His little daughter will be so used to seeing him and will always be wondering what happened to him Felt sorry for the whole family. May God be with them all |
While this is commendable given the fact, imagine the manpower (at taxpayer's cost) needed to enforce queue at every petrol station. |
maestro09:While the consumption of a Camry V4 engine and the I-4 engine is not the same, the difference is not too much. V6 engine is the one in the highlander and Sienna. They use the Sienna for transport, so there can be no "excessive" fuel consumption for it to be used for transport. And i am sure you see highlanders all over the place. V6 also runs much smoother than the 4 cylinders. Stop listening to these half brain daft mechanics with zero fresh ideas since their freedom decades ago. You won''t regret the car. Good luck. |
Rather than spend all the time and effort in trying to do a quack conversion that you cannot guarantee it will work, why don't you go to ELIZADE or other Toyota dealership and buy a brand new original pads intended for your vehicle? The people that designed the car know why it was designed differently. Toyota will not go thru the effort of using another design if the old design on the 2.4 will do ![]() And Toyota like using similar parts and engine on lots of their cars. You can find similar parts on Camry, Avensis, Prado etc. TOYOTA IS THE KING OF PARTS INTERCHANGEABILITY. They will use old pads if it will do. DO NOT DO SOMETHING YOU WILL REGRET!!!! Good luck |
For N16m, why not just go look for somewhere to buy a land and build your own? And still have enough left to buy 2 cars ![]() Happy Sale |
Looks like you were DISMISSED cos of your job performance. They even gave you an opportunity to fix the problem but you did not. Why do you think its OK for you to be drawing salary without showing up to work? As you make your bed, so you shall lay in it. Millions are looking for jobs without success and you had one but messed it up. That means you CANNOT afford a flat of N150k per annum. You need to figure at what you have to do. Good luck out there |
You buy any used car with caution. Pay attention to the maintenance history. With that said, nothing is wrong with a V6. Most mechanics are just clueless and unwilling to learn new things. NOTHING'S WRONG WITH A V6!!!! |
Can you post interior and engine pics? |
spryngfieldz:You need to thread lightly. Why would anyone in their right mind sell a car that is worth between N1.9-N3m brand new for so little? Will you sell your car that cheap if it does not have any issues? Everyone wants free windfall but you have to be real in your thinking. Otherwise, it will get you in trouble. Fantasies can turn to nightmare REAL REAL FAST!!! Good luck!!! |
u forgot to mention the year |
Do you only need the dvd or the whole system? |
Subaru are very good cars . Rugged. Made in Japan. If Hyundai can survive in Nigeria, so you don't have to worry about Subaru The gasket issue is a long time ago. affects only 1998-2002 Models. The best thing to do is to get Subaru as a used car. They cost a lot brand new but they dont hold their resale values as like Toyota. However, that has nothing to do with their quality. They are excellent cars. Used to drive a Subaru GL wagon while in school more than 15yrs ago in California. Never for once failed me for almost 2yrs i had the car. The engine seat was bad (cant remember if i got it like that) which makes the exhaust pipe break like every 2-3months. I will just go re-weld and keep driving it until i got rid of the car. Go for it |
damiloladuke:And this affects you how? |
damiloladuke:Get your facts right. SHE WAS ON A SET OF MUSIC VIDEO!!!!! ITS A CLOSED SET INSIDE A COMPOUND!!!! |
I am truly happy for this lady. However, i want anyone that know her (or if you find yourself in similar situation) PLEASE KNOW THE TERMS OF YOUR CONTRACT!!! I cannot state this big enough. Knowing that she is not very educated, its easy for the agency that discovered her to cheat her in the terms of the contract. How much is she keeping in this deal? She needs to know. I AM NOT SAYING THAT IS WHAT HAPPENING IN THIS CASE BUT SHE SHOULD GET A GOOD LAWYER TO LOOK OVER HER CONTRACT. There are lots of broke celebrities. Being famous does not necessarily transform to being wealthy. But the last thing you want to do is letting someone else get too rich on your effort. Entertainment industry is full of people with bad contract especially when just starting out. Don't make the same mistake others have made. Its easy to be so eager to make it and forget the most critical issue: HOW MUCH YOU ARE MAKING. Fame cannot last forever. But you can live on your breakthrough forever. And it won't be bad for her to look into building her own brand. She can actually invest in a modern bakery and grow that business. After-all, she know a thing or two about it. Bread is a stable worldwide. and with a country of about 200 million people, the sky is the limit. In other to be wealthy, you have to be willing to let other be wealthy but don't be left holding the bag. JUMOKE, ride it till the wheel fall off. My prayers are with you. |
blueblood1:A toks 2002/03 Camry sells for like 1.3/1.4m How do you expect to find a 2004/05 XC90 Volvo for N1.1m? I am sure you will get response when you are realistic with your expectation. Good luck |
Ahmed4002:I think they are no longer when Buhari came in. You can now import furniture to Nigeria. I STAND TO BE CORRECTED |
