Beg to disagree. A high deposit rate translates to high borrowing rates for the business people. If banks are paying 15% for example, they will have to lend out at about 20% so that they can cover cost and make money.

When this policy goes across the board, depositors have no choice and will fall in line. And if you still think your money is safer under your mattress, by all means go right ahead

ATM rates at N220/$ include the surcharge of about $3 as well. And you can only imagine the amount of money being withdrawn from the ATM daily by people overseas. Stanbic Bank is happy and Chase Bank (or the ATM Owner) is happy as well for the surcharges.

That's gotta be a lot of people in a pinch the way you put it.

But RIA is quoting exchange rates at N197. Never really used them before. My offer is actually N20 higher.

I wasn't just quoting anything out of thin air. I have 2 GTB, 1 Stanbic and 1 Diamond ATM Cards with me. Rate is about N220.

Western Union is under N200. That is why i come in on the high end at N217. The spread (buying vs selling) on FX rates are N2-N3/$ hence my arrival at N217

The convenience here is that i get all the money and you don't have to spend transfer fee. Win Win if you ask me.

The rate on ABOKIFX is the street rate. You have to be in Nigeria to sell your $$ for that. I won't be able to close any deal if i use that rate. Will make landing cost of cars higher.

Especially that i can pull off the ATM for lesser rate. I will tell ABOKIFX to free me.

I won't share a container randomly unless the container is being packaged by a trusted and experienced shipper. I've heard the horror stories.
I may need to bow out of you service at this time because I am looking for an outfit that does shipping frequently. Not sure about the "let me put out some feelers" thingie. I just want to be upfront and not waste your time.

I am based in Florida and what i meant by that is that i will see who is shipping containers to determine if its a person reliable to share a container with. I haven't kept up with stuff like that in a while. No need to. The next option is that i can get a Ford E150 wagonvan and get the cycle packed, semi crated and braced. Truck it down to Florida and ship out RORO. Options are limited in your case.

I actually don't do auction vehicles. I prefer to buy from original owners so I can quiz them on the vehicles maintenance, look at where the vehicle is usually parked to see if there are major oil leaks, etc
I know it's a bit more expensive to ship out of LA since it has to be containerized and the distance too because the ship has to travel through the canal.
Bike is in LA and you're in Florida so I don't think you can help.
As bad as LA might be occasionally, ten thousand wild horses won't move me from here unless I'm going to 9ja

My honest advise is to let go. Sell this car add more money and get a good used car of this one. A good used Bid daddy will cost you about N800k or so. By the time you buy another body and parts and workmanship, it wont be worth the effort.

Its not a matter of complaining. I deal in cars as well. This posting is going worldwide. When is the last time you see a car posted on foreign sites in UK/US dirty when posted? Majority are clean before posting. Its called PRESENTATION.

Same reason you will take a shower and dress nice before going for an interview (i hope). A N1,000 car-wash is nothing compared to N1.3m the seller is asking. And something that can bring out the better beauty and value of the car. You never know who is looking. Just a word of advise.
