sarrki: What is ipobs ?
Do us court have jurisdiction over Nigeria ?
I thought they are educated ?
It shows they are not I understand that in your rush to be FTC, you didn't read it properly ..... Please read below nwakibie3: The suit was filed based on two US’ statutes; the Alien Tort Claims Act (ATCA or ATS – the Alien Tort Statute) and the Torture Victims Protection Act (TVPA).
Both laws have extra-territorial reach, meaning they allow US federal courts to assert long-arm jurisdiction which extends beyond the borders of US.
ATCA provides that ‘the district courts shall have original jurisdiction on any civil action by an alien (foreigner) for a civil wrong committed in violation of the law of nations or a treaty of the United States.’
Since 1980, courts have interpreted this statute to allow foreign citizens to seek remedies in US courts, for human rights violations and for conducts committed outside the US.
The TVPA of 1991 is a statute which permits civil suits in the US against foreign individuals who, acting in an official capacity for any foreign nation, committed torture and/or extra-judicial killings.

PHILipu1: You talk like a kid. There is no party agent that will give out 2k without confirming that you voted for his party.
I can tell you how agents do at the polling unit. So stop this tale by moonlight.
The agent standing close to where you drop your ballot must see where you thumb print and then give signal to the one that will pay before you will go and collect your money.
You think this agents are fools? First- Don't insult me. I have been dishing you facts without calling you Afonja or Aboki Second - Agents don't mandate people to vote before pay.... Not in an election where 3 different parties were sharing cash. Third - Don't mention me again. I don't argue with people that use insult as a defense mechanism when losing an argument |

PHILipu1: so all those people that supported APC over PDP in Anambra governorship election even after all the massacre of IPOB and Buhari failure that you mentioned are not Igbos?
Your thinking is different from the next Igbo man and don't expect every Igbo man to reason like you.
I will quote you after the election ok. Federal Might gave APC 2nd position not votes. That was why they couldn't contest Obiano's victory. I know a polling booth at Nteje, Oyi LGA where APC shared 2k to over 50 people and got 18 votes when the results were counted. |

PHILipu1: LOL. You are the one wrong here. Ngige started losing because he was contesting against master of rigging (PDP) candidates.
We all know how PDP do use the army, police, dss, inec, nysc etc to rig out opposition candidates in so many elections.
But the game has change now and PDP no longer control this agencies and our elections are becoming more free and fair and i can tell you that if Ngige that his party now control Aso rock really want to contest any election in Anambra that he will win or perform very well.
Before this election,Ngige told INEC that he was not contesting but INEC turn down his suggestion of a fresh primary for APC and you don't expect Ngige to resign as minister to then go low to be senator.
Watch out and see 2019 presidential results in Anambra. I will quote you then. I wanted to refer you to Ngige-Akunyili election under Peter Obi governance but I noticed you're not in Anambra nor Igbo. So I say..... There are so many things about the Igbos you will never understand. In 2015, Igbos supported PDP and everyone said they put their eggs in one basket. Is it in 2019 after the massive failure of Buhari and the massacre of armless IPOB that Igbos will start supporting APC? Let me use an illustration to make something clear to you. If God himself should contest under APC, he will lose in Anambra |
Politics › Re: Inec Declares Victor Umeh Winner Of Anambra Central Rerun Election by Unseen(m): 11:08am On Jan 14, 2018 |
PHILipu1: My calculation and vision tells me that APC will win Anambra or perform very well come 2019.
The victory of Obiano and APC didn't challenge it in court.
Now the victory of Umeh when we all know that Ngige will not leave his ministerial position to be a senator is a way of APC rubbing the back of APGA and come 2019,APGA will rub the back of APC by either allowing APC to win the state or allow the results to favour APC very well.
Nobody has the structure of a state more than the governor and Obiano will never want to work for PDP when Peter Obi is still there.
I think there is a deal between APGA and APC in Anambra. You're so wrong. Almighty Ngige started losing election the day ACN merged with APC. APGA will never declare support for APC nor influence election for them else they go the Ngige way. Finally, stop underestimating Anambra Igbos. |

KEVIND: THE ASABA MASSACRE
The Federal troops entered Asaba around October 5, and began ransacking houses and killing civilians, claiming they were Biafran sympathisers. Leaders summoned the towns people to assemble on the morning of October 7, hoping to end the violence through a show of support for "One Nigeria." Hundreds of men, women, and children, many wearing the ceremonial akwa ocha (white) attire paraded along the main street, singing, dancing, and chanting "One Nigeria." At a junction, men and teenage boys were separated from women and young children, and gathered in an open square at Ogbe-Osowa village. Federal troops revealed machine guns, and orders were given, reportedly by Second-in-Command, Maj. Ibrahim Taiwo , to open fire. It is estimated that more than 700 men and boys were killed, some as young as 12 years old, in addition to many more killed in the preceding days. The bodies of some victims were retrieved by family members and buried at home. But most were buried in [mass grave]]s, without appropriate ceremony. Many extended families lost dozens of men and boys.. As an Igbo man, Anytime the issue of Asaba Massacre is raised, I am always torn between pity and laughter. I pity them because Human lives were wasted, and I laugh because Igbos in present day Delta state came out to show SOLIDARITY to enemies of Biafra ...... their brothers and were massacred. |
