Investment › Re: This Is Bad News For Fixed Deposit Holder by USAutoBuy(m): 1:59am On Oct 19, 2015 |
Martins301: The Nigeria economy is ailing and our policy makers are still looking for ways to worsen the situation.
With the crashing of deposit rates, there is going to be scarcity of funds for banks to lend out. This will cause lending rate to increase. Investors will be discouraged from borrowing, as a result, we may witness slow down in new investment vis-a-vis capital accumulation. If investment falls, economic growth falls and unemployment rises. In the end, the economy suffers more because there is already of shortage of investible funds so I don't see why Emiefele will seek to discourage savings at this time. But what do I know? Nigeria has always been a place where theories don't work because of too many imperfections. Lets wait and see. Beg to disagree. A high deposit rate translates to high borrowing rates for the business people. If banks are paying 15% for example, they will have to lend out at about 20% so that they can cover cost and make money. When this policy goes across the board, depositors have no choice and will fall in line. And if you still think your money is safer under your mattress, by all means go right ahead You will find out soon |

EgunMogaji: A year ke? My project will be done by then and all of this will be moot. You offer a good service but to folks that are in a pinch. May be there is another project after that, you never know. N20 above WU and RIA is darn good and you don't have to be in a pinch. Considering that WU and RIA transacts millions of $$ daily, they can't all be in a pinch. So that it doesn't seem like its some kinda deal cloaked in secrecy. This is a public and open forum that i am stating the rates accessible to anyone and how i got to my offer conclusion. Amazing how you can willy nilly hand over your money to RIA at a lower rate of exchange with no question asked but i am the one here holding "people in a pinch" at ransom ATM rates at N220/$ include the surcharge of about $3 as well. And you can only imagine the amount of money being withdrawn from the ATM daily by people overseas. Stanbic Bank is happy and Chase Bank (or the ATM Owner) is happy as well for the surcharges. That's gotta be a lot of people in a pinch the way you put it. |

EgunMogaji: No biggie these things happen. AbokiOnTheGround is my benchmark and not Ria for black market and I can wait till March to get even more than N217, not even N197 as $ is bought at 230 in Ibadan today. #EdgeTheBetToMySide We are here whenever you are ready. Even in a year |

EgunMogaji: Correct on the rate. In fact it's even lower if you transfer at their retail location. But mi oga, we all know that white market no fit reach black one So basically making $276 more based on a $3,000 to transfer "no fit reach black one" And you are only 30mins away to conclude the transaction Hmmmm Will gladly drive that distance to make that in a span of 1.5hrs #thinkingoutloud |

EgunMogaji: I don't do WU, I use RIA. I have not reached any transfer limit so far using them and I get credit in a few hours. But RIA is quoting exchange rates at N197. Never really used them before. My offer is actually N20 higher. |

EgunMogaji: If you can do very near AbokiFX prices then I'm ready to test with $3k today. Thanks. I wasn't just quoting anything out of thin air. I have 2 GTB, 1 Stanbic and 1 Diamond ATM Cards with me. Rate is about N220. Western Union is under N200. That is why i come in on the high end at N217. The spread (buying vs selling) on FX rates are N2-N3/$ hence my arrival at N217 The convenience here is that i get all the money and you don't have to spend transfer fee. Win Win if you ask me. The rate on ABOKIFX is the street rate. You have to be in Nigeria to sell your $$ for that. I won't be able to close any deal if i use that rate. Will make landing cost of cars higher. Especially that i can pull off the ATM for lesser rate. I will tell ABOKIFX to free me. |

EgunMogaji: I have you beat but who's counting I won't share a container randomly unless the container is being packaged by a trusted and experienced shipper. I've heard the horror stories. I may need to bow out of you service at this time because I am looking for an outfit that does shipping frequently. Not sure about the "let me put out some feelers" thingie. I just want to be upfront and not waste your time. I am based in Florida and what i meant by that is that i will see who is shipping containers to determine if its a person reliable to share a container with. I haven't kept up with stuff like that in a while. No need to. The next option is that i can get a Ford E150 wagonvan and get the cycle packed, semi crated and braced. Truck it down to Florida and ship out RORO. Options are limited in your case. Regards |
Autos › Re: Cost To Ship And Cost To Clear Motorcycle by USAutoBuy(m): 9:15am On Oct 17, 2015 |
EgunMogaji: I actually don't do auction vehicles. I prefer to buy from original owners so I can quiz them on the vehicles maintenance, look at where the vehicle is usually parked to see if there are major oil leaks, etc I know it's a bit more expensive to ship out of LA since it has to be containerized and the distance too because the ship has to travel through the canal. Bike is in LA and you're in Florida so I don't think you can help. As bad as LA might be occasionally, ten thousand wild horses won't move me from here unless I'm going to 9ja A little over 20yrs in the inland empire to be precise. I will like to think that i know my way around somewhat. Sharing containers is not the most fun unless you really know the person you are sharing the container with. Let me put out some feelers and i will let you know Regards |

fixzylani: Good evening house. On Sunday afternoon I had a major accident along seme badagry road. Car somersaulted more than once according to onlookers but I came out unscathed. The roof of the car is badly damaged and a few dents on the car and glasses shattered. But my bumper, fender and booth still intact. My bonnet shifted too. But the interior is still good and engine runs as I switched off the engine myself. I heard it possible to buy a new body. Pls anyone with any inputs or advice. I'd really appreciate. It's a 2004 white Toyota Camry. Thanks in advance. My honest advise is to let go. Sell this car add more money and get a good used car of this one. A good used Bid daddy will cost you about N800k or so. By the time you buy another body and parts and workmanship, it wont be worth the effort. It will never be the same |

Kayharry: I noticed people mostly come to nairaland to complain this days .even if the car is well washed and all pics is provide they will still find something to complain on . Its not a matter of complaining. I deal in cars as well. This posting is going worldwide. When is the last time you see a car posted on foreign sites in UK/US dirty when posted? Majority are clean before posting. Its called PRESENTATION. Same reason you will take a shower and dress nice before going for an interview (i hope). A N1,000 car-wash is nothing compared to N1.3m the seller is asking. And something that can bring out the better beauty and value of the car. You never know who is looking. Just a word of advise. |

All these "fast boys" should have stayed in school. The math is against you especially in a foreign land which you did not speak the language. You are playing an already lost game. why even bother? |