Let me add a thing or 2 before you start your quest of finding an agent to ship your car to another country. All countries (at least civilized) have a Dept of Transportation standard on what can be imported to be consumed /driven in their country. Like in the USA there are lots of cars produced here that will not be sold here. I see rows and rows of Nissan trucks here at the port destined for middle east. THEY CANNOT BE SOLD IN THE USA. And some are even made here. Different markets have different standards. You cannot import a Hilux truck to the USA because its not made for here. If you plan to do so, there will be LOTS of modifications that has to be done before it can be allowed. With that said, a vintage car MAY have different rule(s). You need to work with prospective buyer before you export the car so that is not turned back at the port. And most importantly, you need to be sure that the cost and benefit is worth the hassle. Good luck in your venture |
Even the mail DID not originate from ACCESS bank. I get it myself but the trouble is: I DON'T HAVE ACCESS BANK ACCOUNT |
what kind of machine is this? |
YOU DO WHAT YOU CAN WITH WHAT YOU HAVE. Conditions will NOT always be right for everything. This is the mentality we have in Africa (especially Nigeria) that all conditions must be right. There are lots of journalists in various assignment overseas that have to make do with whatever they have. So, there is a function that has to be covered and they need an Aeriel shot so do the govt of Ghana go and buy crane for them? Veterans get the job done whichever way they can. Made the job fun and something interesting to talk about. |
This should be a lesson to us all. ALWAYS WEAR SEAT BELT!!! Looks like the Minister was not wearing one, that is the only explanation why his body would/could be ejected from the vehicle. The vehicle did its job and its still very much intact. IF EVERYONE IS BELTED, THEY PROBABLY WOULD HAVE BEEN ALIVE BY NOW. It is obvious at least that the minister is not belted. Most Nigerians treat seat belt as an after thought. Its been in cars since the 60's and its not for decoration RIP |
smiley001:Well said. Main problem with transportation business is that its HEAVILY dominated by half/barely educated people. And REGARDLESS of what you do or did not do, both school of thought WILL ALWAYS COLLIDE. Its easy to deal with illiterates every now and then but dealing with them EVERYDAY is another matter entirely. You just just help fastrack your own demise. God forbid. In transportation business, this is my simple rule: IF YOU ARE NOT EITHER THE DRIVER, MECHANIC OR MANAGER, DON'T GO NEAR IT!!! Most of those people involved are worse than animals. |
I did not even notice the original posting. I have to tell you that this is very common. Even if you are on ground u will still have to monitor them. You can possibly consider selling it and invest your money elsewhere. Those guys are animals |
Femmyfamous4u:Not really. If lets say 5 people works in a department but they claim its 8 and were collecting salary for 3 ghost workers. after the 3 has been weeded out, why would u hire more? Job is already being done with 5 with no issue. Hiring more is just redundant |
I am not sure you know what u are selling. Tundras were never produced before 2001 and double cabins were produced from 2004. This will be at least 2004 |
Only a crook will hate this move. Even if they cannot rid all the ghost workers 100%, they will at least getting rid of about 98% and when its done, its at least more harder than before. The goal of any measure is not to be 100% perfect but at least be difficult enough. Now you need the cooperation of the banks to do put ghost worker in the system unlike before, all you need to do is just come up with a name and a title Does not matter who initiated the BVN move, but at least we can see its benefits. Good move. |
I sure dont have all the answers to all your questions. Various tonnage of tippers are used for various projects. Most residential houses usually get 10ton or 15 tons of material so as most block industries. I will hate to break it to you, you cannot sit overseas expecting to count your daily returns. Nigerian factor will set in. Even when you are on ground, they tend to cheat you talkless of when you are not. They will tell you anything now until you get the truck and the story begins I hate to be the bearer of bad news Regards |
Blackkie:Not a good idea. When u have too many oga, there will be problem. Especially when there is low volume of production, who gets 1st? I have a good friend who is an executive with Mr. Biggs. Mr. Biggs is owned by UAC. UAC has a farm that was sold to some Lebanese investors on the condition that eggs will be sold to Mr. Biggs 1st before anyone else. Guess what? They cant even meet up with the supply. If people buy into the investment with the understanding that they will get egg and they didnt, there will be hell to pay |
If you want to go into production, always look for something that you wont have to import all the components. Otherwise you will always be at the mercy of dollar fluctuations. You produce something that you can source the materials locally. Also, a watch is not a necessity. Most people have phones that makes the watch a bit redundant. If you try to produce cheap watches, most low income people will find it unnecessary, if you produce expensive ones, it will be for the well to do and u might not sell as fast. Because once again is a luxury item. Now you have to get into the patents or ownership of the watch mechanism and movements. Unless you decide to produce it and ignore patent, u might have to pay the patent owners. You will need expatriate that can teach your people how to produce the watches (at least at the beginning) hence you pay them in $$$ cos they wont come from their country to take naira from you. If you insist on watch production, the best way to start is going alibaba's way and if you grow big enough you can begin your own If you have the money to start a watch company, why not look into farming/agriculture. Imagine you have hundreds or thousands of acres of orange / banana plantation . You can be primary supplier for juice companies. How about poultry? You wont have to rely too much on foreign exchange rate fluctuations. I don't need to kill your vibe but u need to examine all parameters of what you need to go into before you begin. Good luck |
