But why do non muslim lie with so much fervour when it comes to Islam? The op misquotes wikipedia for his own selfish and brainless assertion!

Islam is a verbal noun originating from the triliteral
root s-l-m which forms a large class of words mostly relating to concepts of wholeness, safeness and peace.[19] In a religious context it means "voluntary submission to God".

When a playboy model changed to islam, I commented in her support.
When some british politicians were considering banning the veil last year, commented against it.
I was originally LagosShia's only supporter when Maclatunji was oppressing the Shia on nairaland
When the chinese were trying to ban islam last year, I commented.

So dont judge me by your ignorance on atheism. I support freedom for all religions

TheBigUrban2: Funny how the only things many muslims and christians can agree on is hate.

They both agree on bigotry against atheists
It is a pity that a hatetheist would appropriate his own primary character to others!
Christianity Etc › Re: What The Nigerian Atheist Who Was Declared Insane Shows About Xtians And Muslims by usba: 10:06am On Jul 08, 2014
TheBigUrban2: Here are some interesting comments from christians and muslims on the issue
Two things to note
1) It is always funny how mulsims on nairaland always avoid discussing important issues like this. Was there a thread on the islam section discussing this issue from an islamic perspective? I have always stated that many muslims on foreign forums would be ashamed of their brethren on nairaland.
2) If your comment was quoted here, you deserve to make an apology here to Bala. At least, religions do focus on repentance and forgiveness
On 1, it is really not important to me, the same way you atheist keep quiet when and in some cases defend mistreatment of muslims, when threads about Muslims being killed people like you stay silent, so why do you think Muslims should rush to comment on topics that concerns atheists? weeks before NL blackout, a topic about the sudan christian woman was posted, atheist and their ilks rushed to comment while at the same time a topic of a christian man that murder his daughter in Jordan was posted no single comment from hatetheist! You see Muslims on NL do not need to indulge anyone's hypocrisy. As for you comments on foreign Muslims which is nothing but your postulations and fantasies, I say I dont live to make any foreign muslim proud, but to earn the love of my creator.

On 2, I still hold my above position which i stated that the boy might be genuinely suffering from mental problem, his parents did what they thought was best, Churchhill suffered mental problems but was still able to rule his country so I don't see what the big deal about a mentally ill person tweeting unless in your small mind you think, mental illness indicates one walking naked or having some sort of handicap. I offer him no apology but prayers.

I remember stating in the other thread that something could be genuinely wrong wit the boy and people were simply making their hateful comments out of their ingrown hatred for Islam. There is a high probability that he might be suffering from schizophrenia, who knows. At 29 he still squatting with his parents, that is a tell tale sign something is wrong. Poor atheist though, the boy detention had it been true, meant the world to them as it seemed to validate their discomfort of atheism.

It seems u only have one source news, the lady in question has long been acquitted by a higher court! Peter practised tarqiyyah when he pretended not to be a christian by denying that he is not a follower of jesus, so what is ur cry about? Nothing! Clearly tarqiyyah is part and parcel of christianity! Peter whom the catholic refer to the first pope practised tarqiyyah to save his neck! Countless christian following Peter's foot step practiced tarqiyyah to save their neck! Let's apply the op's logic to Peter, Peter being an "average" christian applied tarqiyyah because he had doubts in the after life that Jesus preached about! Hope u get the pt! It is pathetic making vacuous statements just feel happy that somehow ur religion founded on an unjust murder would lead u to heaven!

freethinker01: buh on a more serious note, the both religions are the worst things that have happened to humanity.
humans are the worst thing to happen to humanity, go read about how atheists under the leadership of stalin in USSR literally caused the death of millions, atheistic philosophy like nazism have wreck more havoc on humanity than the combination of all religions! We are lucky that atheists haven't been able to gain the opportunity of out numbering us, read the quote of one ur atheists co-traveller who said religion is a delusion now imagine if such persons out number those who profess a religion who knows we may all be locked up in assylums!

chynes: So why didn't the family seek for a 3rd opinion? 1st doc said he was ok. 2nd doc said he wasn't. So why believe the 2nd doc if not because of religious zealotry? Family should have sought a 3rd opinion if they had his welfare in mind
the answer should be obvious to you, the parents felt the first doc. No sabi imm work becoz they observed something to be wrong with the boy, the second doc. Confirmed what they observe, non of us live with the boy so we need to be rational about what we read. I clearly remember when that igbo lady in Niger converted to Islam, christian called her all sort of names, and defended her fathers actions etc. Those did such should remember nothing makes your religion any more hypocritical than that!

