and thanks to all those that knew i was truly reading, sent me PMs etc
i am grateful

Terese69:

You can use Google to make your read faster. For example you can Google "nairaland+give birth in usa+Houston poe" or "nairaland+give birth in usa+colorado+hospital" or whatever you want to search really. In my opinion, you get results faster that way and then you can ask for whatever you truly can't find [s]so you don't incur the wrath of hormonal preggos [/s] (who are otherwise very nice and helpful). Most people on here don't mind helping you but only after you have shown evidence of trying to help yourself cos really most of the questions asked have been answered previously.

Secondly, I used Dr. Fagbohun's (Oakbend, Houston) correspondence at my interview and at Dallas POE even though I was going to use a doctor and hospital in Dallas. The doctors I contacted in dallas don't commit to you or give you any sort of documented correspondence until they see you so a girl had to do what a girl had to do.

I'd say you have a right to change your mind as long as you pay all your bills and have your zero balance handy for next time.

I hope this helps.

let me pm you. some peeps already witch hunt here.

quote author=olokings post=36932221]Greetings uptown17.
Ref ur post on the issue raised.
Pls note the following:
1. I already had a visa wch was used for vacation once
2. Sent a change of intent letter to the embassy even though I clearly stated that I'm gonna be using del solution medical centre buh ended up using dallas (not even doctors hospital buh instead due to complications I settled with methodist hospital Richardson).
3. You have a right to change your mind about ur choice and Location of birthing just don't come off as an inconclusive person.

Now in view of the above
If you are actually gonna be applying for visa
Just get correspondence for accommodation flight doctor hospital for one location.
Now when visa has been secured you can decide where you finally wanna birth.
Just be sure that your correspondence quotes are in sync with what you got in your bank account aii.

Nice of you to have read. ...imma look out for ya. Just keep reading and feel free to buzz the community for clarification.
Best of luck.

yes i am reading. asides time constraint. you should remember some of us
are newbies here and only stumbled upon the thread when pregnancy has progressed

to read part 1 &2 of this topic takes weeks.. and who knows baby fit come while still reading posts in naija.. so efforts become wasted

am not asking to be spoonfed. i only want t.o know if its not a crime to say at embassy, we r going to state A. get d visa and go to state B. if POE officers wont be asking y

any1 who truly understands my plight should kindly answer. we havent applied for visa cos we r still reading... and time is def not gonna wait

thanks

LadyGuinivere:

Honey boo the only reason you are confused is because apparently u have not read the thread.
Sincerely, I believe the best sorta help one can offer is teaching another the know how. So many stories on top stories of people that changed hospitals are here.
Note: I say this with all love and sincerity, if u refuse to study this thread but depend on handouts u will NOT get the visa and you'l run into hitches and troubles later and join the 'pls help me, its urgent ' bandwagon.

hmnnnn...@firstymum i have a handful 2yr old daughter. i cant manage wt her alone. i get tired easily. cos hubby will join us december, i tried houston and affordable places i saw some say, no children, some say only 1 adult. (i am considering taking my mum to help me before hubby comes) extended stay america is not cheap. thats what led to going to family place ooo

firsttymum:
Uptown17

Lemme b practical with you
Why go to a state where u wld spend more just because u have to stay with a family member? Consider transport + hospital bill

I don't get it at all o!
Let's say u go to a state and get like less than 6k or let's say 6k sef (without epi) and then u find accommodation where u pay 1k monthly for 3months (u get free ride to hospital weekly and grocery shopping)
U end up spending 9k for Hosp + accommodation +transport (at least before u put to bed).
So it's not bout getting free accommodation it's what it will cost you at the end.

It's not how close the hospital is, it's how affordable it is for you (weigh your pocket)
But we will b happy if you can get new hospitals and share d cost breakdown

stories about affordable hospitals in some states with affordable accommodation have been shared severally... Once again if u are reading you wld have read a lot of similar stories like yours

when hubby and i started this american baby tins i dint know it can be this tasking.
this forum has been our consolation that NLs are doing it and its def working. we are confused

1. the family who wants to accomodate us in chicago live close to swedish convenant hospital but we still havent been able to reach any doctor successfully. no email. no phone no. (family na old aunt that is unable to go hospital to enquire for us)
2. if we are getting letter of invite, should it state we are being invited to come for vacation and birth or just vacation
3. is it a crime to state during interview that one is going to a particular state, and when u fly, you travel to another state.
am asking cos time is going and we havent been able to apply for visa as hospital isnt settled yet. (dont know if we can use fagboun's quotationher gaveand do interview for houston but fly to chicago)

4. through your wonderful help, we read about dr fares in new jersey but we havent been able to find affordable accomodation around nj
if you have any help with this two states, pleaseeeeee kindly assist. we beg you

thank u @ALL

@financefitness thanks alot.

for hubby can we just say at the embassy he will be joining us to assist around the time baby will come

FinanceFitness:
Let me answer the simple one - you don't need to have the same travel dates as your husband.

On the other one, seems complicated cause all the burden of proof you gather now will be useless eventually. The thing is that there's nothing wrong with changing your mind and maybe notifying the embassy if your destination changes and carry it along, just in case you need it at POE.

The challenge is that this is not a change of mind - since you know now. Isn't it possible that you get the new location now?

