Hi Android17,

What do you think of the Dangote's refinery and the (expected) possibilities around solving the subsidy problems. Is there any hope in that regard.

Off the top of my head, I think there are different kind of structures that can be created for competitive economies (with Dangote's partnership of course) seeing as most of the Oil marketers are part of a cartel

Concerning Oil theft, I would think foreign mercenaries are our best bet - at least short term; especially if you think of the rot in our security system plus the incentive of Oil money

I would really like to hear your views

Maybe the Saudis can help

Olowunl01, what do you think of Jorginho as a footballer?

Looks like I may have been slightly wrong with my earlier deduction. The NPD is strong on this one.

It's all a faux reality anyways

How many games have we played then? What is the assurance it wouldn't be 20points by now if we didn't sack him?
I already provided a counter argument by saying you should extrapolate however you like.

Just get ready to make more excuses for the guy

Before firing TT, we were just 6 points behind the league leaders. Guess what we're now 14 points behind them. More games, More points right?, Extrapolate however you like

There will sha be implications for not making top 4, U'll finally get the Cobham FC u've always wanted seeing as players will want to leave for Champions League Clubs.

Patience my ass, You can only be patient with someone who knows what he is doing, not this one who's out of his depth

Tuchel fans coming for Potter are hilarious. This team is literally tuchels from top to bottom. We played some of the worst football I've ever seen the past year. 2/4 in finals where we won on penalties and needed a last minute winner the other one.

They gave him 250M and he thought sterling was the solution to our attack and an injury prone mid player like fofana was going to improve us
To be fair, TT didnt want to be involved in transfers. The failure is a general one. Wonder what the actual JD of our scout is.

I'm not sure TT woke up and just decided to go for Fofana and Sterling. I can understand Kimpembe and Auba cos these are guys he's worked with in the past but as TT's shown with Pulisic, he's not one to be sentimental when it comes to actual performance on the pitch.

He's also the one guy I would have trusted to take us out of these bad phase

I dont even understand at this point, Have people suddenly forgotten the multiple issues TT dealt with last season? Injuries, average squad, fatigue, fixture congestion, handling more than his coaching job. Plus sanctions and takeovers e.t.c.

Why would anyone think that Graham Potter could cope with those problems better than Tuchel? Tuchel still managed 3rd, won the club World Cup, made it to two domestic cup finals, and the quarterfinals of the UCL where we barely lost over two legs to the eventual winners.

Feel like it's a long term project and that's why the new owners appointed him. He has shown at Brighton already that he's capable.
Capable of what?. The demands at Brighton is not even a semblance of what it is here. I do not think Graham Potter is the man for such a long term project. He's shown nothing to make me believe there will be better things to come further down the line. Everything he says and does reeks of mid table mediocrity.

I've seen some improvements already from games like Salzburg, wolves, Milan are even city.
No, I didnt see it. I did see individuals taking the bull by the horn and not that much of structure or synergy in play

Obviously there's still a lot of things to work on especially with our press and defending in general because we look all over the place sometimes.
I have tried to see what he sees and like most coaches, I pay attention to their thought process particularly their post match interviews to see if he sees/understands what went wrong and this Graham guy has been underwhelming. Looks like a guy who is a formless tactical roop; Oh, go out lads and try your best freestyle. Not in the least bit tactical to me. He's basically just continuing Tuchel's tactics and has not evolved a bit. Thinks and acts like a mid table manager

But truth is most of these players aren't good enough and there's little he can do about it.
Na... The players are certainly not worse than Brighton and Newcastle players. These past games have been horrible; no belief, presence, game management, control, nothing.

forgiveness:
Which Tuchel's useless squad building? Who told you Tuchel was incharge of buying players during Abramovich's era?

Besides, if you didn't buy Cucurella who could have replaced Chiwell?

Are you not aware Chelsea was banned from trading players and the transfer of ownership?
Haha. At least someone remembers events correctly

For the records, Tuchel did not like to be involved in transfers or other parts of Football management. We all saw the switch with Lukaku when Chelsea was sold

For instance, I can tell you that (data) metric led to the purchase Fofana and Cucurella. TT probably just acceded to what he was shown cos he needed a WB and CB desperately. Panic bought Auba and Sterling. Even Zakaria in the last minute was not well thought out

Infact TT pursuit of many players last season was head-scratching (Presnel and the likes). Well at least he admits he's bad at it. Boehly should have rather focused on hiring a fit for that aspect and football management in general rather than taking us to the gallows for a Yes man

I don't think this is a problem from the way we played in the first half. If there were trying fanciful passes in the midfield and wanting more time on the ball by playing our usual pattern,we would have been exposed but with this tactics,i think both starting is justifiable.
Nobody, Absolutely no one who's watched them both in the middle would say the bolded.

For starters, RLC should never start for us cos he adds nothing to complement Jorginho. Very bad awareness and cannot or should not even be playing the CM position.

The pressure is constantly on Jorginho cos he's doing it alone

A complete Midfield 8 in the game and very disciplined positionally

I felt he was okay positionally, but I leave that for you to judge yourself, assuming you would watch the game later.
Yeah..Finally did.

I think he's ok too. Decent combo with J5 too. Did see him moving to create passing lanes just like Kovacic. Passes quickly too

There were few times though I saw him second-guessing where to be. That'll probably come after a few games.

An easy upgrade for me over RLC