Reiyvinn: It's always Islam and its Muslim drones on the News!

First someone from sudan was sentenced to death for leaving Islam.

Ali Sina became a victim of one of those death fatwas for speaking against his former belief, Islam.

Buddhists, Christians, Hindus, e.t.c don't behave like this. Just the same radical fellows responsible for most of the terrors we are facing.

To be honest, Mubarak really got it right there: Religion insults human conscience and reason!!
christians are very good in concealing their evil, in Jordan a christian man killed his own daughter for converting to Islam, in sri lanka budhist are attacking muslims and recently christians, in new york a christian murdered a woman for being a witch etc the lists are endless, it seems the media only finds muslim related story as being juicy or out of a deliberate policy, and hence the numerous evils christians do go unnoticed!

Like I stated earlier, the boy might be truly be suffering mental illness or abusing drugs, that he proclaimed himself governor could be true, the facts are that those who are insulting and attacking muslims are only doing do because they choose to believe the boy who might really be ill and needs help, if it was the other round, we would see all sort of strange comments trying hard to explain why it is so, after all non of us live with the boy, except his parents, reminding of the story of that igbo lady that converted, her parents claimed she was bewitch etc, and all we saw from the sudden defenders of freedom of religion then was an even stranger explanation of what was given by her parents, the truth is u guys would use any guise to vent ur hate!

Foreign Affairs › Hoaxed:wedding Night Death Of Girl, 8, Denied In Yemen by usba(op): 4:22pm On Sep 09, 2013
Sana’a: Local security officials and journalists in Yemen’s northern province of Hajja have strongly denied media reports about the death of an eight-year-old girl shortly after her wedding. But the journalist who wrote the controversial story insisted that his story was correct and based on the accounts of the girl’s neighbours.

Local media recently ran a story about an eight-year old girl who died after suffering heavy bleeding and a tear in her genitals after sleeping with her middle-aged husband. The story went viral on the internet, causing outrage in the region, with people taking to blogs and social networks to condemn the alleged incident.

The journalist who wrote the story that sparked the outrage however stood by his account and insisted that his story is true.

Mohammad Radman, a freelance journalist from the province, commented on the officials’ denial by saying that the girl’s neighbours told him the girl was dead and buried.

“They are willing to give their testimony on this issue. I think the officials are trying to bury the story.” he said.

Mosleh Al Azzani, the director of Criminal Investigation in Harradh district where the marriage was thought to have taken place, told Gulf News via telephone that he personally sent for the girl and her father to question them about the incident. The girl’s name is Rawan.

“When I heard the rumours, I called the girl’s father. He came with his daughter and denied the marriage and death of his daughter. I have the photos of the girl and will show it to anyone.”

The official said that the girl was eight years old and her father was in his late 40s.

“The man moved to Haradh 20 days ago. He is a father of Rawan, another married daughter and a son. I am ready to call them again if any journalist wants to investigate this issue.” he said, adding that he did not receive any information from the local hospital about the death of the girl.

Also in Hajja, Aziz Saleh, a journalist who runs a local website, said that he contacted the local authority’s office who denied the news.

“All of them maintained that neither the marriage nor death had taken place,” he said

In the capital, Ahmad Al Qurishi, the head of SEYAJ Organisation for Childhood Protection, an independent NGO that advocates children’s rights, told Gulf News that government and judicial officials in the province of Hajja denied the information about the marriage and death.

“I got in touch with the director of Criminal Investigation, Hajja’s prosecutor and the province’s security chief who all flatly denied the story,” he said.

Al Qurishi said that his organisation conducted its own investigation into the issue by sending some activists to the area.” The preliminary results show that the story was untrue.”

Al Qurishi accused some people of using the controversial issue of underage marriage in Yemen “for their own interests”.

“Some people create these stories to get publicity and attention and aid from international organisations,” he said.#