People replied u already! U.S. Visa is not fill form today go to embassy tomorrow, u might have to wait almost 2months depends on the crowd applying at that time to get a date.. The visa rejection they ask about on the form is US VISA. Sometimes the VO won't ask about ur history... Browse through this thread and gather ur burden of proof and be prepared .. On a serious note go through this thread with ur jotter and pen and gather materials and read people's experiences... It would really help. It's not just account statements, it's hospital, Drs correspondence , accommodation, strong ties etc so u must read through
Don't forget to pray for Favour

@firstymum. hmnnn,, you know how our hubbys can be at times with info
they share wen you pressurise or they feel need to. as soon as he told me this story about his old passport.. i shared.
so pls pardon US.

i dint put the 400k lump sum in hubby account on this thread cos i feel US doesnt look for such on statements unlike UK

the story is clearer. we both have uk application rejection, mine in 2014, i have only been to ghana b4. his in 2007, he has been to uk few times b4 the rejection and germany last year

we wana give birth in us. do we reaply for uk first, or face US squarely

firsttymum:

What's the real story? Cos ur story isn't consistent... In the UK visa page u said and I quote "
note: hubby never had a rejection any time and has been to few other countries. his will be a renewal"

Now u r saying he was denied?
In the UK visa page u talked about funds(how someone transferred 400k to ur hubby and he transferred same amount to another person) and that u preferred to use ur sisters account. And u also said u intend to apply end of August to the UK (and you'll be 24 or 25 weeks) lets add the duration of their visa processing and then let's add when you will b able to secure an appointment with d US embassy

What do u want? To birth in the UK or US ? You seem confused and not completely honest.
Like financefitness said HAVE YOUR CIRCUMSTANCES CHANGED?

It obviously hasn't and note that you were denied visa based on finances..

You are even beginning to confuse me

Hi everyone, I'm new here and have read some threads back. I'm applying for a UK tourist visa, I'm gainfully employed. I want to ask if the tax clearance card is part of what I need to submit. Thanks

you should include a copy of it in your application or provide a letter from your employer stating your tax is being deducted and remiited n ur card is under processing (that is if you have no card)
Travel / Re: Give Birth In USA: Cost And Procedures Part 2 by uptown17: 8:54pm On Aug 05, 2015
haaaaa. help again o. dont be tired pls. hubby has an old passport (before epassport started) that has a 6mnths, 2yrs, visa and a rejection of 5yrs application. the rejection was in 2007 wt reason (he was a student then and dint have sufficient ties to nigeria) all from way back before we got married. his new passport has just schengen visa

as you have advised we should face our us visa for birthing, does this new discovery on his old passport matter?
should we take this passport alongside the new one at all?

pls bear in mined, my self n 2yr old baby have 6months uk application rejection on ours

thanks guru mums

olokings:
I won't advice that.
Ever heard of "visa shopping"?! Embassies frown at those. ... hmmmm...#thinking. .
I'd say liquidate the fixed deposit into account and if asked you will day you have been planning this vocation and childbirth trip a while now (make sure you back up this statement by dotting ur Is n crossing ur Ts).
Apply str8 to us embassy and do it quickly.
Going to late at your term negates your claim of planning ahead on time.

Do what you have to do and do it quick. .

Sincerely it makes more sense for your husband to sponsor you than your sister.

Apart from the transfer of 400k into your husbands account what else is the issue with his account. What is the purpose of the 400k and cant you get any document to support this transfer.

In my last 2 years application i had a cover letter explaining EVERY DEPOSIT in both accounts i submitted. I also had a 400k transfer into my account apart from other deposits and in the cover letter i explained it was a loan returned by my colleague. Two deposits were supported with documents and others were just explanation because my letter was in form of a table with columns for date, amount, details

@iblaw in april, hubby got the money from colleague A and transferred same to colleague B 3days later.
we dont know what paper evidence to give since refund wasnt to colleague A. what excuse can be tenable
we need to apply end august. please help ooooooooo gurus

While you may be very right.
I think they can work their way around it with a gud back story as to why they wanna go to the states em all.

When I and my family went for interview, we just recently (like 2 months old) got the big rejection stamp from France embassy.
What we did was top build travel history by taking a 4 day vacation to dubai with layover in Ethiopia (yeah! Dt adds to travel history lol)..
As such we weren't asked why the rejection. ..just if we have b4 n I said yes. ..

Tnxie much

thanks for respondingooo
it was hubby that got wrong info from people. they advised him last year to give us his statement that had insufficent funds... on the assumption that eco will look at his salary inflow to know he earns well.. now we know better.

hubby has funds in his account (1.5M) + fixed deposit (2.2M)we plan to submit. and landed docs

at 21weeks. if i apply for uk end ugust, wait for response to come like sept 14. then start U.S. i must fly to usa b4 preg is 34weeks old

what do u suggest

For whatever reason he got a transfer of 400k please provide reason and if possible paper evidence as that alone can make you donate visa fee to BHC.

Selection for interview is done randomly at their own discretion so be prepared when you go submit your documents.

Hope your husband has a print out of his previous application form and documents so he wont commit any blunder reference his previous details.

Best of Luck

ok. because hubby;s statement is giving so much headache. i have an elder sister who is capable of sponsoring me n baby. she has been to uk 6times and has a 5years visa running. can she sponsor me and baby, then hubby wont need to apply

hello people please help me out with this uk visa

my first uk visa application with my baby was refused as the embassy could not reach the person that invited us & inadequate funding.
hubby has travelled to few places and has expired uk visa. we all want to reapply with him as sponsor and using hotel booking

he has a N400k transfer that came into his account in april which he also transferred to another person. because uk is money focused, how do we explain this 400k in our application. we intend applying end august

who knows what category of people go for interviews in uk embassy. my last refusal was sept 2014. will they call us for interview?

note: hubby never had a rejection any time and has been to few other countries. his will be a renewal

i will apprieciate your candid response
