My batteries are 200ah, can 10A work for it? I was told 10A is for 100ah and below while 20A is for 100ah battery and above. How true is this?
Then, for the stabilizer, you advised 3kva to 5kva stabilizer. Is it to be connected to the inverter or the inverter to be connected to it?

which do you think will be right to charge with but at present am using the 20A.

My candid opinion:

It’s ok, the “recommended current” is the max Charging current

How charger works ;
Charging does not start at 20a and ends there, as the battery gets full, your charger regulates the amps by reducing the input per time

It’s Good. You can use it.

Lastly, as concerning charging, the most destructive part is the voltage, and seeing that the voltage of you are charging with is ok.


You’ll be fine.

if you get exact 36a your 1, 12v battery wont ask for all that to charge.

The 36a is a rule of thumb for some batteries, to charge 20% of the total battery ah,
20% of 180 is 36A

and obviously you won’t discharge it below 30%

General advise based on usage of this type of battery and best way to use it.

According to them

The battery as 6cells
Each cell at 0% reads 1.80v
1.80v x 6 = 10.8v for 0%

But Oga no try am, no matter how good the battery is

Best option is 12.00v that’s 50% depth of discharge

Your worse is 11.5v , about 30%

But I present you option A and B, choose A, that you may enjoy your battery longer!

But I want the fridge and freezer to be always on (24/7) while every other appliance can be average of 12 hours per day. I'm thinking 4 batteries of 12v200Ahr, 6 mono crystalline panels of 200W and an inverter of 12V2kva will do the job for me.

that setup is not sufficient to charge your batteries full in 5-6 hours of peak sunlight, with other loads on

but first provide the wattage for your fridge and freezer, , how many fans, and bulbs

give a clear detailed power rating of your appliances, to get best advise.

Am using felicity hybrid with luminous 220ah wet cell batteries.......it's editable. Though Maximum voltage is 58.4v with equalization function. It works well for the batteries and charges very fast. Carries my whole flat, My freezer runs on it 24/7. Funnily I cook with it everyday(use 1.8kw infrared fast burner)

It may look nice at first cooking with it, but it’s not the best.
1.8kw equipment and other may not be great though, you see most batteries we have over here in Nigeria at their Best comes with 2years warranty, not like over there that some batteries go as long as 5years, what does it tell us, we still some way to go
I really advise you to as much as possible use minimal load on your inverters even though they are bigger.

You may be able to manage it, what if you are not around and someone else puts on a lot more with your burner
My experience with batteries is that, they don’t get bad just immediately you load them, it’s over time after an injury in the cells

Minimise your usage, enjoy your Inverter for years and counting.

Let’s never compare the way those guys outside load their inverters, they sure have warranty than ours, That’s a sign

The max PV WATTS of panel is 1440watts.I don't think the present set up can cope with my night demand as I do not like to discharge my batteries beyond 50%.Adding additional 2 units of 260watss will only ensue my battery is charged fully and in shirt time.Even if the batteries are fully charged till 6pm,it can't take me overnight without going beyong my 50% DOD
