim ownership of their land, insisting that the deceased couple do not belong to the community.

The son of the deceased however, in his statement, stated that the land belongs to their family and they are still in possession of the land documents. He also maintained that his grandfather bought the land and passed it on to his dad who lived there all his life and raised 11 children.

Stressing further, the deceased son explained that the land dispute started immediately his parents died, and the village head stopped him and his siblings from burying their parents in the compound.

Three Nigerian students/graduates of the Thompson Rivers University, Kamloops, British Columbia, Canada, have been killed in a car crash that occurred last week.They are identified as Daniel Okocha , Oluwatosin Adeojo and Femi Adebowale. The deceased and one other person were taking a trip in a car when it was struck by a pick-up truck.

RCMP were called to 1st Avenue and Battle Street at 1:40 a.m. PT after reports of the collision. Daniel and Femi died at the spot while Tosin later died at the hospital .

The owner of the truck was arrested Sunday but was released later that day. No charges have been laid.

A statement from the university’s president, Brett Fairbairn, posted on TRU’s website, says all four people in the car were international students, either current or alumni.

Wicked World: Scary Charm for a wedding gift

Obaseoyi and Thickla with company of friends and family performed their wedding rites today, 7th of July,2018 at new covenant restoration ministries no. 10 Okon Edem street, Calabar, Cross River State.
After the church service, all roads led to Asukos events centre by Etta-Agbor roundabout opposite mountain of fire church along IBB way Calabar for the reception.




As the wedding proceeded, after the cutting of cake, the master of occasion Mr. Ntongha Martins called on everyone to come forth with their wedding gifts. Gifts were presented and the couple danced but surprisingly within the hour, the attention of every one was drawn to the proclamation of Apostle Dr. Evang. Elisha essien who told the MC that there was a mysterious gift given to the couple
Evang Elisha being led by the spirit, went direct to the gift, picked it up and opened it. Behold it was a charm with spells of disappointment, failure, infertility and other ill wishes.



After praying and reversing it back to the sender, the Apostle went away with the so called gift. Many felt bad including the couple. This however, led to no merriment as usual; no more dancing nor refreshment as all were saddened by the occurrence and left with no appetite for food.

Sunday Martins constructed public toilet to Stem open defecation and encourage healthy environment

Sunday Martins a Graduate of Medical Laboratory, University of Calabar and a Native of Mkpani, in Yakurr Local Government Area of Cross River State constructed a public toilet for the people of Okolobiri, in Yenahola. During his interview with Detailing Cross River “ Sunday said he hate seeing people defecating publicly and that was why he had to construct a public toilet at Okolobiri Market in the Outskirts of Yenagoa, the state capital.


The project was commissioned on the 21 march 2018 by the State Coordinator who was highly represented by Head of Corps Welfare and Health Service Mr. Harrison Momodu. At the event those present to witness the commissioning were the Local Government Officer, Mr. Francis Kinikanwo, Chiefs of the community, elders, youths and market men and women
