For those who sent their passports(after PPR) via VFS, kindly assist so can advise my friend properly

1. Is it truly cheaper than DHL service (cost wise) for a single passport
2. Can someone go and send & pick up the passport on her behalf?
3. Would she need to give the sender/proxy any consent/authorization to send & pick at VFS
4. How long did it take for VFS to return your passport

Thank you

Travel / Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by uptown17: 6:08pm On Feb 10, 2018
good evening house
so my mum applied for uk visa and one day after she left Uk, she received this email from home office
her visa expiry is 25th Feb or so..

REMEMBER YOUR VISA EXPIRES SHORTLY, MAKE PLANS TO LEAVE THE UK OR EXTEND YOUR STAY TODAY

We're sure you already know that your visa in the UK expires on 25 February 2018. We hope that you have enjoyed your time here.

You've probably already begun to make plans either to leave the UK or to extend your stay before your visa expires. If you haven't started to make plans to travel yet, you should start now as there are less than 3 weeks left. Don't wait until the last moment as travel may be more expensive and you don't want to risk your leave expiring.

If you need to extend your stay then, for peace of mind, you should submit your application as soon as you can. You will find information about how to do this on GOV.UK.

If you have recently applied to extend your stay or your information is incorrect, please let us know here.

Thank you,

Immigration Enforcement

my question is: has anyone received such mail towards visa expiry?
is this now a practice?
should we answer or ignore the mail. she already left UK anyway

i clicked d link in the mail and below are the questions we are to fill

Thank you

Hi uptown17,

A couple of people have given birth in New Jersey. It is a small state so I guess anywhere will be accessible from Newark (please others should correct me if I am wrong). Instead of checking for Newark... You may want to check for those who have birthed in New Jersey.
Thank you soooo much for your response. i checked new jersey too on the thread and didnt find what i could lay my hands on. thats why i asked for help

Update! - Medical passed and UCI issued today Oct. 6th- 10 days post AOR. Apparently, the hospital waived submission of my LUTH report. I thank the Lord. Wish everyone of us God's speed.

I believe WES would accept it because they would request for verification from OAU in any case. So if there are any discrepancies, as long as its not from him/her... it should be fine.

Post ITA, he can include it in his LOE.

Thank you for your prompt response. I truly appreciate
Pls more suggestions& contributions or even any1 with same issue can advise

Dear house
Please a friend finished his mba from OAU in 2012 (that is transcript date) but his certificate reads 2015. When he called OAU, he was told people who finished around then had same discrepancy as school did not approve results till 2015.
Please how will he go about this?
1. Will WES accept the certificate like that?
2. Post ITA, how best will he explain this descrepancy or its not a deal breaker?
3. OAU grads, pls is this excuse from the school true or the contact is coooking it up?

Thank you for your responses ooo

All the docs (pink copy inclusive) form PCC. Its best you discuss with about rescanning OR send some1 to go and pick the original if you cant make it.

Pls house. I am trying to guide someone on WES. However an argument has broken out on verification type for immigration purpose should be DOCUMENT BY DOCUMENT ($171CAD) & not COURSE BY COURSE ($233CAD) I Know many people paid that $233. Pls which is truly correct?

Hello guys,

In the general LOE for eAPR, do we have to provide details such as self introduction, motivation for immigration, what we want to do there, plans to settle, who we know, etc?

This was recommended by someone I spoke to recently, who is based in Canada and does immigration consulting.
I've not read about this here or elsewhere so thought I should ask.
Ha ha..kilode...(vexing) dont mind your canadian friend. LOE is not for such..i just wonder why people complicate application for others sef. All those thinge he told you, you wld have captured on eApr somehow. LoE is for things that aint straight forward that you need the VO to understand in your application.

Hello,
The new syllabus took effect november 2014, so if your friend qualified may 2014, Wes might not "favour' the evaluation.
Thank you

@bolded Fear of "village people", maybe? cheesy grin

On a serious note, beyond what is written in "black and white", experiences enrich the thread greatly.

There are many things that are not explicitly stated on IRCC's website e.g. standard reference + bank statement in lieu of recommended format, gift deed, 25% of pension as POF, positive assessment of ICAN's ACA, etc

Those who share their experiences should be appreciated smiley

As in ehnn... if you know what the bolded is causing for my friend.. he qualified in 2014. (before dashing WES money and report will come out unfavourable) we have been unable to find someone who evaluated qualification for that year to state if its favourable or not. i have pmed GoldenJem & MamaTobenna to no avail. people please keep sharing oo..

Sorry, I was wrong. Apparently OND/HND count as two degree while BSc/MSc doesn't. My comment was based on the latter which isn't the case for the former.

Sorry for the mix up.
Fine gentle man.

How exactly is it misleading? It's public info, you get only the point for your highest degree. If you like do ECA from primary school leaving certificate until BSc, you'd only get the point for the BSc.
Datechman is right. 2/more certs will give a higher score than just BSc. Thats why he is suggesting ond+hnd. Even when Bsc evaluation is added, Its not a negative. See CIC details on such

There was somebody in exams and records that assisted me then in 2014. Don't know if he's still there sha. But wait oo, has your result left your department/faculty? Because he really couldn't do much as per faculty side. I had to travel on several occassions (over 1yr) to push it out of my faculty to exams and records and was able to get it within 1 week of it getting to records. That school ehhnn.

You can PM me for his contact.
Chk your pm. Thank you
