He has no choice eventhough his advisers are foolish. If he refuses to send his name NJC would not recommend another person. Onnoghen is the most senior judge and won't retire now cos he still has over three years to serve. The Judiciary is a different arm of govt not control by another arm. The presidency would soon shoot themselves in the foot cos if Buhari refuses to forward his name, NJC will meet and still forward Onnoghen's name again.

As it stands now, I doubt if everything can happen within 1 week. This confirms the fear of persons that Buhari doesn't want that man as CJN, watch out and see the speed of light he will use to send to the NASS a replacement who is a Northerner
